iTunes does not connect iPhone

Hi all

This is probably a very common question/problem.

iTunes is not recognizing my iPhone connection.

-J' restarted iTunes

-J' uninstalled and reinstalled itunes

-Software update on iPhone/computer and my Windows laptop (laptop is powerful and completely new - and has worked before and it was only a couple of weeks past I connected an iPhone successfully)

-Using different USB ports

-J' tried different USB led

-Reboot iPhone

I'm puzzled. I hope someone can help before I have to go to an Apple store.

Try the iOS device shows only not in iTunes for Windows...

Thank you for your comments. My roommate eventually find me a partial solution. We uninstalled iTunes and reinstalled an iTunes earlier. He thinks that my computer isn't compatible with the latest version of iTunes. So I have the version iTunes 12.1.1 for Windows (64-bit for older video cards), rather than the 12.1.2. We are still not certain why my computer did not have the latest version (it's probably just old) but I can find my iPhone on iTunes now so I'll just ti let to the old version.

From what I understand, and I'm not a Mac user, I read that iOS 10 require iTunes 12.5.1, which requires OS X 10.9.5, based on this information from the iTunes download page.

    Mac system requirements

    • Equipped Mac to an Intel computer
    • To play videos HD 720 p, an iTunes LP or iTunes Extras, a 2.0 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo or faster processor is required
    • To play HD 1080 p video, a 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo or faster processor and 2 GB of RAM is required
    • 1024 x 768 or higher screen resolution; 1280 x 800 or greater is required to play an iTunes LP or iTunes Extras
    • Internet connection broadband to use music from Apple, the iTunes Store and iTunes Extras

  • AirPlay does not connect to remote speakers

I have a mbp 10.11.3 and iTunes does not connect to my remote speakers via airplay.  Neither my wing will connect either.  My another mbp, old people will connect with aerodynamic profile, but iTunes does not connect on this computer.  The machines to connect to a network with two base stations.  The Airport Express is about 12 years old and is not taken in charge by the Airport utility, so I don't think I can do a lot with who else than rebooting, but if I do that, it can never connect to the network again.  It is plugged into speakers with a 1/8th inch socket, and it pulls its power supply ethernet that comes from a time capsule.

In any case, any ideas on how to reconnect to the Airfoil speakers and iTunes?

The Airport Express is about 12 years old and is not supported in Airport utility

From my experience the AirPort Express has a "useful" life of 5 years. If yours is 12, congratulations! However, I think that this fact it is probably a failure and why you do you restore. What are the numbers of models of your base stations?

Are both of your Mbps running OS X El Capitan?

Let me assure you that I understand your current network configuration. Please let me know which of the following are correct:

    • Your current network consists of both a Time Capsule and AirPort Express base stations.
    • The Capsule is your "main" base station It would be directly connected to your Internet modem by Ethernet.
    • One of the Express base station is connected to the Capsule by Ethernet.
    • The other is set to extend the time Capsule wireless or simply to join the wireless network. Which is correct?
