  • Kernel panics don't allow relocation of the El Capitan

My 2015 13 inch MacBook Pro with SSD 512 started special behavior of exposure to the course to restart this week. Before this week, the recent troubles were only occasional web page that never completely load, which I fixed it just to restart the browser. Although a laptop computer, the computer is rarely moved or even disconnected. It's a stock Mac without MS Office or Flash, with a few apps not Apple.

The special observation was that the laptop has gone through several Apple white on black screens during a routine start with thin whie progress bars that would freeze, followed by restart again. When all small text began to appear in the upper left of the screen (white text on a black background), it was obvious that something was wrong. I know now what are the kernel panics.

Disk utility has revealed no problems, so I finally called Apple Support. We tried to restart in safe mode, but the problem persisted. We tried to boot into recovery mode, but the problem persisted. Finally, we were able to get into recovery mode (even if after six kernel panics) and decided to reinstall the system (El Capitan 10.11.3). As it progressed, I left and went to work. At his return and the awakening of the computer, I saw the message that the computer has been restarted due to a problem. Disappointment, because it meant that it was still having trouble. I arranged for a visit to the Genius Bar, fortunately basically right across the street.

Although I had run a diagnostic of the consumer of the House (no problem detected), the first thing done engineering was their hardware diagnostics. That revealed no problems whatsoever. I had a Time Machine backup, and so we decided to go and recreate the image on the computer. He seemed confident that it could solve the problem. It connected to their network image 10.11.3 they use in the store all the time and was surprised by the result. Instead of a new installation, my account was on the screen with the message on the computer is restarted due to a problem. After rehearsal and get the same result, my laptop was sent away from their computer laptop "hospital."

Finally, my two questions: 1) I can trust my Time Machine backup to operate in automatic mode to transfer my stuff, or do I have to manually bring things overs, piece by piece. I certainly re - will download and install fresh copies of all my applications. (2) in the world, is there trouble with the MBP that it oppose the setting and the redefinition even if all the testing equipment and the disk first aid report no problem? Should I have insisted on a new replacement computer instead? The computer is less than six months.

    Thank you

After rehearsal and get the same result, my laptop was sent away from their computer laptop "hospital."

Well, because it feels like it's a hardware problem and you have done all the good measures.

Assuming that the Mac is really fixed, then you can restore backups Time Machine.

Intermittent failure of RAM (rare for Apple, as long as RAM, but not impossible).

lack of SSD, bad return data in readings, including loading programs so that they do not.

I've seen don't panic the kernel USB devices cause no.  Your keyboard and trackpad interface via internal USB bus.

That's the big 3 I can think.   NOTE: Generally the Apple hardware does not have such problems, but when you make millions of units, it can happen.

And the diagnosis is unable to put the component under the correct pressure.  If it is associated with USB, you're not typing and moving the mouse during the tests.  I've seen cases of failures of memory where you had to stand on one leg, while turning to the left (not right), drink a glass of milk (not skim).  Okay, that's not true, but yes, I've seen problems with memory where you access the zone of memory making a specific type of operation in a specific before the memory sequence would fail.  Made me crazy back in the mid-70 (yes I've been a user of the computer at the time).

(NB I recently changed this computer through a Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse - but the problem is still there if I use a normal wired mouse).

    Update video drivers. Bring:

    1. site of the device mftr. ; OR
    2. site of the card mother mftr. If the material is on board; OR
    3. website of the OEM manufacturer for your specific machine if you have a PC OEM (HP, Dell, Sony, etc.).

Read the installation instructions on the Web site where you get the drivers.

To find out what hardware is in your computer:

    1. read all documentation that you got when you purchased the computer.
    2. If the computer is OEM, access the site Web of the OEM for your specific model machine and look at the specs (you'll be there to get the drivers anyway)
    3. download, install and run a program of inventory of the free system like Belarc Advisor or System Information for Windows.

  • I was sent an email with documents and sees them he says I don't have enough memory, anyone can help?

can someone guide me through this im a little new with computers yet and may not know? He just guard tellin me that I don't have the memory to open this file! idk. my computer isn't even a month!

Next time please quote the error exactly and describe the file you are trying to open. I can't say what "file." idk. "is supposed to mean. Probably you are trying to open a file and you do not have a program installed that can do this. Please do the following we can help you:

1 Control Panel > Folder Options > view Tab. Uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types". Now, you'll be able to see the file extensions. A file extension is composed of three letters after the 'point' in the name of the file and tells Windows what program open file. Example: in the file name mystory.doc, the ".doc" tells Windows that this is a MS Word document.

2 poster is back with the full name of the file you want to open, including its extension. After that, I'll be able to help you.

    3. make sure that you save the file on your hard drive (a place like My Documents is good or a download in My Documents folder) before trying to open it.

I'm sorry, but you will need a Windows 9 x / ME drive to provide during the XP installation from the XP disc is a version upgrade. There is no way around that. See if you can find a friend with an older operating system disk (not a recovery disk) to support qualification. Otherwise, you would need to buy the full version (not upgrade) of XP to install on the computer. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

need to make space on my pc for re - org hard disk and a user folder size is 14.3 GB

I guess that this computer has never been maintained. Of course, you must delete the files in the Temp directory. You can use CCleaner to clean up, but cannot use cleaning tools. Do not use Registry tools.

You can't "integrate" the two discs. There are several things you can do.

1 clone the musette to the largest disk drive. Then reinstall the smallest drive with the largest. This will naturally remove everything on the disc with greater capacity. You can download free software cloning among the mftrs by car. Web site. There will be instructions on its use on the Web site.

    2. replace the disc with the greatest and do a clean install of Windows. You may be able to just do a repair installation, too. Since you don't give details on what went wrong, I have no idea what you have already tried.

    http://michaelstevenstech.com/cleanxpinstall.html - Clean install - how-to
http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Reinstalling_Windows - what you will need at hand

    3. delete the operating system the largest slave drive and use it for storage. Move all the data from the musette to the largest disk drive. Uninstall all unnecessary programs from a small car. If you need the programs, you can re-install the disk with greater capacity. Some files are still on the drive system, but most of the files will be on the drive capacity.

    4. don't forget to do the maintenance on your system drive, removing temporary/Temporary Internet Files which will also help.

  • I'm looking to possibly buy a netbook for my daughter. I don't know if it will support the home and office. How can I understand this?

I have GB or 2GB of memory on the netbook?
160 or 250 GB hard drive?

If the netbook is running XP Home Edition, 1 GB of memory is more than enough. XP Home supports Office. The choice of the size of the hard drive is yours and really depends on what your daughter will do with the machine. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

  • My Gateway computer crashed after an indication there is a corrupted file and system restore disks must be used. We have never done their... What would be the way cheaper and easier to get this computer working?

It started when my laptop was having problems (Vista 64 bt).  It's less than a month and the motherboard consumed.  If we use our Gateway desktop model that has Windows XP.  I found my laptop and tried to connect it to the radio.  Desktop just completely crashed.  He said there was a corrupt file and I should reinstall windows.  I'm disabed and I tried to read the instructions and use the F10 or F11 key but I couldn't do anything.  I entered the manual to find these virgins back up discs.  I bought a Dell, one month before and all disks are there... we had nothing to do.  I hate to admit that we did not open the manual.  I read that you can get the readers or the manufacturer's cd.  What is the best way.  I will have surgery soon and I can not contact with people because of my immune system for months.  I have a 14 year old who lives on the computer and take care of his Webkinz.  I have to fix this!   Thank you
