Create Bootable Linux full Installation on a Flash drive

Hi, I tried to install Ubuntu on my 16 GB flash drive, using a live 8 GB with Ubuntu flash drive and have been broadcast in a lot of trouble. I scoured internet for several days, but all the guides I can find are to a flashdrive bootable Windows or to create a partition on your hard drive. I followed a guide windows (here) and I think it installed correctly, but the player is no longer available for the mac boot loader.

From what I gathered online, the problem is that the reader needs a 'EFI' score with a few things on this subject for the boot loader to recognize. I tried to create the partition with Gparted on my USB Ubuntu live, but he could not format in hfs +, and even if I could create the partition on my own I don't know where to go to from there. Any help would be much appreciated.

Please forgive me if I said anything wrong above, I work with tools, I only half understand now.

When you save the project file... go to... File / save project as...
Give the file a name (Summer Vacation.mswmm) and choose

All the files (Photos, video clips, Audio clips) source should

This is correct. MSWMM is a Movie Maker project file which is

If the source files have been moved, renamed, deleted or are

  • Why force Adobe installs their new Flash drive when it is originally from the browsers play not video?

Why force Adobe installs their new Flash drive on billions of computers when it is causing so many browsers only play video?

I had installed the Flash Player 11.2.202.228 28/03/2012 and it worked very well, unlike some of the previous Flash players in several web browsers, so I chose NOT to install a new actors Flash that came after that, all based on experience.

But last Friday, 22/06/2012, I received a new message to install Adobe Flash Player that came in my office for the new Flash Player v 11.3.300.262 and I chose NOT to install it for the reason I said above... and the look now at all the problems this new Flash player has caused for so many people.

Now I see glancing at my Add-ons Manager in my Firefox browser, and in my program Panel of Windows 7 in the control panel that the stupid new Flash Player v 11.3.300.262 has been INSTALLED FORCE behind my back, even if I don't install certainly NOT it and I deleted the installation Panel when he came to my office on Friday.

And now no videos or content Flash will not play in my Firefox browser! Good job Adobe!

What is the Adobe problem?... why you require the software on our computers that obviously was not installed by the user, and then screw it to the top of our computers.

How to explain something like that?

Now, I have to troubleshoot it and try to install my old Flash Player.

    Why?

Having click on classic view on the left side of the Control Panel window, which should show all of the icons and allow him to see the Flash Player icon.  The alternative is to type 'flash player' in the control panel search box which should be also.

Note also that change the auto update to "notify me to install updates" will only delay the process of 30 days.  After 30 days, the update will be installed automatically.  You can completely disable this by changing it to "never check", but I would certainly recommend against that.

  • I want to use a flash drive for backup, BUT I want a full backup of the entire drive.

I had once an external drive for backup.  It was supposed to be a backup that would replace everything and put it back where it was.  I cheated because when I got to use it I found that it would reinstall was certain documents and photos.  None of my downloads and all the update programs has been lost. I wanted a mirror image!

Now, I think a full image on a flash drive would be the way to go, but I don't know what software to use.

I need help from someone who has this software and a USB flash drive.  Thank you

    Hello

1/10 1.5 TB = 150 GB - buy a 150 GB flash drive (if you could find it on the market today) could cost you an arm and a leg. Buy a 1 to external portable HARD drive can cost you a little more $ 100.

    I hope this helps.

  • cRIO: build the path to write tdms file on a USB flash drive

I wrote the code in figure 1 below, for open & create a file tdms on my USB flash drive that is plugged into the USB cRIO.

The added path tdms is shown in figure 2 below.

But I get the error in figure 3 below. I wonder how I can solve this problem.

    Cashany,

Make sure that the USB is formatted in FAT32 as the cRIO cannot mount NTSF or other file systems.

In addition, and this is potentially very important:

There is a known memory leak problem that is easy to avoid the code with the help of PDM on the cRIO (without code changes!).

This problem only occurs on vxWORKS targets (e.g., cRIO-9014), not on the PharLap targets (as I know).

The problem occurs when you close a PDM file reference, the vxWORKS OS can't properly unload the PDM library. Next time you open a PDM, the library reference is loaded again, if for a very long time you will run out of memory.

    The solution is very simple:

on your cRIO, locate the file or - rt.ini, then scroll down to the section [LVRT] of the ini file and locate the key called "StartupDlls".

Make sure 'tdms.out' is included. For example, according to your cRIO, it may look like this:

    StartupDlls = nisysrpc.out; NiRioRpc.out; NiViSrvr.out;

In this case, you would change the line to look like this:

    StartupDlls = nisysrpc.out; NiRioRpc.out; NiViSrvr.out; TDMS.out;

This will prevent the LabVIEW runtime on the cRIO trying to unload the PDM library, forcing to be in memory of start up to eternity. This avoids the memory leak that you would otherwise experience.

    Good luck!

  • Want to play songs from flash drive without putting them on my computer

We have recently improved our computers at work and I can not only plug my USB key and they have to play the songs.  Now media player wants to put the files on the computer, and since it is a work computer I can't do.  Is it possible to play the songs on the flash drive and not copied to the computer.  Thank you

What version of Windows and what media player do you use?

You should be able to open Windows Explorer, find the music files on the flash drive and double-click a song file to play without adding it to the library.  You should also be able to modify the settings of the player of music for him ask that the library is on the Flash DRIVE instead of the hard drive.
Note: If your company does not allow you to copy the music files on your hard drive, they can also frown on you insert a non encrypted flash drive.  I don't know fact.  Actually, there is a Windows policy that prevents installation of unencrypted flash drives.  You can check if your COMPUTER policies allow unencrypted flash drives mounting.

Hello, I just bought a HP ENVY Phoenix 810qe 245 Desktop Pc with win 8.1 there 3 hard disks and I would like to know if it is possible to create my recovery on 1 of my hd disk, would there be problems if I did that way, if something happens to my main ssd drive I would be able to use the disc drive f to restore easy back , because there would be other files on the hd f the system drive would find the necessary files?, I guess I would just need to change the boot order in the bios, and then he should find he needs to just? And I like to win 8.1 now, took a few hours to learn, but I think that it sweeps away win 7 and xp by far... my system xp ol look dusty...

    Hello

One of the restrictions on the Recovery Media Creator application is that it will only allow recovery of files to write on removable media - USB Flash or DVD player.  He can't (and won't recognise) fixed units, be they internal or external.

A document from HP regarding the creation of a recovery media can be found on the following link.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03481733

    Note:

If you decide to create our media recovery on a USB Flash drive, it must be of a type that Windows 8.1 considers as a 'removable disc' - do everything and there is no totally reliable way to tell who will run until they are connected.  For example, in the image below, the USB flash drive Dave (G) watch as a player 'fixed' and will not work, so that the removable disk (H) flash drive ' will work.

Thanks to @erico the following USB Flash Drives are known to work:

  • export of the collections to a flash drive

I have lots of pictures from a recent trip.  I need to provide some of these pictures to different people and also do slide shows.  I thought that the best way to do it would be to create collections and export them to a flash drive for each project. However, I can't figure out how to export an entire collection, and not the individual photos. Is it possible to do?

Select all the photos in the collections (Ctrl-A), then export them.

  • Rufus (free utility) takes 2 minutes to create a USB bootable for ESXi installation starting source who becomes the target of the installation, even for 5.5

Just info, one of these open Windows source rare beads that are becoming more and more difficult to find on the web these days, in the middle of a see payloads of downloader.

Rufus I found to be very convenient for the quick creation of a USB flash drive you can start from, and then only install, for ESXi, no command-line stuff to memorize necessary and very fast:

    TinkerTry.com/rufus-takes-2-minutes-to-create-a-bootable-usb-flash-drive-for-esxi-installation

works very well with ESXi 5.5 also:

    TinkerTry.com/download-vsphere-5-lab

and when finished with this flash drive and you want to use it for something else (but normal reformatting does not work), she who manages, even on Windows 8.1:

    TinkerTry.com/rufus-lets-you-quickly-and-easily-reformat-an-esxi-usb-flash-drive-back-to-full-capacity

Especially useful for people to start who shy away from Linux VMware procedure:

Format a USB to start the ESXi Installation or upgrade

    Documentation Centre of vSphere 5.5

Windows diskpart commands or potentially dangerous. Really fair, fast and useful for pretty much everyone.

    Thoughts and opinions?

  • Import of flash bootable Linux USB under VM player?

I have a USB flash drive which is a bootable Linux installation. I can boot a laptop of this flash drive.

Is it possible to import the as a virtual machine in vmware fusion?

If you ask in the context of directly using the file > import... command in VMware Fusion, the answer is none.

If you have y at - it is a way to create a Virtual Machine, using the USB itself as a mass storage device or the USB device as a virtual hard drive, the answer is Yes.

Why do you want to create a Virtual Machine from the USB device?  I ask in order to provide the best solution to actions.

It might actually be faster to create a Virtual Machine Linux using the ISO Image of Source used to create the Linux USB bootable and then if needed/wanted to transfer data specific to the user or other files on the virtual computer.

The best thing to do is to start the USB device connected to a virtual machine using the Plop Boot Manager.  That would go for the BONE from the USB stick attached to a Virtual Machine Linux to the empty address and therefore everything that follows Plop Linux load chain happening all simply the USB device.  (I want to update my KAV rescue USB Linux.)

Another way is to use vmware-rawdiskCreator to create a virtual hard disk of meta-data hard and then either use it as what or use vmware-vdiskmanager to create a normal file disk based hard virtual hard, which could be added to a Machine virtual Linux empty run from.  Note If using vmware-rawdiskCreator to create the virtual hard disk meta-data hard to add to a Machine virtual Linux to address empty it must be added manually, by modifying the .vmx config file, because it will be not selectable market thought the Wizard New Virtual Machine or Virtual Machine settings.  On an additional note, you may need to change the installation when created directly from USB this way and why at the beginning, I mentioned "that being said, it might actually be faster to create a virtual Linux using the ISO Image of Source used to create the USB Linux bootable and then if needed/wanted to transfer the user-specific data or other files on the virtual computer.'." "  A disk hard virtual created byvmware-vdiskmanager .vmkd can be added to the Virtual Machine or by walking through the Wizard New Virtual Machine or Virtual Machine settings.

I tried to create a file with the same name by using Notepad to see if there was a problem with the file name.  I can copy this file on my hard drive flash drive, but I can't always copy the ISO file.
