Hey wassbiplane. Looks like your print spooler is having a bad day. Allows to reboot to see if that solves the problem.

1. press on the ORB start lower-left on the screen.

2. click on 'run '.

3 type "services.msc" (without the quotes)

4. Locate the print spooler service in the right column

5. click on restart the service on the left link

This will restart the print spooler, which basically works the print queue. Let me know if that solves the problem.

Thank you

Sean

  • Printer does not print black

My HP4620 all-in-one printer does not print in black.  I put in all the new HP ink cartridges.  I used the 'tool' function to clean the printer heads (floors 1 and 2).  I downloaded the HP doctor and ran the diagonistics.  Nothing seems to have worked to get my printer to produce black text.  Once when I was feeling my test page appeared to them as an attempt very, very small printer to print black, but it is unreadable.  Any help would be appreciated.

  • Why my printer does not print with Windows 8?

Why my printer does not print with Windows 8?

Did you just upgraded or purchased a new computer with Windows 8, and now you can't get your printer to work?  If so, this can help you.  Many people have questions about the installation of their printer on a new OS.  This will help you answer these questions and make sure you get everything installed.

    Before you start

Before you try to install the printer on a Windows 8, you should check to make sure that the printer is compatible with the new OS.  The link below will give you a list of printers that will work in Windows 8.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03168175

If you have upgraded your computer to Windows 8 formed another version of Windows, make sure all software uninstall complete of your printer.  It should still print, but to use all the features, you will need to reinstall the software, if available.

Another thing to consider is how you want to connect the printer to the computer.

    1. USB.  You must ensure that you have a USB cable which does not exceed 6 feet (about 2 m).  Be sure to connect the printer directly to the computer.  Do not use a USB hub.

    2. Ethernet cable.  Make sure you have the network configuration, you have a free cable port on the router, and you have an available Ethernet cable.

    3. Wireless.  You must ensure that you have the configuration of the wireless network, and you have the password of the wireless network.

    1. installation Via USB

Installation via USB in Windows 8 became much simpler for users of HP printer.  In other versions of the Windows operating system, you need to launch the installation and wait that it asks for the USB connection.  If you do not, you will need to uninstall the printer from the devices and printers folder and then launch the installation.  In Windows 8, which won't be a problem.  If you plug the USB cable from the printer and then install the printer software, work remains.  Now for in depth instructions on installing the printer via the USB port click on the link below.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03521864

2 installation Via an Ethernet network connection

For an Ethernet connected printer, the installation is disconcerting.  All you have to do is to connect the printer to the network.  Once you have done so, Windows 8 will automatically install the drivers for you.  Then, all you have to do is install the rest of the software, if available.  It's really as simple as that.

    http://WWW8.HP.com/us/en/support-drivers.html

3 installation Via a wireless network connection.

For a wireless printer, network installation is disconcerting.  All you have to do is to connect the printer to the network.  Once you have done so, Windows 8 will automatically install the drivers for you.  Then, all you have to do is install the rest of the software, if available.  It is roughly the same as just Wireless Ethernet installation.

    http://WWW8.HP.com/us/en/support-drivers.html

    Alternative installation methods

With Windows 8, the drivers of many printers are installed with the operating system.  These are called pilots InOS, since they come built-in to the operating system.  If you have one of these printers, you should have to do simply connect it to the computer via USB, or connect to the network via Ethernet or wireless.  Once you have that makes Windows will take care of the rest.  There are other methods of installation of your printer if normal methods don't work for some reason any.  You can install the printer is using the printer, or through Windows Updates Setup Wizard.

    Set printer wizard:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c02681060

    Windows Update:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03460648

Note: The drivers of Laserjet for the Asia-Pacific and the Japan will come only at a later date.  See below the link support site for the availability of the driver.  I will update this post once they become available.

    Hope that answers some questions.

  • Estation c510a: replaced C510 printhead to no black printing, now it does not print anything!

A few weeks ago, my printer started printing black as a very light gray. I replaced all cartridges, removed the print head and tried to clean the contacts on the back. From advice on the HP website here, I bought a new print head. Just installed and reinstalled the fundamentally new cartridges. He gave me that a message about old print cartridges may not have enough to complete the new initialization of the print head. I just rejected because the cartridges are fundamentally new (XL version, no less).

Now, the printer does not print anything. He's not even trying. Zineb screen shows he gets something to print, but it is just there to always say "now printing...". "without actually doing anything. There is an occasional (perhaps every 10 seconds) inside the printer, the noise that resembles something moves back, but it never attracts any document.

As far as I know, HP has decided that without cartridges NEW NEVER OPEN, my printer is now a brick with a shiny new print head $85.

Yes, I tried to copy with the same results.

Help, please. I really want to spend a different $70 on new cartridges and lose the new game that is already there!

    Hi @skills4lou,

The printhead you bought must carry a parts warranty. I'll send you a PM with some information to help. If you are unsure how to check your PMs, here is a post that can help - How to check your messages.

  • HP Laserjet 1018: Printer light blinks 15 times but does not print

I have 2 printers, my work horse HP laser jet and a Brother Multi printer/scanner/fax etc. Both printers work correctly when connected (usb to LJ1018 connection) or wireless (Brother MFC) to my notebook running windows 7 lite.

My desktop HP compaq core 2 duo machine is connected to two printers with the help of a brother network cable and a usb cable for the LJ1018 but I decided to connect the brother wireless to my network, because it allowed me to use my netbook without having to plug in a usb or network cable. I also created my office to connect wireless to the brother and it works fine, but now I find that I can not use the LJ1018 that I think only has a usb cable connection. Although the computer says the printer is connected it is flashing the light several times - about 15 but does not print anything. I tried to reinstall the USB driver but this makes no difference. One thought I have is that Windows XP cannot deal with a wireless connection, but also a connection usb, if yes can I have go back to wired connections?

    Hi @petec48,

Personally, if it is not broken, do not fix.

  • Photosmart eStation C510 does not print

Hi my (?) Photosmart eStation C510 printer does not print! I checked all settings changed ink cartridges, it will print a color image, but it will not print black and text is missing from the photo - I cleaned the printheads three times. I found the 'helpline' inaccessible HP and am pretty much scream of rage and frustration. I don't understand why it will not be printed. Printing ink level indicator is not telling the truth because I replacead all the cartridges this morning and he said one of them is half empty! If I see another white page out of this printer I'll cry! I guess it's maybe that black ink nozzle is completely blocked - it's the only thing I can think. Other peoples encountered this problem? and Yes, I restarted, six times

You both seem to have some problems with printing caused by your print quality.

Suzyd (and I would like you to try this too, CPilenza), I recommend do you a similar process that is Cipelenza. I would like to open your machine and remove the cartridges and print heads. Then unplug your machine while it is still open. Then use a fluffy cloth (like a coffee filter) and little water to clean the contacts on the back of the printhead (the bumps in copper). Then clean the contacts inside the machine. So shut up and plug it / turn it on. Replace the printhead and cartridges in order ask the machine.

Sometimes, if the print head is damaged, the part will be replaced.

The two of you run this software to diagnose your hardware: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02762272

    Let me know the results.

  • New printer does not print

My new deskjet 1510 printer bought in Maryland, does not print with my HP Pavilion dv5218nr notebook.  I tried for two days to get something to print.  I was able to make a copy yesterday.  Have down loaded on site and also the disc used to load the software nothing works. Running Windows XP; Perhaps this is absent.  Terminal has no history with another printer.                            [email protected]

    Jamieson,

Great name; You may be bound to the mother of Marconi!

Problem seems to be lost portions of Widows XP grateful for any printer on board.  Must return the printer with sadness.  The price was right, and it had everything I need (without WiFi and FAX, which I don't need).  No problem with the HP service, answer or product.  Problem is the refusal of Bill Gates to support his earlier successful OSs.  What I need is a system of scanning of Microsoft to find problems with printer deficiency.  I always love the simple printer and won't buy again with future software.  HP thanks to put this product on the market without all the WiFi and the FAX and other doo-dads.  Happy Thanksgiving.

  • Text in black does not print

HP6510 blocked by elderly neighbour printer: removed from the jam and I tried test print from QUICKEN. Color printed but black would not. I tried text printing of the WORD that does not print. Tried again in color that worked. Ran all controls on the screen including cleaning, align etc and tried to print the report... still no black. Installed new cartridge and checked for bent parts or tightening (found nothing), but got the same results with the same tests (several times).

Is there something unique about BLACK?   Stock replacement cartridges are more valuable than the printer itself.

Can someone point me in the direction of correction? Yes, I suppose I asked you to tell me where to go.

    PROBLEM SOLVED!

Cleaning cycle which has not corrected the problem ran previously. Removed all cartridges and reconnect firmly.

Although this was the second try on this solution, sounded an audible 'click' when the black cartridge has been reinserted.

    Thanks for the support

  • OfficeJet 660: My printer does not print in black only

I want to print in black and white, but my printer does not print because my yellow ink is empty.  I tried to change the color to black and white, but it still won't print. Seems ridiculous that all would have to have something in it just to print in black and white.

You have an Officejet 6600?  This printer has a print head permanent and separate ink supplies.  Little ink is required in all colors to print, even if you print in black only and only one of the colors came out.  (When printing in black color print head is always waving around in the air.  There are few available ink to prevent the nozzles from drying out and butcher them.)

See here for more information on how the ink is used.  In the terminology of this document, the Officejet 6600 is an IIC printer.

Sorry, you need to replace the ink color depleted.

  • HP Laserjet III: The printer does not print

I have a HP Laserjet III printer that I used with my HP laptop. The computer has Vista Ultimate. The printer has a parallel port only. A parallel to USB cable port was placed on the printer that the computer has no parallel port. Several years ago I installed the printer on this computer and it was working fine until yesterday when I accidentally deleted the printer when I was looking for cancel a print job. I tried the printer function added in the Control Panel, but the test is given a printing error message or disappears without printing. I tried plug-and-play, but the printer is not seen and is not installed. Printer drivers are suspected to be part of windows, but I can't find printer drivers, there is a HP Laserjet III printer installed to LPT1, but this computer has no LPT so not sure how it was installed. Of course, that does not print the printer is not connected to the computer. How can I install this printer to make it work on this computer?

When you deleted the printer you may have removed the entries between the usb adapter to the computer and the printer.  If you have a disk provided with the adapter which can help you get it going again.  You're dealing with two objects here and it is possible we won't communicate again.  Try another card kind of force the computer to see the new map and help you get the printer working again.  There probably many registry enteries that have been established when you plugged the adapter between the two devices together.  Some of these entries went when you deleted the printer.  One more thing, you can try is to do a restore of the computer to a date before you deleted the printer.  Who will restore the registry at this time and even the printer.  I would establish a restore point before going back just in case you lose something more important with dating back.

  • Printer does not print need to update driver of Magenta - Lexmark

Original title: printer does not print Magenta

I have an old Lexmark printer. I just installed new toner and it won't print magenta. I downloaded a new driver from the Lexmark Web site supposedly and yet, it will not be printed. I can't find the old driver anywhere, through each directory on the computer. Windows Help doesn't help. Told you to follow the instructions of the manufacturer. Manufacturer tells you first uninstall the old driver. Windows Help doesn't tell you how to uninstall the drivers.

When I contacted Windows /Dell they pass the buck to Lexmark. Lexmark passes the ball to Windows/Dell.

Would appreciate help. Found this material to support online and they scanned and said I have eight corrupt & or old drivers, but it is $29,95 to help.

    Thx for any help

  • DeskJet F4480: full black print cartridge still does not print black. Colors OK.

What the title says. All of a sudden my Deskjet F4480 does not print black. All cartridges are almost nine (changed recently, bought at Staples). Colour printing is OK. Print a page with black text and results in only the images printing color images. I only went through all the steps of cleaning cartridge several times, no difference. There is no error message, just black not appear do not at all.

    And... Here is the solution.

Funny how I found an explanation of the problem and how to fix it on a different printer manufacturer's Web site, but not on HP... But I digress.

The black cartridge has been blocked. The way of difficulty is:

    1. remove the faulty cartridge from the printer.

    2. place a small amount of boiling water in a cup (about 1/4 in.) and dunk of the print head (the part where the ink comes out) in warm water for a minute. Do not immerse the entire cartridge in hot water, just the print head.

3 take it out, pat against a paper towel, observe the model ink left in the cartridge on the towel. If too little / interrupted, dunk again in hot water for another minute, pat again. You want to get an unbroken line of ink through the length of the print head. Repeat as needed (I did 4 times total).

4 cartridge Pat dry everywhere, put it back in the printer, run cleaning cycles (1 - 2).

    5. If still not good fixed, take out the cartridge and repeat 2 (I had to do it again).

You will lose little ink, cartridge of bad and good a well (you can not run cycles with only 1 cleaning cartridge), but at least you won't have to throw a nearly full cartridge.
