DM4 memory card reader won't read the Extreme Pro Sandisk SDHC card

I have a dm4-1201us and the built-in memory card reader will not read my Sandisk 16 GB SDHC Extreme Pro memory card. I can read with an external drive, but prefer to use the internal drive. I think that HP needs to update the memory card driver reade.

I solved the problem by inserting the memory card into the internal drive. Then I opened the Device Manager and found the drive, which was a mistake on the Bill. I deleted this device and check the 'delete the driver '. I did a restart and now it reads SDHC cards.

    Hi albedo.

Unfortunately, these drives are designed for the SATA interface and some orders may not go through interaction SCSI-SATA, dashboard controls may be among them.

In this case, you can check your statues in car with software or third-party tools and share the result with us if you have any concerns. Dashboard is an add-on software that comes with the player, but not mandatory to use, and it won't affect your use if you do not dash

  • Cannot read the Camileo Pro HD files

    Hello!

It's really frustrating. I filled out my SD card on my Camileo Pro and have fixed the camera my PC to extract the files. Windows guard saying new hardware found but will not recognize the device and keeps wanting to search for drivers.

I was on the Toshiba upgrade download site to the latest driver and put in the CD provided DV decoder. The files appear in the DCIM folders on my computer but nothing will play or extract except for a few second excerpt before freezing.

I've also attached the camera to my laptop, and again, I met the same problem. My computers are running XP SP2.

    Thanks for any help

    Hello

I n t have this cam but I have another cam that is able to record HD video.
I could play these files after that I have recorded on the HARD disk.
The cam was simply connected using the USB cable that was supplied with the cam.

I put t know what kind of video file that you have but you should google a bit, but for this file format and you should get the hits and the details.

I use VLC Player to watch these saved files. This drive accepts most standard video.

By the way; check your user manual for details and how to play the recorded videos!

  • 16 GB SanDisk Extreme Pro SDHC UHS - I memory vs Kingston ultimateX card

Currently our House has 2 cameras, a Sony Cybershot DSC TX5 and a Nikon D90. Cybershot uses a Promaster SDHC 4 GB then the Nikon uses a Kingston 16 GB UltimateX 100 x SDHC.

These cameras are used for still images and animated images, so I was wondering, did anyone know the differences between the above mentioned cards in all terms and the 16 GB SanDisk Extreme Pro SDHC UHS - I memory card (other size, I mean).

    Thanks :)

I don't know how critical these cameras are, but when you use cameras like the Canon XF-300 or XF-305, Sandisk is the preferred brand. Extreme against Extreme Pro gives you the same functionality, including sub - and appreciated, but the Pro version is almost double the price. The SD card on this device for custom image profiles and firmware updates that I use is the Sandisk 16 GB Extreme, not the Extreme Pro.

Admitted, CF or SD is of course incomparable, but if I were in your shoes, I wouldn't go to Sandisk, Kingston, and according to the difference in price, I would probably stop the extreme version, do not spend the additional amount on the Extreme Pro.

    Just my $0.02

    aShop http://UK.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/JSP/productPage.do?service=UK&PRODUCT_ID=121991&Toshib = true)
According to this page, is supposed to have "1 x 5-in-1 Bridge Media slot (supports SD Card, Memory Stick®, Memory Stick Pro, MultiMedia Card, xD-Picture Card)", but the pdf manual that comes with it says that it supports not the Memory Stick Duo, Memory Stick Pro Duo or mini-SD.

However, I have a Memory Stick Pro, and a Memory Stick Pro Duo in a Memory Stick Pro adapter, and the reader can't read one of them (they both count as Memory Stick Pro, which should be readable, right?)

Would I be able to read my Memory Stick Pro cards? Why I can't because it says that I should be able to? Should I install something first?

    Hello

To my knowledge and according to the manual of bridge housing media supports media type
    -SD memory card
    -MultiMediaCard, xD-Picture Card
    -Memory Stick
    -Memory Stick Pro

Please note that the Memory Stick and Memory Stick Pro are not the same in the Memory stick Duo and Memory Stick Pro Duo.
    Don t mix.

The first problem, the result of this is?

    thanx

    Hello

Yes, this mass storage controller could be the card reader. So, you can try to reinstall the drivers, which can be downloaded here:

    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/download_drivers_bios.jsp

or you can remove it from the Device Manager and restart your machine

or, if that didn't help then you should send your machine to a service partner chartered for an assessment of health/repair of equipment.

To find the closest, you can check out this site:

  • Satellite Pro A100-622 can not read the card SD and Memory Stick with Windows Explorer

I have a Satellite Pro A100-622 running MS Vista Home Basic Edition. I tried to use the card reader integrated with SD and Memory Stick card but cannot view the contents using Windows Explorer.

In both cases, the laptop recognizes the card and try to install new hardware. Unable to do so, he asks the drive of the software provided with the cards. Any software not provided with a card and I cannot find drivers to make the drive work.

The only application that I can find on the laptop that is associated with the player is a module of SD formatting, but I don't want to format the card (s) I want to just read the current content of them and add files.

    Any ideas?

    Hello

You can download the drivers (and especially in your case for the sd-card-reader) here:

    http://PC-support.Toshiba-Europe.com/Vista/

    and here

    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/download_drivers_bios.jsp

So the other point is the service of the SD card must be enabled in the start menu-> Control Panel (change to Classic view)-> Administration-> Services-> Chip card (at this point, you must activate the service and configure it to start at windows startup).

If you have any other questions, just ask. ;)

  • Windows XP prevents me from installing the new hardware as my Canon camera and memory card reader.

original title: problem with new hardware

last week, windows xp prevented me from installing new hardware, namely a canon digital camera and a memory card reader. Although the system recognizes the material into the machine, when you are looking for auto install it asks me for the service pack 3 cd, which I did not. I never had problems, install new hardware before. Any ideas why this happens?

    Hello

    · What is the service pack installed on the computer?

    · What is the model number of the canon camera?

    · What is the exact error message that you receive with error code if any?

If you have installed service pack 3 on the computer then you can try the method and check them off below if it helps:

Change the registry to point to the installation of Windows XP Service Pack 3 files

Important: This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click on the number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base: How do I back up and restore the registry in Windows: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/322756

    ====================================
Just guess... could this be a hardware problem?

If you have more than one port... try USB to another.

Maybe you can connect the camera to your laptop via
USB cable and see if you can download your photos.
