Don't want notifications on my MacBook Pro iMessages

I use my iPhone and my MacBook to send messages through iMessage, but I don't want to receive notifications that come in the top right corner on my MacBook.  Is there a way prevent the notifications, but always return iMessage messages?

Yes

On the Mac

    Since the Mac App Store:

    1. Open the Mac App Store.
    2. From the top of the window, click on purchases. Your purchased apps will appear.
    3. Scroll down to find the application you want to download.

  • I want to upgrade my MacBook Pro mid-2012 with an SSD

I got the MacBook Pro 13 inch mid-2012 non-retine, it is only 1 year. And I would like to replace the HARD drive with the EVO of 850 Samsung 500 GB 2.5 inch SATA III internal SSD I was wondering if this would correspond to my Mac. Also, how exactly do to install it. • Don't want Notification by page with new E-mails only voicemails

Use unity 4.04 with exchange 2003 as mailstore... we have Unified Messaging but will soon start using the exchange server, as well as we're currently on groupwise to email... Yes, then it will be true Unified Messaging. The problem I see in the tests, it's my pager's going even when I get an email... There are a lot of people this is going to bug. Is it possible to have only a pager turn off if this is a voicemail... people will not want their pagers go whenever they receive an e-mail. Help, please!

Your pager triggered rules must include all messages or emails - unit has always supported on message trigger different types/emergency notification devices (not MWI - which is hard coded for types of voicemail only). Check the settings of your device notification pager - chances are that you have something more than the mailbox selected as the trigger.

  • My 2011 MacBook Pro seems ready to go...

Little by little. Glitches and things that are happening to my old man, my dear workhorse MacBook Pro.

    2011-17 "10.6.8

I know that it's on the typical lifecycle of this laptop... and I was looking for what I think would be a good replacement. I thought that I would be able to follow it and in the course of execution, only because I know that my 3rd party apps, although that laughing old... but don't work, won't work with something new. Laugh, but I still use Office for Mac and Illustrator CS2. They do the work I need to do. Brand new laptop... I would never be able to use these applications on so this one as I'd hoped I would hide for only time, using iWorks or whatever it is that comes on a newer version. Put this workhorse in its original box. Then, get a much lighter weight to use for e-mail and simple tasks.

I backed everything up with my Time Machine and 3 t of external storage.

At this point, as you can see. I have all sorts of problems that arise and know it's time...

I read today that the new laptops will not until perhaps in June, when I expected to March.

I don't know if waiting for the new models is really worth and I was wondering what thought the community. I need a laptop to work.

  • Should I buy a MacBook Pro now or wait for the WWDC

    Hello

Well, I want to buy a MacBook Pro (my first one ever). However, I have read on some sites there is a new version of the MacBook Pro this year (at WWDC).

Now I'm totally confused. I want to use a MacBook Pro 15 "(8 Go de RAM et 552 Go SSD) to work on large data / Business Intelligence technologies and programming."

But I don't know if I have to wait for these new features or go ahead and buy this one now. And if these new features will be most useful for what I want to do.

    Thanks in advance.

Apple has specifically discourages discussions on these forums about what and when the new products will be introduced and what changes there may be.

The best advice is, what your needs are and this current model meets the.  If so, buy it, if not, don't buy it.   My observation of past changes in the introduction of new models is that the changes are incremental, not radical.  My primary MBP is a 2011 model (with 16 GB of RAM and an SSD hard drive) and I still do not feel outclassed by the current culture.

    Ciao.

  • How to disable open automatically of iMessage on my MacBook Pro when I open my iPhone messages

    Hello

I've just updated to OSX El Capitan, and every time I receive an iMessage on my iPhone, or simply open the Message app on my iPhone, the e-mail program on my MacBook Pro opens. I want to disable this from happening on my MacBook Pro. I've read countless messages, but no solution matches my problem.

    I took measures include:

1 open the message into the MacBook > Messages > Preferences > accounts > Deactivated and signed my account gmail here. Nothing else is active.

2 mobility of Notifications on my MacBook Pro

3 disabled message forwarding on my iPhone and removed my Gmail address this too

But, it always opens on my MacBook Pro.

    Advice welcome. Thank you.

    Hello melinalw,

I understand the Messages that opens on your MacBook Pro when you receive a message on your iPhone, despite attempts to prevent this behavior. This may be due to having set of transmission of Message text upward on your iPhone. This can be checked in settings > Messages > text Message Forwarding on your iPhone.

On your iPhone, go to settings > Messages > Send and receive. Add a control to both your phone number and email address. Then go to settings > Messages > text Message Forwarding and activate the device or devices that you want to transfer the messages.

  • MacBook Pro with screen Retina or normal MacBook Pro?

HI, I want to buy a MacBook Pro, but I don't know what we should I buy, the retina or normal? I look at the series and videos from YouTube and I want to edit videos and my pictures if I buy one, so I thought that the retina it would be better for me, but it is too expensive. I want it with 512 ir 500g and but the MacBook Pro with retinal display costs $700 more. Also, I watched some YouTube videos that compared the MacBook Pro with Retina display vs the regular MacBook Pro. And the MacBook pro with the Retina display is faster. is there too much difference between the normal pro and the macbook with the Retina display? And there too much difference on the screen?

If you have a normal MacBook Pro or a MacBook Pro with retina Display, please tell me your experience with it. Also tell me what I should buy.

    Thank you

Your best option is to go to a store (Apple or reseller) and compare screens side by side.  Only then can you make an informed decision.

The main differences between the two models is that the retina has no DVD player and cannot have put RAM at day after purchase and the PCIe SSD updated at great expense (which will also void any warranty).

The non-retine can have the RAM has increased to a maximum 16 GB at a later date and may have installed later hard/SSD drives of up to 2 TB of capacity.

  • 5.4 Lightroom on iMac and MacBook Pro

I have been using Lightroom on my iMac (OS X 10.7.5) with an external 4 TB drive plugged with my Lightroom Catalog and pictures stored on it. I just bought a MacBook Pro (OS X 10.9.2) and loaded my second copy of Lightroom on it.

I want to use my MacBook Pro when I travel to download the RAW files, edit and post pictures online etc. I don't have access to my catalog any when they travel. On my return, I want to have all my edited photos on my home iMac. They need not be kept on the laptop after that.

My external hard drive is too big to travel with (heavier than the laptop), but I have a smaller, that I can use for the trip. I wanted to just keep a catalog at home, but not sure of the most effective way to achieve. Any help appreciated gratefully.

You can export your images on the MBP of catalogue (file > Export catalogue) and import the catalog into your catalog master iMac. File > import from another catalog.
