    Hey UnRel.

I understand that you have updated your iPhone to iOS 10 and unable to use the iPhone with your Mac.  I know it's important to be able to use your iPhone with your Mac, so I'm happy to review some information for you.  The latest version of iTunes requires OS X 10.9.5 or later, so you need to update your Mac in order to to use with your iPhone.

  • Problem connecting iPhone to iTunes 6s

    I seem to be in a 'Catch 22' situation;

When I connect my new 6 iPhone to iTunes I get this dialog box: "the iPhone"iPhone"cannot be used because it requires a newer version of iTunes. Go to www.itunes.com to download the latest version of iTunes.

When I go to www.itunes.com I am advised to ' check for updates in iTunes. That I do, and I get this dialog box:

"This version of iTunes (11.4) is the current version" (which is of course not!).

    Help!

You need to update your Mac OS for at least 10.8.5 update to iTunes 12 (which is necessary for the iPhone 6 s).

  • Can not backup iPhone to iTunes apps

I'm I searched this problem and none of the answers make sense to me.

Problem... I bought a new iPhone 6 for my wife. I plugged the sound 5 s to iTunes to make a back up. When I connected the new phone and choose to use the backup to configure the phone, everything came, but all its applications. I looked into the iTunes app library and no apps are listed in there.

I read online to select in iTunes to automatically download applications. If I download a new application on the phone again and go back to iTunes, Yes 1 new app is here. However, none of the old applications on the old phone have been downloaded in iTunes with the exception of this new application.

Not to mention that it works not properly, I can't wrap the head around is why can't I just do a full backup as before, when he captured everything on the phone, including apps and when I restore from this backup, everything is right here on the new phone as nothing has changed. Another thing I don't understand is, sure iTunes can download new applications in the library but on all the info in the application? How to get this info transferred because the backup if it isn't the phone?

The apps will be saved in iCloud if I would like to back up on there? I worry also about the users at my work who get new iPhones and never use an iTunes backup... They are not understanding people and this will become a nightmare.

Why is - this has changed? Maybe I'm missing something?

I didn't have a great day, I'm tired and I apologize in advanced for my ignorance.

    Thank you.

Due to the thinning app, apps are transferred is no longer the iPhone to the computer when you transfer data. The version of the app that you download on your phone is not the entire application, because it contains only what is required to operate on a particular model. This allows the application to take less space on a device.

You can manually download the applications previously downloaded to iTunes on your computer, as the automatic downloads will do that for you.

iTunes is always a full backup. A backup contains only data stored on each application, not the application itself. If you want to transfer to a new phone properly, you must have these apps already on the phone or in iTunes.

backups iCloud will avoid these problems.

This changed so that applications can take less space on your phone.

  • Cannot connect iphone with itunes

    Hello

I just bought a new Iphone s 6 pluss, but I can't connect with itunes on my Mac, whenever I plug the usb into my Mac, a window appears and tells me that itunes can't find my iphone because he wants a future verson of itunes. But I have the latest verson of Itunes (12.2.2.25). I tried to reinstall itunes several times and it still shows the same message. However, I can connect my old iphone (5 s) easy way to itunes on mac even. My mac is a macbook air 11 "2011 running on Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 (11G63b)

Those who are familiar with the problem, or know how I can fix this?

    Thank you

You have the latest version of iTunes that can run OS X 10.7.  However, it is not the latest version of iTunes (12.3.2), which is required for the iOS interface 9.

The issue is that Lion has now more than four years.  You need to upgrade your OS X to launch iTunes 12.3.2.  You need at least OS X 10.8.5 (current is OS X 10.11.2).)

Install El Capitan (OS X 10.11):

Update of OS X El Capitan - Apple Support

Then go to the App Store and update all your applications.

  • iPhone 6 will not connect to iTunes

    Hi all!

Here's my problem: my iPhone 6 (iOS 10.0.1) does not connect to my iTunes (11.4) on my Macbook Pro (2008) 10.6.8 running. The message I get is: "iTunes could not connect to the iPhone 6 because an invalid response was received from the device."

    The steps I did:

1 - uninstall iTunes and reset the folder (/ var/db/lockdown) reinstall iTunes (11.4). When I connect my phone iPhone and iTunes asks if I want to trust each other. I click ok and trust on both.

.. .and that's it! Still does not work.

    Any idea?

    Thank you!

    CiberBob

You are right. An iPhone with iOS 10.0.1 requires the latest version of iTunes, 12.5.1, which requires OS X 10.9.5 or above. Your version of iTunes is too old, just like the OS X version to support.

  • HP Pavilion dv6 7000: iTunes does not connect to my iPhone 5 c

I went to the Apple Store and called Apple Care. The problem is with the computer definentally. My phone connects to iTunes on other fine computers and my power cord works fine as well. Apple Care think that something in my computer blocks iTunes for some reason that I can't share my screen with Apple Support and "updates of Windows cannot currently check for updates, because the service is not running." I have rebooted both my computer and phone several times. I have uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes.

I don't know what to do at this point. I would like to avoid having to buy a new computer...

Thank you for your comments. My roommate eventually find me a partial solution. We uninstalled iTunes and reinstalled an iTunes earlier. He thinks that my computer isn't compatible with the latest version of iTunes. So I have the version iTunes 12.1.1 for Windows (64-bit for older video cards), rather than the 12.1.2. We are still not certain why my computer did not have the latest version (it's probably just old) but I can find my iPhone on iTunes now so I'll just ti let to the old version.

  • ITunes store does not connect and then does not close help please

OK, so pretty much whenever I try to enter the Apple store that I get a little pop-up that says it can not connect to the Itunes store, I have to check my connection and try again, but whenever I close this box it appears immediately back to the point I can not even close Itunes with having to go Task Manager and ending the process manually.  I can't use the store at all and it's just getting really frustrating, because I know my connection and everything is not fine so it is no reason for this pop up.

is anyone else having this problem or if you have had this problem and know how to fix?

I've recently updated my Apple ID (including the change of password). However, could not connect to the iTunes Store to update the applications or make purchases. Any help?

Have you tried a forced reboot? Hold down the home and Sleep/Wake buttons simultaneously for about 15-20 seconds , until the Apple logo appears. You won't lose anything.

Then sign out of the iTunes Store and reconnect.
