Strange behavior of sound on Equium A300D - 16 c

Is not so much a problem, a bit of an annoyance sometimes really. Work of his property on my Equium A300D - 16 c (sound card and driver all fine on Device Manager, etc. etc., buttons works fine), but the noise level (volume) continues to change. I've noticed that everything first as I had installed the add-on sounds for MS Office 2007, but didn't always get sounds, but then other times I was getting very loud sounds and other sounds very calm.

I'm + enough + of course I touch not accidentally shortcut keys (at least the enlightened those above the keyboard, I'm not quick access, but are there any other shortcuts for sound?), but for example last night, at some point, I noticed the volume was set at 16, but then half an hour or later It was 4, and then this morning when I started at the volume level was 0 (but not with muted).

As I said, this is not particularly a problem, because if I need of I simply adjust volume for what I want, but she just made me curious these days for what might be the cause of this.

I ask :)... you don't know that there is a button of physical volume on the edge of the laptop?

  • Equium A300D - 16 c - display does not

My girlfriend has an Equium A300D - 16 c which had some problems lately.

In recent months, whenever she turns on the system, the display does not pull upwards and it takes several tent for lights.

The strange thing is every time that happens, the system boots normally always that you can hear the Windows 7 startup sound.

I'm looking for in this question for some time now and I'm running out of ideas.
Initially, I thought that it could be a wiring problem but by stripping the laptop down, I found that the cable was still firmly in place.

I also tried to remove the RAM, HARD drive and DVD drive, but it still doesn't pull upward. On the odd occasion she started upward when you do it, but after restart, it has not started again.

I think that this could be either a transmitting power or the mother board is on its way. This problem has worsened gradually (it took more than 20 attempts it turn on and off this morning) so finally he come not at all.

To clarify, the system will start after several attempts, but most of the time that the screen not turn on (not even the backlight). It works with an external display on the HDMI so the GPU works.
I tried to keep the power with no energy source button to unload the system, but it does not help.

I also noticed that if you hear it boot and close the cover, the reopening of the display lid will come on but with the bad (1024 x 768) resolution that has intrigued me even more.

Any ideas on what could be the problem? I would repair it rather than just buying a new as its still a decent system apart from this problem.

    > To clarify, the system will start after several attempts, but most of the time that the screen not turn on (not even the backlight). It works with an external display on the HDMI so the GPU works.

This means that you can use the laptop as part of the external screen, but it does not work with the internal screen?

This means that the internal display module isn't OK. It probably needs to be replaced.
But this does not explain the problems while turning on the laptop.

In the worst case the mother for laptop AND the internal screen are affected, but it would be really strange and rare bad luck

  • Audio driver for Equium A300D not working or projection

No idea how it happened to my computer is a new only 1 week and sound works perfectly well.

All of a sudden it will use in reading and on computer but not in the record I could play to others on another program for example.

    Equium a300d on vista

I tried the audio drivers from the Toshiba site, but nothing seems to work.

    Please help :(

    Hello

If he worked several days ago then I guess this must be a matter of software
I really put t understand what you exactly do but try to overthrow the BONE until the point of time at the beginning, when this sound function worked correctly.

    A question:
Did you also check the sound settings in Device Manager?
    Select this check box.

Go to devices-> sound Manager and check the second tab called record.
There you have to right click and mark the two peripheral options see the disabled and do not show not connected peripheral.
Then mark the new recognized audio devices and enable it.

Further, you should try to update the BIOS because a lot of strange problems can be solved by the BIOS updated.

  • Equium A300D - maybe my HARD drive is dead

I bought my Equium A300D (I think it's the correct model anyway) of PC World in the year September last after the death of my old laptop on me (fried hard drive because of the processor cooling fan break).

The old laptop, has produced some sounds strange whirring/screeching sometimes for a few months, but I'd rather foolishly ignored it thinking it was just a fan who wasn't quite to the right or something - in hindsight to make a good decision!

My Equium was fine until I turned on this morning and found that he formulated the horrible familiar screeching/whirring sound and I turned off again pretty quickly.

The screeching kicked almost immediately after, I had it working. Three times I tried to turn on the back, with the same result, and it's understandable, I am very worried about it and did not want to take the risk of leaving that he turned on for fear of causing more damage.

Sick computers are never good news in the best of cases, but not at the moment that I went through a lengthy form filling and complex that I have loan on Wednesday. I'm completely it on a pdf version recordable of the form that took me three weeks to finish where I had got up to last night, and even if I use an online backup service, I can not restore files to a different computer without overwriting what is already there, so I'm a little panic. (Also, my Equium has a Vista OS, and my office, I'm currently is still on XP).

    Three questions:
    (1) makes a whirring/squeal noise as soon as it is lighted sound it could be another hard drive dying?
    (2) would be to take it to my local independent computer store (which tend to be able to make minor repairs and put new disks while you wait) rather than PC World voiding the warranty?

I'm not sure what to do for the best, like whatever I do I need to do it quickly, because I have not long until I have to complete this form (and even if I have the online backup, rather stupidly I don't have an external backup of it), and even if I can get the fixed satellite quickly if it's the hard drive , it takes a number of days to download and restore online backup files, which is sometimes I have at the moment.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    > 1) makes a whirring/squeal noise as soon as it is lighted sound it could be another dead hard drive?
It's not impossible My HDD makes a completely dead before it too strange noise.
It was a good idea that you have backup your data. In this case you could always recover the data if the HARD drive would really die.

(> 2) take to my local independent computer store (which tend to be able to make minor repairs and put new disks while you wait) rather than PC World would invalidate the warranty?
If you want to get the HARD drive replaced and want to use the warranty, then you should contact the ASP (certified partner) in your country.

  • My Equium A300D freezes at BIOS

    Someone help with this one?

My Equium A300d froze in the Bios boot screen. Finally, I have replaced the ram and hard drive but still the same problem. By trial and error I discovered that the problem was the dvd drive... Remove the system and it loads well, put in place in and from the gel to the bios!

I replaced the dvd drive wiith a new compatible drive but same result so assume the real hardware is not the problem then can only assume a motherboard problem?

Has anyone encountered this scenario? Thanks for the research.

It's really strange question. What version of BIOS is on your computer?

If I understand you well without ODD your laptop starts properly and preinstalled operating system can be loaded.

Have you tried to implement ODD when Windows is fully charged?

  • Re: Equium A300D - 13 X - boot problem

    Hello

I can't initialize problem. Powers of phone on ok, with a few flashes of HARD drive as it tries to start. But no sounds other than the kick, fans have tried all the usual things like FN/F8 to enter safe mode, also cold start battery and network opens. Power button down for an all black screen minute etc etc, but still no screen or emits a signal. I suspect a power supply problem and have tried with different loader but no effect. Laptop is a 4 year old Toshiba Equium A300D - 13 X everything worked fine but I recently renewed keyboard, screen bezel, Mo media Ribbon, power/Ribbon button, Mo.

I thought I might have left some cable detached so all reopened and checked, but everything is correctly fixed I think.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks Bob.

    Hello Bob

It is not easy to be objective with this problem. On one side you have disassembled your laptop on your own and we don t know if everything was done correctly. I m also not technician and each laptop disassembly has been a success.

I put t really know what to say. Try to talk with someone who can help you with this and check if everything is OK. Small error as causing electrical circuit can damage the electrical components of the motherboard. Try to check the display cable connection.

Have you tried to connect the laptop to the TV and check if all come to this?

  • Equium A300D - no detected recording device

    Every afternoon,

I have a Windows Vista - and a Toshiba Equium A300D - sound recording device has stopped working - there is no visible device in the sound settings either. Please notify drivers that I need to reinstall and where I can download them. The motherboard is - Toshiba Equium A300D.*

Also my computer stops powers upward on its on. What can I do to make him stop and puts only when I turn it on again?

    Your help is appreciated.
    Thank you

    Hi Acorn1,

Do you mean the internal mic of your laptop?
If so, you must reinstall the driver for the webcam because the microphone is a part of it. You can get the driver on the Toshiba site.

In addition, if your computer turns disable you in the BIOS:
    -Wake up on LAN
    -Wake up on keyboard

  • Equium A300D turns off suddenly during use

I just got an Equium A300D about 3 weeks ago and it suddenly powers off during use.
    What can be caused this?
However it does not do this often but am still very concerned.

Sounds like its overheating. My previous laptop has done a similar thing.

The laptop is used in a dusty environment? There may be a build-up of dust in the radiator.

When you use the laptop, the vents are covered by other objects?

Otherwise if it's not an overheating issue, and that you use the original Toshiba AC adapter, bring the laptop to a Service Center for repair.

  • Where is line-in on my Equium A300D?

I am trying to record some audio of one of the Radio stations on iPlayer with Audacity on my Toshiba Equium A300D laptop, however I don't see the option on the program online...

I use the right drivers downloaded from the Toshiba site, so I'm pretty sure that's not the problem.

I am after a 30 minute excerpt of one of the shows and if someone could offer a solution I would be most greatfull.

    Hello!

You have this problem in Audacity?

I checked the user manual of Equium A300D and the laptop has only a microphone input port. Then maybe you should choose this port.

In addition, it would be interesting to know if you are able to record sounds using another program.

    Good bye

  • HP Pavilion Slimline s5304y strange behavior and stops randomly

To start, here is my card:

    HP Pavilion Slimline s5304y

    Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit SP1 Build 7601

    AMD Athlon II X processor 2 215

4 GB of RAM, blah blah blah

    Here are the symptoms:

-Win7 starts to act strangely, when the keys are depressed they'll keep recording (like that, but forever)

-Then it will attempt to force the closure but I keep open Word 2007, which will block the closure and I gives me the option to cancel or to force stop word.

-J' I usually Cancel to see what it does, sometimes it continues to operate normally, sometimes, attempts to stop become more frequent until it ask no more, and Word cannot veto the shutdown request.

-When I look at the Event Viewer system, he says he is told what USER (me) has launched the stop, as if it were normal.

-A little more digging in the event viewer application section says that before stopping, "HP Support Assistant Service" had a "PowerEvent handled successfully by the service" with EventRecordID of 10883.

    -Meet system Event ID 109

    Microsoft-Windows-Kernel-Power

    EventRecordID 45150

    -Meet

"The process C:\Windows\System32\winlogon.exe (USER) has launched the power off computer USER for the user NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM account for the following reason: no title for this reason could be found.

    Reason code: 0x500ff

There is no indication that something went WRONG minidump, no discharges of any sort, sfc/scannow ran own just like chkdsk, memtest, tester of windows 7 and all other diagnostic tools.

He did it before, but very rarely, so I thought nothing of it (which happened in the spans of the months apart) but now happened several times a day.

    Recent software additions:

Installing the software and drivers Lexmark Prospect Pro205

-Updated Nvidia graphics drivers Geforce 6150SE nForce 430 to 8.17.12.9573 and it's Helper service ver 295,73

What I did to try to rectify the situation:

-Scanned with each virus/malware free scan in existence - deleted an infected file from Java Java/CVE-2011-3544. O operate. And another unrelated to the advertising program.

    -Updated HP Assistant and Advisor

-Updated several times with various updates for windows 7

-Clean the case thought it was overheating, but nope - clean as a whistle, normal running time

    -Good fans checked

-Extract from food - looked good, constant voltage

I haven't checked the power extension cables. I heard there is a problem with shorting out on the 24-pin extensions, but I didn't have an extension of 24 pins on the power cables.

I've heard others have had problems with HP stopping randomly with a strange behavior, so I wanted to see what you guys have to say.

Could this be problems of power with my house? The wiring is old... Or more likely is a short circuit in the cable/PSU?

How can I easily repair/test of this theory?

-All right, so the system restore has nothing but destroy some files, because I couldn't not correctly backup the drive between the random stops.

However, I found the solution to my problem, that you won't believe.

Short answer: I replaced the stock HP keyboard (model KU-0841) who seems to have been short.

    The long answer:

-When the computer kept shutting down even in safe mode after a destructive recovery, I started watching again material.

-Noticed my typing would sometimes record, sometimes just go crazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzy (like this).

-Then comes the keyboard no longer works. Thus, while the veto stops with WORD 2007 and using the keyboard on the screen in Win7, I thought it was a terrible virus - it wasn't.

-When I unplugged the USB keyboard it's a strange electric 'bzz' sound, like what you hear when static is unloaded. It turns out that the USB port has been be short-circuited by the keyboard.

On the keyboard and the USB plug was going well, so I don't know who is to blame again, however - if someone is having the same weird problems with events of the power of the nucleus and 1074 with 0x500ff errors-try to check your hardware.

After replacing the keyboard, everything works perfectly.

  • Upgrade to ESXi5 - strange behavior of NIC

    Hello

Running a 4.1 vSphere (ESX) environment on a HP Blade c7000 with Flex fabric infrastructure.

The blades are BL460c g7 with ANC (Emulex OneConnect 10 GB/s) for FC/FCoE and Ethernet.

12 knots ESX. Everything works very well.

I recently decided to upgrade to ESXi5.

So I started first by the upgrade to vCenter and sub-fonctionnalite (VUM...): OK of Eveything.

Then I try with server 1 blade:

I did a fresh install of ESXi5 on the Server Blade, reconfigured it and inserted to the vSphere data center.

After some tests, I noticed that all "sounds" works well, except that I had a very strange behavior for the vMotion network: this network was not working properly.

I can not vmkping other addresses to IP vMotion (of other blades) or myself...

Looking around, I saw that all the cards are "connected".

I don't think it could be a network driver as:

-Nic driver for Emulex OneConnect is incorporated inside the custom image ESXi-HP

-Another network card (using the same driver...) are working properly.

ESXTOP is not any type of traffic to interfaces for vMotion.

    Configuration:

    vSwitch0:

    Management (vLAN2)

    VLan2, 16, 20

    Attached to vmnic4 & 5 (active/active)

    vSwitch1:

    vMotion (no VLANs)

    Alongside vmnic0 & 1 (active / stand by)

    vSwitch2:

    DMZ (vLAN101)

    VLan2, 16, 20

    Alongside vmnic2 & 3 (active / stand by)

    Does anyone have an idea?

    Thans in advance,

Just my info to a dime,

I saw that your management console and vmotion in the same range for the subnet, the reason your vmotion traffic is not used due to the route for vMotion traffic using your vmk0 (management console), because the management console capable of working as a traffic vmotion, I suggest that you have changed your isolated if network ip address you want you vMotion traffic You tried on it.

You should see the route which interface adapter is used for the IP that you put for network vmotion.

    hope it help you.

  • Has anyone ever met a strange behavior layer blend modes?

I use a little photoshop for retouching and photo compositing. Tonight, I met a strange problem. I tried create a vintage photo look and had a number of adjustment layers, including a curves, levels, fill color and there was also that some layers of texture and noise all the value of the different opacities. To the top of all of this I had a layer of tile that was black on the edges and white in the Center, on the mode of multiplication of mixture. Well, when I was clicking on and turned off, I realize that this layer of the tile was certainly lighten the central part of the whole image a little (the part which is white on the layer of the tile), almost like a screen. So I hit the thumbnail by different modes of opacity layer and saw that there was no change in his behavior, each mode has screening white, darker color and multiply. I thought that perhaps he was interacting in a weird way with an other diapers so I have not disabled all the others except the back ground - still no change. Then I dropped the layer to the bottom of the after another until it was less than the background. When I started back up again, he behaved normally for a while until that I moved it to the top of some levels in the stacking order, and then he returned to the behavior of the screen. Anyway, I mixed it autour a bit but there was no thick when it would appear correct opacity and when he wouldn't, so it doesn't seem to be any specific layer interaction. I don't know, but I don't see really no case where white multiply together should produce a lighter result even if it were interacting with a different opacity. In any case it seems to me that there is something to do with the overall calculation of the opacities. I tried to create a new layer black and white and it was also do the same, strange behavior and do not correct opacity.

I'm tired, so I'm going to bed. I'll turn off the computer and hope it goes further when I reboot, but if it isn't, doesn't that sound familiar to anyone? I'm not a regular visitor to this forum, but I thought I'd put it out there in case someone else has experienced something like this. I did that 5 gigabytes of ram on this computer and I worked there for a while... maybe that photoshop could not keep just up (?) I use Photoshop CS5, space colorimetric RGB Adobe 1998.  I never had something like this happen in the past eleven years, I've been using photoshop. Hmmm... hope I don't have to reinstall or call support or worse. I cross my fingers.

The layer is in a group of layers have an other than to pass through blending Mode?

  • Firefox crashes (and other strange behaviors) due to gifs

From a recent update Firefox displayed a strange behavior that surrounds the gifs. Sometimes, after viewing pages with a large number of gifs or several very large gifs, Firefox will do things like not animate gifs, or even do not load the images at all, an and will not stop until I have restart Firefox. What's more concerning is that sometimes in these situations, Firefox will simply hang and stop responding, forcing me to kill the process.
This page shows the behavior of hanging fairly regularly: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1021843 & page = 21
It seems more likely to happen when I scroll the page quickly. The behavior persists when I restart Firefox mode without failure.

39 of Firefox seems to have solved the problem.
