Does Oracle 10g - Record Count/Total number of records.

Hello, I'm looking to display the current records of number / total Records at the bottom left of a custom form. Please see below, made me know how this is done. Enjoy it!

record_count.jpg

Thanks, Naveen.

Your question is unclear.  Forms already did what you mentioned and appears as such in the image you downloaded.  If you don't see it in a particular form, open the form in the report generator and check at the level of the 'form', property 'The Console window' is not NULL and properly reflects the name of the appropriate window.  A NULL value prevents the message bar appears.

    Well this last query is by team and by the sense, by year, so as long as you want to the meaning as a group too, it should be ok.

  • How to count the total number of records with distinction?

    Hello guys

    I have a report that contains a list of the types of company and other attributes as follows:
    Shipto               Company Type             GC Code               Measures
    A                         cc                             x                          100
                                                               y                          200

By this report, there should be 5, but if I count or count (*) or rcompte, I actually get the total number of lines in the present report, which is not what I want...

    If someone could help me to find the total number of company types?

  • Can I get the total number of records that meet the conditions of a query using the Table API?

    Hello

    A < row > TableIterator is returned when I ask operations using the index of tables. If I want to get the total number of records, I count one by one using the returned TableIterator < row >.

    Can I get the total number of records directly meets the conditions of the query?

    I can get the total number of records directly the request of the meeting of the conditions of CLI using the command Global table - name tableName - count - index index-name-field fieldName - start startValue-end endValue.

    Can I get the same results using the Table API?

    I used MongoDB and NoSQL Oracle for about a year. According to the experience of the use of these dbs, I think mongoDB querying interface is powerful. In the contras, the query interface is relatively simple, which results is a lot of work that is usually a long time in the client side.

    Hello

    Counting records in a database is a tricky thing.  Any system that gives you an accurate count of the records will have a hotspot of concurrency on updates, namely the place where the counting is maintained.  Such a count is a problem of performance in addition to competitive access problem.   The problem is even more difficult in a system widely distributed such a NoSQL database.

    The CLI has overall command that counts, but does so by brutal force - iterate keys that correspond to the parameters of the operation.  This is how you must do this within the API.  There is not a lot of code, but you have to write.  You certainly want to use TableIterator TableAPI.tableKeysIterator (), because a key iteration is significantly faster than the iteration of lines.  Just one iteration and count.

    If you use TableAPI.multiGet () and a key with a touch of brightness full then, in fact, count the results as they are returned in a single piece (a list).

    Kind regards

  • Try to count the number of records where some columns are met

    Using SQL in Toad against an Oracle table, I'm trying to count the number of records in a table where some columns are filled. For
    example, I need to know the total number of records from a table where

    ln_stop_cd is not null - 65000 records
    ln_process_cd is <>- 25000 0 records
    ln_opt_cd is not null - 7500 records

    and the record_type = "A".

    I know that the total individual records as described above. However, I do not know how
    the SQL to show for record_type = 'A' the total count is 97500 records. Any help would be
    appreciated.

    Hello

    It seems that the problem is that the indictment may overlap; You can count the same rank 0, 1, 2 or 3 times, depending on whether 0, 1, 2 or 3 of these 3 independent conditions are met.

    Try something like this:

    SELECT     COUNT (in_stop_cd)
          + COUNT (CASE WHEN in_process_cd != 0 THEN 1 END) -- this site doesn't like the other inequality operator
          + COUNT (in_opt_cd)        AS grand_total
    FROM    table1
    WHERE     dt          >= TO_DATE ('01-JUN-2011', 'DD-MON-YYYY')
    AND     dt          <  TO_DATE ('02-JUN-2011', 'DD-MON-YYYY')
    AND     record_type       = 'A'
    ;

    You want to make charges without making 3 assists separated through the table. The problem is the 3 original requests had slightly different WHERE clauses.
    Put these conditions in the WHERE clause and make other conditions apply only to the individual counties, either with a column instead of *, or using a CASE statement that contains the condition that applies only to the column.

    Also, the date is not a column name good. Do not compare the DATEs to strings. If your column is really a DATE and you want to ignore the hours, the minutes and seconds, then the best way is to compare the column with 2 other DATES, as shown above. It's more coding, but it is more efficient and more reliable.

    I hope that answers your question.
    If not, post a small example data (CREATE TABLE and only relevant columns, INSERT statements) and also publish outcomes from these data.
    You don't have to display a large amount of data. You can probably give an excellent example of this problem with only 5 or 10 rows of sample data.
    Explain, using specific examples, how you get these results from these data.
    Always tell what version of Oracle you are using.

  • Added a counter which keeps the total number of times where a loop has run, even if LabVIEW has been restarted.

    Hi all

    I am writing a VI to measure the data and insert into a database. The measures are controlled by a loop that runs once per minute. I want to give a unique to each measure identification number and store it too much in the database.

    To do this, I want to add a counter to this loop so that I can count the number of times that the loop is executed in total. It is, even if the VI, LabVIEW or even e PC is restarted, I want the counter to track the number of executions. If say the Edeka runs twice and then the VI is stopped and restarted, I want the number following on the counter to be three.

    Does anyone have an idea on how to do it? I'm gratefule for any help!

    Clara

    A suggestion. Can you write the last counter value in a txt file and read it all by running again the vi?

  • Unable to get the total number of records processed by the processor of trade rules

    Details of the environment

    ======================

    Disqualification Version: 12.1.3.0.0

    I use a business rules processor to implement multiple business rules on one record and I am looking for a summary of the number of records increased and does not have a specific rule.

    To illustrate:
    Suppose there are 2 rules, invalid number in Column1 and valid number on Column2.
    10 records to process and 3 folders don't rule 1 (valid on column1) and 9 entered failure of rule 2 (valid number on Column2).

    In the browser of result of the processor Business, the number of past records and failed is displayed but is not part of the output of the processor itself. In the example above, there will be 1 pass and 9 fail records and given the values of said the total number of records can be derived which is 10.

    This is why the expected output will be:
    Success of failure
    Rule 1:7 (10-3) 3
    Rule 2: 1 (10-1) 9
    Note: The number of records that failed can be derived from the table of the rule ID but I don't know how to get the total number of records in order to calculate the number of records that a given rule.

    I tried to publish the County of acceptance and rejection in the browser of result of the processor Business in an intermediate table and ask the same intermediate table to get the pass and fail values but Disqualification does not allow to write and read the same intermediary object in a single process. What is the best way to get the number of records total handled by the processor business rules? This kind of attributes (that do not exist only in the browser of result) can be included in the output of the processor in the next version of the Disqualification?

    In addition, the intermediate table contains only 1 sheet with pass and failure values while the exceptions which have individual failure on each rule contains 12 Archives. What would be the best approach to merge a single record into multiple records according to the example below?

    Staging table
    Success of failure
    1 9

    Exception table
    Single ID ID rule
    Rule 1 Record1
    Rule 1 Record2
    Rule 1 record Record3
    Rule 2 Record1

    Exception table with: staging Table data merge
    Rule ID ID Unique Pass Fail Total
    Rule 1 1 9 10 Record1
    Rule 1 1 9 10 Record2
    Recording rule 1 Record3 1 9 10
    Record1 rule 2 1 9 10

    Please notify.

    Hi Jason,

    The best way to explain how to do this is with an example project (DXI). I'll send you one in offline mode.

  • Count the number of records between two values of keys (BTREE)

    How can I count the number of keys between two values?

    I use python driver and BTREE access method.

    = >

    Ideally, what I want is a set of whole time series data (intervals may change) to a given number of points on average. The keys are timestamps and the values are the data that it takes on average. I need to count the number of records between two timestamps so that I can divide this figure by the number of points I need and data on average. What is the best way to do it?  Or should I keep the timestamp constant intervals and use the RECNO access method?

    Thank you
    (first post btw... and why is there not a lot of people at stackoverflow that answering the questions of Berkeley DB?)

    BDB is an integrated db and there no internal counters or statistics you might grap to use for this.    You will have to do it manually.

    You can create a cursor, grap the records you want, whenever you get the next card that you bump a counter.

    If you are using RECNO, you can use a slider to obtain the number of registration (DB_GET_RECNO), and if all that you data is in

    sequentail records with no missing documents, you can find the total number of take the last rec #-original rec # + 1 to get a count.

    If you pass the SQL API, you can issue a SQL query to give you a count.  Select count (*) where...

    As you enter the data anyway, so better perhaps to count records as you go along.

    Thank you

  • Automatically count the total number of steps

    I have a procedure with x steps. In the title manually type us the total number of steps. As you can understand this process often translates into a failure, where the number in the title does not match the actual number of steps.

    Is there a solution for automatically Indesign to count the steps below a certain style of paragraph and add the title number. I did find something similar.

    For example, where '5' in the title is automatically generated:

    How to count (5 steps)

    1. Be patient, start whispering 'a '.
    2. Then mentally count to two...
    3. ... three
    4. ... four
    5. Crying all of a sudden 'five' and pretend that nothing takes place.

    Thanks in advance

    This can be done very easily by the script. I wrote it while drinking my coffee in the morning.

    Front

    After

    I don't know what style names that you use so I used 'Header' and 'steps '. Change them to your style of the script name (in a text editor - Notepad for example, ESTK):

    If you add / remove certain steps, run the script again and it will update the numbers.

    Here is the script and here is an example document for the test.

    DISCLAIMER: I did not see your documents, so can't promise it will work for you, as it is.

    You can use a column with data type number and not the database.
    Set

    calculation mode :summary
    summary function:count
    summarized block:your_block_name
    summarized item:name_column

    When you use find on the page (ctrl + F on Windows) it is a message indicating the total number of matches. What does the first number?
    I'm more interested in the case when this number is smaller than the total.

    Hello

    I think you mean the text stating "x of there matches", to the right of the box where you entered the search term.

    The first number ("x" in my example above) indicates the current entry highlighted on the page that matches the search phrase. If you use the upper and down arrows to navigate through the instances of this term on the page, you will see this number go up and down.

    I hope this helps, but if not please come back here and we can look at another solution for you.

  • Function to count the total number of data channels

    I know that I had stumbled on a tiara function that returns the number of data in all of my data channels.  I can't seem to find the thread where I had seen it.  I'm looking to replace a script a long time user with this simple function in my future coding.

    Thank you!

    Hi CrshTstr,

    I actually still use GlobUsedChn for that.  In more recent versions of DIAdem, you can use commads as GroupChnCount() or Data.Root.ChannelGroups (1). Channels.Count to return the number of channels in a particular group.  But regardless of which group the channels are in the GlobUsedChn variable always returns the total number of channels currently on the data portal.

    Is there a script I can use ExtendScript Toolkit that will count the total number of pages into multiple PDF files in a batch file?

  • Count the number of fields in a record of CSV file

    Hello

    Here's my problem. I need to open a CSV file on a directory and to count the number of fields in a record. I can easily read the first record using the package UTL_FILE, something like:

    UTL_FILE.fopen (s_remote_dir, s_csv_file, 'R', 32767);
    UTL_FILE.get_line (input_file, buffer_entree);

    then I count the number of commas in the buffer in order to get none. fields:

    IF buffer_entree IS NOT NULL THEN
    n: = < function that counts the number of commas in a string, buffer_entree >
    END IF;

    However, this method will not work If a comma is present within a field, that is to say:

    127763, account "TRA", 1001, 34, _ "1007 main St., apt. 798 "_"
    (last field contains a comma)

    Please notify.

    Kind regards
    M.R.

    Here is an example of regexp Etbins solution:

    SQL> declare
      2     line     varchar2(1000) := '127763, "TRA account", 1001, 34, "1007 main St., apt. 798", 42, "This, and that, and more"';
      3     fields   number;
      4  begin
      5     fields := regexp_count(regexp_replace(line,'".*?"'),',') + 1;
      6     dbms_output.put_line('Number of fields: '||to_char(fields,'TM9'));
      7  end;
      8  /
    Number of fields: 7

    Edit:
    Added the '+ 1', because the number of commas is a less number of fields ;-)
