Does this mean - Castrastrophic failure (0X8000FFFF)

Something happened to my computer and it seems that I've lost some of my files.  I tried to restore to a date earier, and this notice came.

Then try System Restore safe mode that works sometimes.

Repeatedly press F8 that you start.
