Satellite Pro P100 - unable to access the LAN
This is the first time I want to use the LAN outlet. Where plug the LAN cable and the activation of the network connection are no response at all (light indicators do not work). Test the card gives a good result. I reinstalled the success of whithout pilot.
What is a configuration problem?
I use WINDOWS XP. Thank you.
Hello
Do you have a message on the limited connectivity from Windows?
What is card LAN recognized correctly in Device Manager?
You may need to check the configuration. You use DHCP or a static IP address? You should try it with static IP addresses.
In addition, go to the command line (cmd) and type ipconfig / renew. What happens exactly?

Satellite Pro P100 - unable to connect to Internet via LAN
I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro P100. Model no SPSA4A-005002
I used my recovery disc and erased from my computer, because of a virus and now I can't connect to internet via cable but my wireless internet works perfectly.
Its quite dead there is no lights on the back of the laptop where I plug in the cable.Hello
Your network card is properly recognized in Device Manager?
In your case, I would try to update the LAN driver. You can get the latest version here:
http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > download driversIn addition, you check the version of the BIOS. The most recent version must be installed and load default settings here.
In the worst case, it s only a hardware problem and must exchange the motherboard together :(

Satellite Pro A300 - how to access the installation of Vista hidden partition?
AHOY!
I have a Satellite Pro A300 PSAGDA 2000R
It had Windows Vista installed when I got it, but after a while, had to reformat, so I did, (I want to reformat my computer every 6-12 months on average), it came only with XP disks even if he got a serial number for Vista on the underside of the laptop so I installed XP. That was about 2-3 reformats there now.
However, so that finding drivers I've seen mention of a hidden partition to reinstall Vista (which I hope it is 64-bit) and tried to do this several times but unfortunately it does not work, I guess that maybe what XP installation I can accidentally deleted or something? (Thought they had in fact on some solid state memory which could not be written more or something.)
* Is there a way I can access it, take another that won't cost a ridiculous amount (for example download) or a nice person enough to create an image to download on a site or something that I can download file sharing? *
I have also a spare copy of Vista (and a bit of XP) on the drive, none of them will work?
+ Another thing which I am interested in is can I get any of the preview of Windows 8 OS that will run on this laptop? Apparently it improved performance on Vista and W7 would be convenient for running on a laptop, and I have also heard say it is possible to upgrade to the full version of the preview or W7 for a minimal cost and would probably be much cheaper than other methods if possible. +
And I'm actually quite handy with computers, so don't be afraid to throw big words at me,
(Tried the methods found on the manual on page 3-8 ([link: http://www.mytoshiba.com.au/support/computers/satellite/pro/a300/psagda-02000r/download?os=22]).)
I have European A300 and I believe that the principle on the rest of the same models.
A300 was offered with Vista preinstalled but without recovery disc Vista. Image that contains the operating system, drivers, tools and utilities for recovery has been saved on the HARD drive and with book factory owner was able to begin the installation of HARD drive recovery. It works with the factory only settings. With preinstalled Toshiba laptop recovery disk creator owners have been able to create the recovery disk that can be used if the disk HARD recovery doesn't work anymore.
If you don t have access to this image saved on HARD drive recovery, you must use the recovery disc. If you don t have the disc that you have a problem. Recovery image can not be downloaded. All you can download are the unique rivers, tools and utilities that you can use if you install a clean version of the OS (operating system).
On the European models, recovery image was recorded on the second partition of HARD drive in the folder called HDDrecovery.Anyway, A300 works with Win7 32 bit. I installed it on my machine and I m very happy with it.
> Another thing which I am interested in is can I get any of the preview of Windows 8 OS that will run on this laptop?
I put t know who should give you this overview, but the fact is that you get it from Toshiba. You should check if you can get it in another way. -
Satellite Pro P100 can not get the screen to work again
If someone could point me in the right direction, I would be very grateful!
I bought a monitor to use when I am in the office (it's a LG Flatron L225WT), installed the software that came with it and plugged. Nothing seemed to happen, then in Toshiba HWSetup, I changed my power on the screen 'LCD + Analog RGB'.
To cut a long story short, the external screen works perfectly now, but I cannot access the internal screen, even after changing the power supply on the display to 'Automatic Selection '. The Fn + F5 key does not appear to have any effect at all.
I must have inadvertently done something to mess up the computer. Can anyone suggest how I could reset it back?
TIA to all who can help you!
-Laurence
I put t know what laptop you have and don t know what OS you are using, but it seems that you have managed to set the external monitor as the main screen.
You should change in display properties (right click on desktop-> properties)Somewhere in the settings, you should try to score the internal display (1) and should mark use this device as the primary monitor
You won't find any similar settings or this will not help then set the operating system to the point of time at the beginning. In this case all settings will be reset!

Hello
My Satellite Pro P100 began to show the error "Failed to read handle." at startup. I found a related post and removed from the area of registry Toshibarc.exe control startup programs. This does not prevent the pop-up dialog box, but now my remote does not work.
Does anyone know if toshibarc.exe must run for the remote control work? And if so, how do I fix the error in the program (rather than simply removing from the register). Could this be a hardware problem?
If I try to manually run the C:\WINDOWS\SMSC\CIRHID\V1_0_0000_0\toshibarc.exe, I get the same popup "Impossible to get read handle.".
Thanks for any help or ideas
SteveAfter a long period of investigation in the internet and visit many Web sites, I discovered that the ToshibaRC.exe file belongs to the Remote Application from Toshiba. It seems that the file is required to use the remote on the laptop...
But I can't give you a reason why it causes an error.I found this similar thread in the forum

Vista 64 bit need drivers for Satellite Pro P100
Hello
I have a question about the drivers for the 64 bit version of Vista. I have a portable Satellite Pro P100 and search in the catalogue of drivers and find only an update of the BIOS for 64-bit systems.
But where can I find the hardware drivers for the 64-bit versions?Concerning
Mischa
Toshiba doesn t offer drivers for Vista 64 bit and this model, so you must search on external websites for drivers.
It is the only way to get the drivers:For example:
http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/Bluetooth/
http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/Good luck!

Can I increase the memory on my old Satellite Pro P100?
I have a Satellite Pro P100 (P6PA4E-002001EN) with only 512 MB of memory and the desire to know if it can be increased and if so what memory should I buy and it is easy to open the machine and adapt?
Hello
You can increase the memory on this laptop amazing plu of 4 GB of RAM.
RAM modules compatible that you can use to upgrade:
PA3511U - 1 M 51 (Kit of memory 512 MB DDR2-667)
PA3512U-1M1G (memory 1 GB DDR2-667 Kit)
PA3513U-1M2G (memory 2 GB DDR2-667 Kit)Check the underside of your laptop and there should be probably set with a cover of Ram screw. Remove it and you will have access to the memory locations.

Satellite Pro P100: losing picture on external monitor when using the DVI - D connection
Guys,
I have a Samsung SyncMaster 940MW LCD TV and a Satellite Pro P100 (Geforce Go 7600), recently I bought a DVI - D cable to link them together.
Now the problem is that when I connected to 1400 x 900 LCD TV screen goes to a black screen several times (usually when there is a lot of activity or I'm resizing windows to the maximum to the minimum).
Now, I would have thought it would be the LCD TV doesn't do not signal or refresh rate however I connected using a VGA cable and its fine - no problem just no matter how much I minimize my windows or put a lot of activity on the screen. To complicate matters even more, when I run the screens in "Dual screen" mode instead of "Clone" if I put one of them 1400 x 900 to 59hz in 16 bit it works fine...?
Can someone help please that it made my head that I can't understand what the hell is the cause!
I've included a list below all the different resolutions / screen modes I tried it and the result.
Thanks for your time & help.

Craig.

I hope that you have enabled user s manual supplied with your device. On page 148, you will find a very interesting picture on the supported display resolution.
I have to be honest with you and say that I am no expert DVI because my LCD doesn't have this port, just HDMI but if I have understood you as soon as you have problem with a resolution of 1440 x 900 only. This resolution is not listed as supported, and I presume that it is not unusual to have a problem.
Sorry, but I think that you should use maximum supported only resolution 1280 x 1024.

Satellite Pro P100: The extended warranty is not available?
Hi, just about to buy a Satellite Pro P100, but when we look at the warranty I don't see this pattern on the list machines covered by the extended warranty available at Toshiba.
Any ideas?
It makes me a little nervous if Toshiba does not cover this model for extended warranty.

Did you mean Satellite Pro P100 or Satellite P100-xxx?
I asked it because I don t find any laptops Satellite Pro P100 on the Toshiba site. Only Satellite P100-xxx are available and these books are very new. Maybe you checked the list of bad guaranteed?PS: I can t believe that the extended warranty is not available on this device.
