dm3-1105ea WWAN ready or not?

Hi, I have a dm3-1105ea with SIM card (on drums). I know this model not including wwan card, this feature is opcional and each DM3 model, including the SIM card.

I have now, I want to buy a modul WWAN gobi 2000 (it is good add-on?), but the problem is, I don't see the antenna cables. I know that the antenna is inside the screen lcd, but I'm not sure that this is true, because I do not see the antenna cables. This model is WWAN ready or not? When ready, where the cables? Otherwise, and I buy a WWAN card, I need thing an antenna, but I can't fix the antenna on the lcd screen.

What type of solution is, if I want to use the WWAN card?

Concerning

So, it's not about WWAN!

But you can change the material. I bought a un2420 Gobi 2000 card and drove a WWAN antenna. After that I downloaded the service manual and the laptop dissambled. After that, I have fixed the WWAN antenna and leads into the cover. Put in the card and the connecteg leads from the antenna. After, I downloaded the Gobi WWAN driver from HP support. Install the driver. Open the HP Wireless Asistans and turn on the WWAN connection. And work!   We are lucky, because the SIM card is attached to the motherboard.  And as GPS working as well!   All price: 38 pounds (WWAN card antenna + on eBay).

Kind regards!

    Hello

I'm looking for laptops with built-in WWAN.  However, I don't see this option when I'm shopping at the official site. In the wireless section, the only choice is related to the Wifi / bluetooth, WWLAN No.

Is it possible to eliminate all the ThinkPad team WWAN?  or does show anywhere if the model is ready WWAN or WWAN capable?  Thank you!

    Hello

where are you looking for mobile shopping? Look at this page and you will find an example of x 230 configuration with or without built-in 3 g and even the modem LTE (Yes, for the United States only).

My skills and supervision tell me any new generation of ThinkPad (x 230 including) are wwan ready i.e. resume adapter card wwan antenna kit and sim (of course, if they have free mini pci-e slot). But the statement - "WWAN ready" or 'WWAN Option' - is now missing in the description of the laptop on the Lenovo support site as we have seen earlier. And you can adapt wwan card yourself later.

Also, look at the options to display Type on the page of my link above. You see that all screens are made up of antennae kits, i.e.laptop is ready wwan in all cases.

  • T400 6474 WWAN Ready?

    Hello.

I have a T400 6474-AV5.  I want to know if she's ready WWAN, or if I should gain no additional element to enable this feature.

    Thanks in advance.

Hi nmistre and welcome to the Lenovo user community!

There are a few resources that will give you the detailed configuration of a standard configuration of the ThinkPad. The Tabuk personal systems reference has more detailed information. You can also punch in the number of the product on the Support site & downloads of Lenovo.

What do you mean by WWAN ready?

Lenovo world, a system has either WWAN, or is it "Scalable WWAN" (the air: you can add the WWAN card later), or there is no WWAN hardware.

    I hope this helps.

  • P50/P70: Upgrade with WWAN later is not possible anyway?

    Hello

So maybe this is already known by everyone in the world, but me. As the P50/P70 come pre-installed with no WWAN module, but with the antennas and cables already present antenna, presumably it can be upgraded with the WWAN module when it becomes available?

Now, that seems in German (item 38): http://www.notebookchat.com/index.php/topic, 55724.30.html

For those who don't read German no, here is a rough translation of what the author/reviewer to Notebookcheck.com, Andreas Osthoff, wrote:

    "

Hello everyone, we have now a statement from Lenovo on the LTE modems:

"The current P50 ThinkPad and Thinkpad P70 are unfortunately NOT" WWAN (LTE) READY "even though that some models were already pre built with the necessary antennas. As it seems at the moment - probably not it is possible that an option of post-installation WWAN (ETL) for P50 ThinkPad and ThinkPad P70 will come.

    The reason:

The WWAN (LTE) module works at a frequency of 2133 MHz, the same as the used Skylake CPU with @ 2133 MHz DDR4 memory. This causes "interference" to occur, i.e. superposition phenomena when radio waves collide.

    "

He also wrote that the P50/P70 will be delivered with WWAN/LTE April pre-built options.

For me, the P50 Thinkpad more like a product rushed. The bad thing for Lenovo, it is their top-of-the-line Workstation laptop series.

I'm still hoping that this statement was made to someone at Lenovo who didn't know what he was talking about, but knowing the bandwidth of the LTE channels 2.1 GHz, it seems likely that the statement is correct.

So Lenovo: Is the information which the above correct?

If so, what CAN be installed in the WWAN slot, now that the antennas are already pre-installed, considering that you are using a whitelist for WWAN modules?

  • WWAN works do not with lan cable

    Hello everyone,

I recently installed new card 'Ericsson 3507 g Mobile Broadband minicards Network Adapter' on my x 200 (Machine type 74542JU, XP PRO SP3), driver downloaded and installed on Lenovo's site.

And the card works fine with different Sims (conn edge or 3G).

But when I plug the cable into my LAN card, I can't connect to the internet.

Icon WWAN connection in the bar of tasks remains active, "Thinkvantage Access Connections" (v5.33) Watch also 'connected' status, but somehow can not connect to the internet.

When the Lan cable is plugged in "Thinkvantage Access Connections" is "diagnostics", when I test the "connection", he wrote "unable to internet connected" with error code 018 and "verify the firewall configuration.

I thought that maybe firewall ESET is the problem, but I after you have uninstalled all ESET Smart Security and now using only the XP firewall, but problem remains.

When I plug the Lan cable, I can then connect to the internet without any problem.

Configuring IP on WWAN is automatic, on LAN address is fixed, I want to connect to the network server.

Any help please, it's beyond my limits.

Your address a fixed IP on the LAN cable a defined gateway address?

If so, get rid of it.  Multi-hosted research for more information.

  • WWAN READY?

Hi, I just buy a new set of type 64731 3 model T400 * from a Lenovo reseller, after I bught (as to suggest) a modem internal high-speed 3 G for Vodafone (which they have already mounted in other T400)

My computer do not recognize new hardware!

Dealer do not know why, they me that defected may the motherboard. As the T400 is still under warranty I can ask them to change, but read in this forum, I think that's not the problem.

Someone can explain me if my T400 can mount this modem?

Moderator edit: Masked serial number for the protection of the Member.

I'd install driver Lenovo system interface first, then ACPI Power Management, then the keys, but I'm not sure if it's important.

Your new T400 will have a version of this software pre installed. The WWAN card "should" be detected when it is installed. When it is not, the first thing to do is to ensure that the drivers are properly installed and up-to-date.

If the drivers are installed and the WWAN card is inserted correctly, and it still does not work, you probably have a hardware problem that will be fixed under warranty.

Yes, your system is expandable WWAN. The red and blue threads indicate that your program already installed in the cover.

And finally, just checkin : The Wireless radio switch on the front of the T400 is in position, correct?

  • DbAdapter is in ready state - not to have activated.

Plan is being updated with the name of connection pools created and so I made this file plan are available to all managed servers.

All data stores are in operation. But the status of pools of connections is in suspended state. And also pools connections are missing in the JNDI tree. Nothing is present in the EIA/DB folder. So what shal I for the adapter db in Active state. Please help me.

  • X 201 mini card PCI-E WWAN seen, then not seen

    Hi all

I put an Ericsson F3507G in my new X 201, which was taken from my old SL400 (FRU 43Y6479 if it makes a difference), I am aware of the issue of the white list, and I thought that Lenovo is authentic, it should work.

During the first boot, I saw error 1804 flash upward, then disappear, and then show nothing in what concerns the Device Manager.

Nor any activating / disabling BIOS or Fn + F5 would see she recognized, but no 1804 error, and it was as if the card was a ghost.

Thought that maybe the card is too old, so bought myself a newer FRU F3507G (I didn't write the particular FRU) and swapped in.

From the first start and switch then green material shot, recognized Win7 and started looking for drivers.

YAY, I thought, and then stop PC and put all screws back correctly.

Next work, infamous 1804 error, but this time no matter how much time I powered off the power, then once, he remained still.

I had no time to go by unscrewing the X 201, so cleverly (or so I thought), I got my way F1 in the BIOS and put the "without wireless and WiMax" to disable, which allows me to start.

Having now had time to try it again, it the reactivation in the BIOS and switch the hardware switch, the only thing that is recognized again is built in Wi - FI.

Any ideas on what is happening here?

    Thanks in advance,

    Marcus

    Hi all

I confirmed the other (Gobi, the first is a one Ericsson), as I went now and has been sold and use it!

  • Satellite L850 "Bluetooth is not ready."

Everytime I try to press "Add new connection" in the BT settings, I get the message saying that "Bluetooth is not ready." Not sure if that makes a difference, but the laptop has recently been repaired and I think that the motherboard and processor have been changed in the process.

    Someone knows how to solve?

    First question:
If the laptop has been repaired, you still have the same parts inside the laptop?
Maybe the WLan module has been changed that supported Bluetooth?
    Is the laptop supports Bluetooth?

It should be noted all first!

You can also see the list of Device Manager if BT is in the list.

By the way: what system are you using and what L850-xxx you have exactly?

  • X 201 problems Wireless: Intel wireless 802.11agn shows didn't not in Device Manager

    Hi all

Just got my new Thinkpad X 210 series laptop, and it was supposed to have WiFi Intel 6200 AGN and also WWAN ready, with Bluetooth link. However, when I open the Device Manager, I do not see this adapter under network adapters, because I see that the Bluetooth adapter. I can't connect to my wireless router, or he sees no wireless connections as I now use it on another computer.

Can someone please tell me if this feature should be "on", or what? When I'm trying to diagnose my internet connection problem, also, there is no option for the wireless connection. I don't see a symbol that lights up on my screen, or just below the screen that shows the bluetooth symbol, and if I move the switch located on the side left front, it will turn the bluetooth market. I can't believe this isn't the Wi - Fi connection card installed. Is there something I need to do to enable this, or at least let appear in Device Manager? I also disabled the bluetooth button, and goes out, she also does not appear in Device Manager. So before booing and yelling at someone who sold me this, I better know if there is a turn on the switch for this adapter wi - fi enable. Any help will be really appreciated, or I'll have to wait another day to call technical support on this issue.

Thank you very much and I look forward to reading to stay on top of things by reading the comments on this forum.
