I need to divide a photo into 6 pieces, so that they can be used in a powerpoint presentation. Each slide will bring in another room, until the picture is all over. How to record pieces of photo separately photoshop elements 14?

  1. Implement the grid into 6 segments via Edit > Preferences > Guides and grid. This will facilitate your orientation as you go along.
  2. Enable (check) the grid on the view menu. It will not be printed or saved.
  3. Then use the marquee tool to select the room #1
  4. Then go to Image > culture
  5. Then file > save as
  6. Repeat steps 3 to 5 for room 2
  7. Repeat for 3-6 parts
  8. You should end up with.6 files that can be made in Powerpoint.

  • Dividing scanned photos on a single analysis

I used PSE6 and just install PSE12.  I work a lot with images, and the editor/image option to split multiple photos in a single analysis does not work.  It is pale in print and is not an arrow like other choices.

I have a HP PC with Windows 7 and a scanner that works perfectly, Canon LIDE.

  • I would like to add a destination to the list "send to."

I would like to add the pictures folder to the list "send to" so I can send photos to a photo folder to another folder windows 7 photo gallery photo. I was

able to do on my XP computer. The reason is when I download pictures taken at various events of my memory card, they're all in a single folder. I would then divide these photos and send them to their appropriate files.

    Hi, Raypop,

In addition to the suggestion of tetraethyle3, you can add move to and copy to... Both come handy

  • How can we ignore the video when importing? I am aware that it took 4 years ago, but I don't know that there must be a better way today?

I am currently evaluating lightroom to replace Apple's Aperture as is the end of LIFE. I am a professional filmmaker who made a few pictures on the side. Lightroom 6 emphasize the import of videos, unless I have clear them manually during import. I ABSOLUTELY NEED to divide probably photos and videos on various imports and paths to backup IMMEDIATELY when I put the card into the computer on the tray. This way of manual de-selection is stressful, slow and prone to error. It hates me lightroom - I love otherwise - on each import of the card.

Is it really now way to tell lightroom to ignore the .mov files and stick to the photos? It is very difficult to believe for a professional software and unfortunately would be a dealbreaker for me.

Would like to find a way to do it, then I would be able to commit to the ambient light for my photo needs.

    Hi GerritH,

If you use Lightroom 6/CC, there is no way to deselect the videos, but what you can do is to change the sort order to media type and unselect all the videos at the time of importation.

    • Press "check all".
    • Sort by "media type".
    • Select all video files (select a first + press shift + select last)
    • remove the flag on a single video file (this uncheck all selected video files)
    • Press on import.

If you use Lightroom 5 or earlier, there is a hidden option: hold down the Alt/Option key and "check all" and "Uncheck all" buttons turns in "check videos ' and 'Videos to uncheck', respectively." From there you can asily choose to imp [tro photos or video only.]

  • Scanning multiple images in 11 elements

How can I scan several photos on my Photosmart HP 7520 scanner in Photoshop elements 11 without analyzing one by one.  I want to place several photos on the scanner and have the software select the multiple images and place them in separate for processing files.  Thanks for your suggestions.

    Ken Goff

Scan from in the editor, rather than the organiser. Then, after scanning multiple photos, select Image > divide scanned Photos.

  • PSE10 - Possible to crop multiple images from a scanner?

I take the task of digitization of hundreds of old photos.  Currently, using my flat bed scanner, browse 4 photos at once.  Then, I use editor PSE10 digitized 'Divide the Photo' tool to divide the images in 4 different files.  However, sometimes, this tool does not correctly recognize all 4 pictures and I have to crop manually.  This can be tedious to harvest, saving reopen the old file, crop,... and this 4 times.  Is there a way to select multiple images of the harvest of a file and export each into a new file?

All advice is appreciated on my tedious task.

I hear by scanning of a group, the Group of images that you have scanned before using divide scanned Photos to separate into individual images. Once you have, it's like any other image that PSE is concerned - you can crop manually the individual pictures so do not divide scanned Photos. But DSP is the only group of command available to post-secondary studies. You can check your scanner driver. PSE was one of the first programs with this feature, but nowadays many scanners can also do and sometimes better than PES don't.

  • Creating a new catalog with the current settings?

I would like to create multiple catalogs, rather than keeping a huge catalog.  My problem is, when I create a new catalog that all parameters have a default value.  Is there a way to create a catalog and keep my existing settings?  If not, could I hope LR3?

    Thank you

    -Mark

Copy a lrcat file and open it, and then delete all the images of him. You can then use this empty catalog you want.

Consider, however, what you do - break control of your picture collection. Instead, you are better off Managing photos in a catalog and by optimizing and saving regularly. You can always sup divide your photos using keywords and collections smart and dumb.

It's the same thing in LR3 Beta when there was an effort to improve the functioning of the large catalogs, does not facilitate any fragmentation.

  • How can I stop my external hard drives being renamed by Lightroom?

Since early December, I had countless problems with LR and my external hard drives. I have 3 all Western Digital external hard drives, 2 x 320 GB passport and 1 x 1 TB elements. I called the hard disks of the computer named them when I first installed them (E & F). Since then the LR calls what he wants when I plug them so there are always question marks next to my photos as LR think I plugged a different hard drive.

Although I don't have 1 x 1 TB hard drive WD Elements LR called something different if I unplug it and plug it in again then it starts and then trying to find all my pictures.

My partner has no such problems as he never unplug his hard drives, but I need that sometimes I'm working on a laptop with the same LR catalog, if I work, so I take a drive with me with the images.

    I could do with:

    (a) a method of naming, my hard drives from WD for LR acknowledges that are connected

(((b) a very simple digital workflow - I have many books of LR but need a genius LR say 1) cela 2) do this etc - I have about 30 000 pictures and even without the hard drive problems make me a bit stuck trying to be organized - I am a photographer not an administrator and I'm really bad on the organizational side.

Help, please, I'm drowning in technology - ps I love Lightroom!

So the question is probably WIndows XP. When you attach a remote drive, Windows XP can arbitrarily assign it to one of the drive letters D: through Z: assignments. A: and B: are reserved for floppy disk drives, and C: is usually indicated on the startup disk where Windows XP.

The drive letters change generally when you plug external drives in different order. So if you have DriveA and DriveB, and you plug in DriveA then DriveB, then DriveA can get assigned D: and DriveB may be assigned E:. If, however, one branch in DriveB first then DriveA, the order will probably flip over in which case Lightroom lose track of all the photos he had previously in location D: and E:.

The solution is to use the windows Disk Manager to force the assignment of drive letters. See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307844 for more details. Set mailbox that uses Lightroom.

A problem you may encounter is if you connect a new drive, then attach your photo disks. I believe Windows will give you the new drive D; slot, since it is not used, but then randomly divided the photo viewer because it is defined location is not available. Windows is a manager of poor things, Apple is not.

The solution is to always attach the disks in the same order, and Windows will affect the drive correctly, assume a has completed the tasks in article.

Another approach is to use the Windows mount command. If you're brave, see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/205524.

  • I almost 300,000 photos in my catalog, do I divide it?

I almost 300,000 photos in my catalog, do I divide it?

Everywhere where you heard, that 100000 is just plucked from the air.

Processes such as facial recognition slow Lr, so off if you do not need. Split your catalog will be just fragments of control of your images and your workflow.

  • divide the Group of images scanned individual photos

I am a true beginner to Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 so I know nothing atall using this software so please bare with me. I scanned the pctureas finally after 3 days I understood how to get all in my organizer, as sad as it sounds. Now, with the digital photos I sent somewhere with 2, 3 or even four photos on a scan instead of send each of them separately. Thanks to this software it must be a way to separate these photos in a single independent photo of each. Anyone out there help me with this with explicit and easy to follow instructions? I would be very grateful; I am a true beginner, then pity me with software this software - it's great, but I'm just a dumbie I quess. Thanks a lot again! I'll be waiting-

Thank you so much! Think I got the hang of it now. He has worked with some fine pictures. :))

  • Cannot repair the photo library. The best way to restore from iCloud library?

The photo library of the system is damaged and cannot be repaired.

It is said "Photos has attempted to repair the library"Pictures Library 2015 ", but can not open it." .

I first met problems with this library a week before and at the time where I could repair and open the library successfully, but lacked a month value of photos.

Given that it was successfully in the iCloud library, I left it to re - sync - but this process suspended several times before the end, and the photo library of the system now seems to be permanently damaged.

I have no project of marked or impression of faces in the photo library of the system, then I would be happy just to restore from iCloud.

My plan is to put in place a new - empty - library and then that designate the library of the system.

If I understand this right, the new (empty) system Photo library will now resynchronize with iCloud and will copy all the contents of this library of back to my Mac.

Is this correct? It is the most effective way to restore my library?

And while I'm here - what is the best way to manage a very large library? I had my photo library become corrupted ten three or four times over the past years and have found it necessary to divide into single years to prevent this. I overlooked this piece of household by the end of 2015, and now it's happened again... Surely, there must be an easier way to manage libraries of images of several years?

Is this correct? It is the most effective way to restore my library?

Yes, if you don't have a useful upward on your Mac.

How do you call a large library, I've never had a corrupt Library, I think that your problems are not the result of the size of the library, but rather something else. From my experience it is recommended to maintain a local upward, I use Time machine, but also have a second to the top using a third-party backup solution.

  • Recently, I can't send a picture of small volume without her dividing enamel in parts, and the jpeg file that I sent is received in the form of numbers.

It's something that started recently... tell a month ago. I sent 2 less than 600 KB images which were divided into 3 groups, I guess by firefox. When the email arrived, they were not photos but the numbers.

Previously, I had sent pictures of several MB with no split of e-mail.

There must be a method of setting up the email to limit the number of MB to send.

Please help me find the way to make this work smoothly.

  • How can I sort the Photos taken by different cameras?

Background: A friend recently gave me a flash of his photos to a common travel drive. After the 3 week trip, we have combined more 3 500 photos.

After you import Photos, my photos and hers are all mixed in the same days in Photos. I had planned to keep a part of his own, but especially will remove them. It is the first time we did it since the migration into Photos and I can't understand how to divide these into the kind of events that iPhoto does. When we did earlier, iPhoto would be auto-sort in two separate events because they were of different cameras. It was a very simple process to pass by his 'events' delete images I didn't want, then merge the event with my photo events. It will be a very tedious nightmare of having to sort the 3 500 photos manually to change hers if I can't split automatically.

    My question:

How to change the display of Photos so I can see the photos taken on the same day with different cameras separately? Similar to the separate events, we have seen in iPhoto. Please say there is a way to do it!

    Thank you

Create a Smart Album with the criteria to include only images taken with his camera.

You can also restrict this smart album to include only photos taken between specific dates.
