QuickTime Cale / codec AVC

Hello

QuickTime crashes when you try to open a video file of 4 k with codec AVC.

I force-quit QT, but every time that I re - open, that regularly hold QT file again and again.

QT makes it unusable.

How can I remove this file from QT?

TIA for any help,

  • Why PrP CC exports a file codec AVC when I export a H264?

    Hey everybody,

I'm new to PrPro in FCP7. I'm so used to export a file with compression H.264 .mov, and I can't believe I can't do that within PrPro. I don't know that it must be something simple that I don't see. When I export from Media Encoder H264, I find myself with a .mp4 file that if I open Qt and watch the said card is an AVC codec and it shows me the same data rate... This is really boring and frankly looks like a mistake to me, even if the file "seems" good. Can someone please explain to me what I'm missing here?

I really appreciate the info on it. Thanks to advance!

Too bad! I have been deceived by ME, because when I clicked on the presets drop I saw "H.264" and that he thought "Great!" It's what I need. Turns out that I actually want to "Quicktime Movie" and THEN choose H264 in the settings below and which will export a .mov with H264 codec, not a .mp4 with codec AVC.

  • Terms of delivery for broadcast HD - MXF / AVC Intra / Audio Codecs

    Hello

I have a number of episodes for HD delivery to a broadcaster and their delivery requirements are:

    Enveloping MXF

    Video Bit Rate 100 Mb/s

    Video codec AVC Intra

Codec video settings high 4:2:2 level 4.1

Audio Codec PCM pairs, AC-3 or dolby E

Looking at export options (2015.2) I used preset

    MXF OP1a, AVC-Intra class 100 1080 50 p

Someone knows if I chose the right one, or is there a better?

I'm afraid that audio description is simply 2 channels uncompressed - there is no mention of a codec.

This preset gives 4:2:2 encoding - or where I can get a description full of what offer presets?

    Any ideas?

what the heck is AVin, and how first read this?

"AVin" is a codec owner (the code means 'AVid INtra'). The only way to import is to have the codecs installed that ship with Avid Media Composer - it does not cover the Avid codec pack free download version.

  • Edited video is blurry export as the corresponding source, but looks great on the screen before export?

I shot 5 videos and clippled to create a second 50 reel short segments of each display. The video is for a HTML 5 integrate a Web site is a side size (235 x 162).

Everything looks great when you view the editable within the first composition (and I've tried this in After Effects as well), but when I go to export the video eventually blurred no matter if I match the source or play with the settings.

I'm guessing that something is happening due to the sourcing of several video files that are in the codecs and different packaging? If Yes, why would I be able to edit so cleanly (and go to the program), but cannot export to the same quality?

    • If it is the codec problem, what is the best format to convert all these if it exports to a HTML 5 video (if that last part the same questions)?
    • Does anyone have experience with the best settings for export .mp4 h.264 for web use? I want to get this little thing in the file size, but still of good quality.

Here is an overview of the imported videos I've been cut upward assuming its a problem with one of them (audio is not serious, we are not export):

  • Grayed parameters?

    Hello

I was exporting some clips Quicktime in format NTSC DV and noticed that I have only one option for the framerate: 29.97 FPS. Or more accurately, the framerate was set to 29.97 and the ability to change it is grayed out. However, a decade ago, when I was using the FCP, I often would export Quicktime files in dv25 codec (which I suppose is NTSC DV) to some framerates I want, from 30 to 23.97 at 24, etc. Then I noticed that the other settings that I used to be able to change the order of fields, for example, are also grayed out. I then opened my old After Effects CS4, imported the same file... .and noticed that I COULD change order framerate and field when rendering to dv25. Thus, it seems that it is not a limitation of the codec, but a limitation of Media Encoder. Does anyone know why these options aren't there in Media Encoder? Am I missing something here? Thank you

    -Saib

Saib, I think that what you encounter is the native QuickTime support from Adobe. Adobe can read and write a ton of formats natively without the need for third-party plug-ins must be installed. It is implementation of Adobe, and my guess is supported for this option is not available. Is it simply passing through the cadence? My guess is 29.97 is the cadence of your existing file. You could always demand, DV25 is a very old codec, so I suspect not much love development will be given to the parameters, but here is the link to file a feature request: feature request/Bug Report Form

As to why you are able to see all these options in Ae CS4, my guess is that you have QuickTime or the Pro Apple Apps installed on your system, you have the version of Apple QuickTime / DV25 codec. Native writing of this codec probably does not exist in CS4, so that it uses the Apple version of the format.
