  Shockwave flash does not load on my computer. Whenever I load a page that has any type of video content, I get a pop up at the top of the page that says "Could not load the Shockwave Flash". I tried to download or install the latest version of Shockwave flash, but it still doesn't work. If I open or read the Internet videos, they charge. Instead, the screen goes gray with a face of puzzle piece in the middle.

  I found a solution. Turns, it was not a case of download a newer player Flash, but I had 2 plugins flash player enabled in Google Chrome and for some reason, having 2 plugins do Flash does not work.

  All I had to do was to disable one of the plugins.

  Automatic updates can sometimes damage the files in the profile, and I always read several web for a complaint indicating that it has not changed. This is one of the reasons why I don't like the automatic updates.

  We work in a busy environment pre - meadows where we update the content in indesign documents.

  We found in indesign CS4 after positioned update content, as the Indesign file is not updating (although the link info indicates the correct modification date and time). At the moment the only way to overcome this problem is to delete the file updated, then re place it again! (then it seems OK).

  Example:

  We have several brands of paint implemented in Illustrator (CS4). They have elements of base on the bottom layer (IE; Logos, texts and references) that are in the same position on each label. Then we have a stack of other layers for the change of the variety elemants (IE; Red layer, blue, green layer etc) - that have code numbers and codes to bars on them.

  Step 1: Back up illustrator with red layer doc lit.

  Step 2: Place the illustrator in Indesign doc - then export to PDF.

  Step 3: Check the exported PDF in Acrobat = Yes, it seems!

  Step 4: Open the doc of Illustrator (the same in step 1) turn off the Red layer and turn on the blue layer.

  Step 5: Update the image to the rhythm of the Idesign document (Yes, it's the same indesign doc, we recorded in step 2)

  Step 6: The link information area contains a time of change update - new export updated the PDF file.

  Step 7: Check the PDF in Acrobat = it looks the same as in step 3. (ie; the layer red not blue!)

  Now I have to redo a series of 20 tags at a time 1 becauce all PDFs that I exported all the same air!

  Just update the object layer options in InDesign. All of this back and forth to Illy is a waste of time.

  I have also exactly the same questions. In order to overcome, I am now running four browsers - chrome, firefox, IE and Edge, and each of them do. It is unpredictable and infuriating.

Your suggestion to do the same thing in Flash is however from the pages running Flash seize up, of course! I couldn't go pretty far in following your instructions!     Oh, it's certainly no good.  He probably won't want to help then. If you have not restarted since you started having this problem, start here.  If it still persists after restarting, please make sure you have all up-to-date with Windows Update and update to Chrome (go to Chrome > chrome) and make sure you have the latest version running.

    AHA! I had restarted Chrome but did not after the installation. I have done this now and it's fine. I managed to get into the image of the tree and hardware acceleration disabled. Facebook seems to work ok in Chrome now. I'm going to test other browsers.

    Looks like you've cracked smaily, for me at least! Following your advice, I turned off the hardware acceleration in Chrome and via the instructions from Adobe, you posted.  He now works in Chrome, Firefox, IE, and Edge. Thank you very much!

• Why not update for Linux mechanism works?

  Firefox informed me this morning that an update was available. In the small window in which this information came, there was a button marked "Update Now". I pressed the button and showed a gray horizontal bar with a short dark color bar moving from left to right. The text in the window says that Firefox has been updated. Unfortunately, that "update" can go on forever with nothing to show for it. So finally, I have to close the window myself (using the window manager).

  So my question is: why the update mechanism does not work for Linux?

  You have write rights to the Firefox installation folder?

  You are using a Firefox installation from the repositories of your Linux distribution or you installed Firefox yourself?

  If you used the deposits then you need to update via your software management.
  
  Otherwise, you may need to be updated as long as user root.

  I can't play most of the games as it says shockwave flash player needs / update, this drive was built in my computer when I bought it. I tried to update does not work. Try fixing and player shockwave is enabled. Media Suite is updated and I've updated the BIOS now, still can't play games, only a small number. (AOL games, Pogo Cayuga plays practically no games as latest verisions bingo and casino free games on other sites).

  Following a recent update of Adobe, I'm more able to use the Flash. When you try to browse almost any site, I get the following error:

  "A plug-in (Shockwave Flash) does not. Stop plugin"

  Then a popup

  I disabled Adobe Flash Player / Shockwave Flash plug-ins and is not the problem. Of course, I can't view the videos.

  Hmm, that's no good.  It seems that problems could extend to the browser based on your description, but we will check to ensure that you are using the Flash Player on the right in Chrome.

  Type chrome://plugins in the address bar and press ENTER.

  To the top of the page to the right, there is a button that shows the details.  Expand it.  (It should show - instead of + button)

  Make sure that the version PPAPI of Flash Player is enabled and if the version of Flash Player NPAPI is listed, it is disabled.  You can also check still allowed.

  

  If things are still unstable, you can consider doing a clean install of Chrome, the next step.

  I use a very slow remote internet connection.  Which takes more than a few minutes to download takes me all day.  I run a Windows XP Pro SP3 operating system and a browser Firefox 35.0.1.  My main issue is with your Downloader/Installer, I can't maintain a download link from Adobe long enough to download a version of Shockwave Flash.  Recently updated to Firefox and the plugin Shockwave Flash should now be updated but it says that the update has been blocked so I went to Adobe for trying to get the downloaded update.  It seems that I have to use the Downloader or the Adobe installer instead of the one, I usually use (DownloadThemAll). How can I get the update?

  Update of Adobe Reader, Shockwave Flash and Java used to be so easy... until a year ago. Now, I hate when I run the Plugin Firefox check, only to see the UPDATE.
