  There are some compatibility issues between the last Flash drive and a few Add-ons Firefox or settings. Could see you if anything in this article helps you: 11.3 Flash does not load video in Firefox.

• AutoPlay dialog box does not work; flashes upwards and disappears

  AutoPlay stopped working on my PC. First thing I noticed when I swapped a game disc (FEAR: Extraction Point), who had been in the car for a few weeks, for another (Gears Of War). No AutoPlay dialog box does appear. I opened and closed it again, AFRAID to put in, tried an audio CD. No luck.

  What is interesting, is that if I pay attention, AutoPlay Windows flashes up, but immediately disappears. The same thing happens if I 'force' autoplay via the context menu in Explorer.

  I tried the following:

  (1) obviously checked the auto run settings in the control panel. Reset by default, activated it and left, etc.

  ' (2) ' the core hardware detection ' is running and set to automatic. Checked through "services.msc".

  (3) applied a few registry tweaks for entries "NoDriveAutorun" and "NoTypeAutorun".

  None of the above have made the difference. I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64.

  This same situation has begun to occurring with my x 64 installation Win 7 Ultimate and I tried to fix it for ten days.

  Something changed 14 10 days ago and I can't remember what it was. Too many days had passed for restoration help, because it does not restore earlier I had.

PowerDVD will launch when I insert a recorded DVD, Windows Media player launches when I insert a CD recorded and Explorer will launch when I insert a data disc. But, always selecting "ask" does nothing. I don't remember Autorun recently. I see the reading dialog box automatic box flash on the screen. I can click the drive and select autoplay, but the same thing happens - the dialog box flashes and disappears.

  I tried to uninstall CyberLink Suite and Nero. Nothing has changed. I wonder if a recent update of Windows changed how works the AutoPlay.

  I ran a full system virus scan.

  This is a new computer about a month old and I'm bored to choose what I want to do every time.

  I don't know what just happened, but I lost my summary of the steps to solve the problem on my system troubleshooting. I can tell if it helps someone, but for now -.

  MotoHelper Service has proved to be the culprit on my system. Changed the service for a manual start and Autoplay now works as expected.

  I would say, run the flash here removal tool - http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-windows.html then restart your PC and visit the 1st link again in THE BROWSER YOU WANT to USE, click on the "player download center" link and re-install flash from there. Uncheck the 'incidental' (usually chromium) If you don't.

  I use a SanDisk cruzer micro 8GB flash drive for awhile with win7 now and I alternate between use as readyboost and storage.

  But recently the readyboost option stopped on the AutoPlay list. Then, after a restart it came back, but every time I select the flash drive > properties, there is no readyboost tab to be seen.

  The only changes to the system are that I added a USB printer and scanner USB. What the hell is happening?

  I tried to format, reinstall SanDisk U3 launcher, I tried diskpart own all etc, etc. But nothing seems to give me the option
  to enable readyboost.

  Anyone got any ideas? The really strange thing is that readyboost was working fine last time I used the flash drive with Win7.

  Nope, none of that helped.

  But I think that the reason for the problem of readyboost is that Win7 didn't like the fact that I had hacked an install of my Nikon Coolscan 5ED the USB and Canon LIDE35 USB devices to work under Win7 using old drivers 64-bit XP and Vista.

  I have now re-installed Win7 and I can confirm the two my SanDisk Cruzer Micro 8 GB and 16 GB USB key work correctly with readyboost again.

  On the plus side, I realized that I wasn't not take full advantage of my computer RAID storage. I have a controller matrix RAID Intel 10CHR and after having read up on the site intel I have now installed Win7 with a RAID0 to 3.4 volume and super fast and a volume RAID5 1 TB on a range of 5xHDD 5xHDD.

• Adobe Reader does not open Flash Player on my iMac

  Hi people,

  For some reason, I can't install Flash Player.  I used to have on my iMac, but now doesn't, maybe I deleted by mistake somehow?

  I tried to re - download the app but you keep getting the message as below.

  I even tried to copy the download on a Flash drive to my Mac Pro (on which it works fine) and save it directly in the utility folder on my iMac, still no luck.  When I click the icon it comes only with the option 'remove' Flash Player

  By double-clicking on the DiskImageMounter.app does nothing by itself.  You must first right-click on the DMG you want to open, and then select Open with, then navigate to the location where is DiskImageMounter.app.  After choosing DiskImageMounter.app, introduce a 'Always open with' box at the bottom of the window.  This will make the default application to open DMG files, as in this screenshot:

• TOSHIBA PX1267E - 32 1 external HARD drive does not: seeing flashes blue/red

  Dear reader,

  I have a drive external HARD of PX1267E - 1 32. It worked fine for a year or two. Now, it started to malfunction.
  The light which should show current data traffic, now blinks red/blue (by changing half a second). When I connect it to the PC, it is a sound of connection, and a sound to unplug a few seconds later (it continues to repeat this once in a while).

  Anyone know what is happening, or what I need to do? More importantly, I need to know if it is worth fixing and if its even fixable.

  Same here with my drive toshiba 320 GB external hard... S/N: 1103060475 / PX1223E - 1 32

  It just happened last week. All of a sudden you hard drive went from blue to red.
  And the computer no longer recognizes.
  So it worked out perfectly. No problem at all.

  Looks like it is a problem in Dutch? And that's happened with Freek and me at the same time?

  How can recover us information that is still on this subject.
  Because the case where the hard drive is there... just can not be opened.
  So we can't pull the hard drive from the case.
  Someone at - it also have a useful answer in this one?

  After you install a new device driver, it is also always recognizable not on my pc.
  Toshiba Harddisk can be seen in my computer, but played cannot enter or read data about...
  It works, but no data is recoverable more because of a problem in the i/o device so he says...
