DNG Codec

I have a new phone of Lumina, CS 4 and XP. I need the right Codec, if there is one, to see the DNG pictures on my computer. It's those three things can work together. Can someone point me in the right direction please, I'm a bit confused. Thank you.

I propose that SageThumbs for Desktop DNG thumbnail support in Windows.

Adobe Camera Raw in Bridge should be able dissplay and edit DNG files.

I don't know anything about your phone of Lumina, but a Google search should point to a drive dng for this device.

    Adobe has free download:

    http://labs.Adobe.com/wiki/index.php/DNG_Codec

The current lists only Vista, but I think it works for Windows 7 32 bit.

Adobe has not released a 64-bit DNG codec, but if you search the web, there are some other 3rd party. The price, we're too small. For example, it's $10 http://www.fastpictureviewer.com/codecs/. Do not recommend one way or other hand, it just helps as an example

  • Windows viewer not able to read the DNG format generated by camera Fujifilm X 30 of the RAF

Hello. Since September, I have a problem. Until then, it had not occurred to me, but since then, when converting to DNG RAF files generated by my camera Fujifilm X 30, trying to visualize the viewer in Windows, it closes automatically.

I also have a Nikon D7100 and generated the NAVE of Nikon, there is no problem. I have neither the conversion of the Fujifilm RAF generated through August 2015.

The problem I've had so far with the Viewer Windows 7, and I have yet to upgrade to Windows 10.

Please pray Adobe LR some techniques help me find a solution.

    Thank you.

    Hello

I was able to view your DNG using the Windows on Windows 7 photo viewer. The first thing I did was to install the free DNG for Windows codec. A Setup program is located at the following link:

  • Look a DNG in the file Explorer Windows 8.1 as the image thumbnails... How to proceed?

Does anyone know why you can't display RAW .dng thumbnails of image files in the file Explorer Windows 8.1 even with the Microsoft Camera Codec Pack installed.

Other RAW files appear as thumbnails without problem (e.g. Nikon. NEF files). I could see dng thumbnails in Windows 7, but not with Windows 8.1. Perhaps, Adobe did not share the appropriate information. for Microsoft to get there?

See if you know how to see the dng thumbnails and can help me to do the same.

I know this thread is a bit old, but sometimes 2nd research google (15/07/15).

This Adobe DNG Codec works in point 8.1.  Its slow generate thumbnails, as against cr2 but works.

  • Why my DNG files appear as icons rather thumbnails in file manager?

I chose generate the preview JPEG size when converting to my DNG RAWs.

However, when I was browsing the file after the conversion, why the DNGS still appear as icons DNG?

I guess they should look like the JPG pictures.

Gnerating saw guarantees that a certain software will use. You 'File manager', whatever it is, does not seem to be used.

If you're running Windows Vista, you must install a DNG Codec.

  • Infrared camera profile

I have a Nikon D70 converted by LifePixel infrared.  I have Photoshop CS4, Lightroom 3.4 and DNG converter 6.4 installed, as well as the beta version of DNG Profile Editor 1.0.0.45.  I am running Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.

Using the profile editor, I was able to create a new recipe for the IR camera and save it as a recipe.  But the next step, to make it useful in Photoshop and Lightroom, is to export the profile.  However, I can't find WHERE to export it to my HD.  Lightroom shows the cab, standard and specific profiles under the calibration of the camera (depending on which file I select under develop) and the camera part seems to work correctly.

Using research Google and Adobe, I turn to the top of several references to this question of "where", but even those that specify Windows 7 gives a path that does not exist on my hard drive.  As a first step, if I go on my C: drive, I Program Files and Program Files (x 86), which are specific to programs 64-bit or 32-bit. Under the Adobe folder in these 2 files, I have a folder for DNG Codec, and for x 86 I Acrobat.com and Adobe commercial DNG Codec. If instead, I select the folder common files, and then Adobe, there are many more inscriptions (Acrobat, CS4 issues and many others).  There is also a folder called Camera Raw 5, which under both the 32 - and 64 - bit Program Files folder has subfolders AMT and the Installer data.  None of them has whatever it is called CameraProfiles, or variations on what appears in the various positions.

Please, I beg you!  I want to create and install a custom profile for my IR camera.  Where do I export the file so that Lightroom and Camea Raw under Photoshop can find it?

    Hello

The alternatives are to use (a) Adobe to convert your RAW images or (b) use the Canon utilities to convert your RAW images.  Adobe would let you convert. DNG (universal format 'digital negative' Adobe - their version of RAW).  Using the Canon's EOS utility you can convert them to TIFF, which is 16-bit and lossless (if you keep the flexibility of adjustment you want to out an image RAW.)

  • Is a codec 1.18 compatibile with Photoshop CS5.1 and Camera Raw 6.7?

I plan my buying a D7100 and want to understand the software updates required to process the raw files in Photoshop. My current software is: CS5.1, Camera Raw Photoshop is 6.7, 1.12 Codec and Windows 7.  The Adobe website says I need to improve the codec to 1.18. I'm OK with that. But this codec works with versions of camera raw and Photoshop that I currently have?

I'm pretty sure that is not compulsory for camera raw to work adobe and yes I agree with your post 5, like the nikon d7100 camera raw files require camera raw 7.4 and

Since photoshop cs5 is only compatible for camera raw 6.7, photoshop cs5 will not open these d7100 files unless you use the 7.4 dng converter to convert your first

    best to DNG files.

supported cameras and required versions of camera raw:

Or your could upgrade to photoshop cs6 or try lightroom 4.

  • "Copy as. DNG»

What applications do you use to open a file on my HDD .dng? (Windows XP) I can't select LR. The Canon ZoomBrowser EX application displays no image and the filter is set to display images. This is the right forum to get the answer? Thank you.

If you need to move things on the OS file system use LR to make it where you can see everything.

If you're still using Explorer or Finder in the file browser and then install the codecs as suggested in the link I posted earlier to see the DNG, although you should why when you have LR is beyond me

My guess is that HMDI cable / port charger HDTV interface is the question.

  • How to keep the transitions of the Apple Photo Jpeg codec

I made a slideshow a few years ago using iPhoto and exported in the form of film. It uses transitions strongly, especially of crossfades. Note that the RAW support is not brand of camera or file type, but only by the specific camera - each camera DNG format is different
