  If Firefox is ignorant preference browser.newtab.url, the usual culprit is an extension.

  You can open the page in Firefox Add-ons using either:

  • CTRL + SHIFT + a
  • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons
  • in the Windows "Run" dialog box, type or paste
    firefox.exe "about:addons"

  In the left column, click Extensions. Then, in case of doubt, disable (or delete, if possible) not recognized and unwanted extensions. Do not forget that all extensions are optional, none come with Firefox, and you can learn more about them by checking their reviews on the site of the Add - ons.

  Often, a link will appear above at least an extension disabled to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links in the last step.

  It is not that I don't like the change, in fact I love it. However, the open tabs and new Windows Open should return to the original format. Of course, there's a fancy transition but it is more annoying than enjoyable.   You can cancel a large number of these changes either by activating / disabling or changing the prefs on the topic: config page or via extensions.

  You can right click on the orange Firefox button to open the menu of the toolbar or use (F10) view > toolbars.

  Join the club of those of us who don't like Quicken 2015 or 2016 Quicken; even if I bought it for a 40% discount offered by Intuit!  I was just disappointed by Q2016 compared to Quicken 2007!

  I found a way to do it myself.  I knew someone who was still using Windows XP, and with his permission, I found all the files of spiders by searching, put them on my backup stick and put the files on my computer at home.  I just put it on the desktop so it is easy to find and it works very well.  Only, I transferred the .exe file.

  It is a big question. For me, I don't want to hurt to see what I need for everything that contributes, I like it.

  There are a lot of different ways, you can see things in the Finder that you might like, but there is also information on how to expand the 'Name' column too. The following article, well written for El Capitan still provides a basic concepts that apply to the Mavericks as well:

  If you are only interested to expand the column enough to know the names of files, here is what you will do.

  Resizing of columns: column and Cover Flow in the list view, drag the line between column headers.

  To develop a column to display the names of files in their entirety, double-click the column separator.

  I misunderstood your dilemma.  I thought that you see the names of your co-workers at your workplace.

  Are you talking about the Photoshop splash screen you get when you launch Photoshop?

  Photoshop splash screen displays the names of the developers of Photoshop, beginning always by Thomas Knoll.

  The splash screen does not scroll for about 30 seconds.   If your collection of plug-ins is huge, the splash screen will drag long enough to start scrolling.

  I don't have CS4 to try it, but I tried it with CS5.   If your Photoshop launch time is less than 30 seconds (which is mine), the splash screen disappears without a list of the names of scroll (static).

  BTW: an 'Easter Egg' is located within Photoshop.  If you hold down the control key and click Help > about Photoshop, you will see the Easter egg surprise.

  Hi, I'm not familiar with Mac, but I think it should work - it does in Windows: Type Subject: config in the address bar, press ENTER, accept the warning, scroll to browser.preferences.inContent and double-click on it to change the "value" from true to False, taking care to not to change what anyone else. You will then need to restart Firefox.

• Don't like the new pdf.js Viewer. How can I disable it and restore Acrobat Reader as my favorite plugin?

  I don't really like the look-and-feel of the new pdf.js Viewer. On my machine (6 yr old HP running Windows XP with sp 3) it displays more slowly than Acrobat Reader, and I was perfectly happy with the Acrobat Reader plugin. Frankly, I want to disable pdf.js, but have not been able to find a way to do it. It does not appear anywhere that I could find the Add-ons Manager. I don't want to be forced to use a feature that seems to be a detriment to performance, at least for me. Mozilla, please review this!

  You can set the pref pdfjs.disabled true on the topic: config page to disable the build-in the PDF Viewer and use the Adobe Reader software instead.

  Disable search suggestions by right clicking the text field in the search bar and remove the mark in front of "Show Suggestions".
