Downgrade to windows 7 64 bit

Greetings to all!

As I am new to the forum, I wish everyone a pleasant and positive trip through our technology of Fallout!

Woot Woot!

The question to $ 64,000 on my mind and I know that most of the people: how we properly 8.1 windows downgrade back to windows 7?   Most of us have Pavillion G6 with AMD A8 (or similar) and were on the fringe of losing our minds with W8 and W8.1.

Is there a site on HP that can say yes or no for the downgrade as pilots for the two operating systems can be different?

Or is it rather the proverbial throwing dice and I hope it works all OK?

Thanks for the everyone entry, time and attention.

Hi raptor1,

My previous post has the links you have requested. Satrt8 has a free trial version of 30 days and the classic interface is a gift.

MS could have easily encoded in an optional parameter in the operating system to implement the classic or modern user interface.  The old question of "MS you can show me a profitable reason to spend?" remains unanswered.

  • Slow download speed after downgrading to Windows 7 64 bit

    Hi all!

I'm new here! My first laptop is a Toshiba Satellite since 2003. Since then, I got one couple of others.
Now I bought a new: Satellite P70-A-11V, a portable professional high-end computer, which came with Windows 8, which I upgraded to 8.1.

Unfortunately, the degraded system so bad that all pendrives made plant. I have connected my Toshiba camcorder, and it also crashed the laptop. The search indexing was not working outside the C: drive. The pointer of an optical mouse has started to freeze for seconds on the screen.

This last problem, which I think was due to the low power USB ports. So, I really had no choice after 2 restorations system total and installed Windows 7 Enterprise x 64 SP1. The operating system seems ok, but I always have problems, and one of them is that my download speed is very low, as well with LAN cable or wireless. I can't tell how is download speed.

My internet provider provides 100 MB/s internet access via optical cable. I test on Speedtest.net and normally, it gives a range of 50 to 80 Mbps actual download speed. Then, if I check the speed of the connection Wireless wireless connection status, I experience a maximum of 130 MB/s, which is constant. Large.
Yet, no download occurs at a speed of wretched 400 to 500 kbit/s, as if it was a dial-up connection. This problem was not present before.

I tried to change several settings according to the forums, but nothing helped. I disabled the firewall and stimulated wireless (duplex 100 MB) and also tried through LAN cable. The rated speed is great, but apparently the slowness problem is inside the laptop, not outside. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated!

I checked the Toshiba download page and your laptop is fully supported for Win7 64 bit. Drivers LAN and WLAN are available also so I hope that you have installed all the drivers, tools, and utilities including LAN and WLAN. Can you confirm this?

  • 8 64-bit downgrade from windows 7 32-bit Windows, how do I disable UEFI and GPT

I brought a new laptop preinstalled Windows 8. After 2 days, I decide it downgrade to my previous windows 7. I have over 2 TB of HDD, so I do not think that UEFI and GPT is good for me. I use Diskpart to convert GPT on the MBR. However, I received a warning message when I installed Windows 7, it says "Setup could not create a new partition system.

Also, I went into the BIOS, it seemed to me that I could not disable UEFI. Maybe I could find a few early versions for a test.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    LW

You will need to go to your bios settings disable secure boot and also change it to mode inherited from wood. also select USB and CD boot options
Then when your computer starts on the button of start menu (usually f12) and select your operating system support is on
Follow these instructions on activation of your downgrade after installation

    Hello:

Download and install the AMD chipset drivers and restart.  You want the first file on the Web page.

    http://support.AMD.com/en-us/download/chipset?OS=Windows%207%20-%2064

If for any reason any USB 3 drivers still don't get installed, then download and install these drivers and reboot.

  • Try to upgrade to Windows 7 64 bit

After upgrading to Vista Home 32 bit to Windows 7 Home 64 Bit for a test with my software:

It will be possible to downgrade to Windows 7 32 Bit or to install with this updated DVD?

Or will I have to get back to Vista 32 Bit and upgrade to Win 7 32 bit?

    Thanks for the tips

    Hello

To be honest I n don't know what you mean exactly.

You can only change Vista 32 bit to Windows 7 32 bit. An upgrade from 32 bit to 64 bit OS is not possible! Therefore, you must make a clean and new installation.

If you want to go back to Vista, you must use the Toshiba Recovery disk or disk Microsoft Vista.

  • Satellite T230 - Downgrade Windows 7 64 bit to 32 bit

    Hello

Can you please help. Just a week before I bought the Toshiba Satellite T230-10j. The laptop comes with Windows 7 64-bit edition. It has the recovery partition and no other support provided with the same. Is it possible to downgrade from 64-bit to 32-bit OS. If so can someone please provide the *.wim image. There are a many applications doesnot support 64 - bit os and the only way for me would be the Windows 7 32 bit.

Can someone guide me how to proceed further with this.

    Kind regards

    Hi mate

As much as I know the laptop won't was delivered with any disk recovery because you could create a clean recovery disc image using the Toshiba Recovery creator software that was preinstalled on your laptop.

In addition if you want to downgrade the Win 7 64 bit to 32 bit then you will need to purchase the 32 bit version.

    Welcome them

  • Downgrade from Windows 7 64 for XP 64 bit for the Presario Compaq CQ61 - 319WM VM371UA

    HI - lets get right:

You have now the Compaq Presario CQ61-319WM in front of you is preloaded with Win7, but you want to downgrade to your copy of XP64bit.

    Your system is:

AMD Athlon II M300 64-bit multiprocessor Dual Core @ 2 GHz

    RS780/RS880 (M)<- your="" northbridge="">
    ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200 (3400 variant?)<- your="">
    SB750<- southbridge="">

1 unit comes with a 250 GB HARD drive. Replace it with another SATA HDD for your copy of xp64 bit before powering it, by registering and activating, seeing that this solution is not yet complete, saving your software Windows 7 preinstalled in this way.

NOTE: Do not install Windows XP 64 - bit Edition on your current 250GB Win7. If you did get the Compaq CD to restore.

Download nLite from 2 a. nLiteOS.com to integrate SATA drivers (called: "Slipstream") inside your Windows CD otherwise: BSOD. (recommended method)

    -or-

2B. After changing BIOS to recognize the floppy USB download drive drivers SATA on diskette and the XP CD, press F6 to manually load these drivers SATA AHCI floppy.

    3. use your Slipstreamed CD and let XP starts normally (no key of F)

    -Si Windows successfully installed continue-

    4. now that XP64 bit runs the first thing that you want to install the .NET Framework 3.0 would be.

    5. install Visual C++ redistributable (free version)

6 install the network driver. See below

NOTE: 8102 & 8103 pilots would most likely work, not 8139 family.

On our test unit CQ61 we currently have ALL but TWO missing drivers. the Audio driver and the video!

After consultation with AMD, IDT and Insyde each has decided that this problem is with Compaq "Softpaqs Engineering Team", in the meantime a viable solution. Support for Compaq of level 2 has been unable to help in this case, however, agreed to intensify this concern to the "level 3" (genius).

"Diversity is the key to break the monotony" Obviously, still a challenge for the Presario team in this area.

Our testing shows that the problem exists in the firmware of the cards mothers; Perhaps the BIOS. Insyde (SSII BIOS) indicated that HP/Compaq has the "sp?.» solution "exe" and refused further assistance because of HP/Compaq contracts. "

So why Compaq insist on locking/force their users in Windows 7, without other Windows based operating system options for this model and others who are currently in production? We're going to investigate.

Currently, Windows XP 64-bit Edition is still being supported by Microsoft after January 10, 2010. So why not HP?

    Finally.

Here we have the more stable driver, for most official, complete the value for the model CQ61 running XP64 (and possibly XP as well). It concerns all the drivers listed below:

    Driver SATA AHCI-

    Bus - SM

    -Realtek Ethernet Controller

-ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200 video driver

    Driver Modem Agere-

    -Atheros WiFi driver

Use this forum as the timestamp.

There were too many sources to the list for the updated driver, so a full driver package was created in place to keep things simple, without all the headaches of doing it yourself.

This package should work on XP 64-bit operating systems based and is released as is. The instructions are inside each directory.

NOTE: After downloading Please run the 1st prerequisites folder, then all other folders depending on numbers starting with 1 ( 0 record is for your slipstream). Here are the details of the file:

    Can I downgrade Windows 8 64-bit for Windows 7 64-bit?

And also my drivers continue to operate?

I have only one installation of Windows 7 disk and want to make sure that I could use it incase if my computer goes down / gets corrupted / ect. Since I formatted acccidently my OEM drive when I take away a lot of partitions, I did.

    My computer:

    Model: HP 2000 Notebook PC

    Model No.: C2N26UA #ABA

    OS: 8 64-bit Windows

Additional info: my computer came with Windows 8 64-bit pre-installed.

    Hello:

First of all, make your game of W8 recovery discs before proceeding.

All the W7 x 64 drivers of this Associates model should work on yours.

    http://h20000.www2.HP.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodNameId=5275377&prodTypeId=321957&prodSeriesId=5259212&swLang=13&TaskID=135&swEnvOID=4063#11360

The driver is missing (and is for any laptop AMD) and it's the chipset driver that installs the SMBus Controller and the USB 3.0 controller.

You should download and install this driver first and then restart. First download listed is what you need.

Then install the graphics driver and restart, then install the audio driver and restarted.

If computers were purchased with Microsoft's Downgrade rights, they would be shipped with Windows 7 Pro 64 bit installed in the factory and restore HP 8/8.1 Pro 64-bit Windows included media. You will need create the restoration of Windows 7 Pro 64 - bit from at least one of these computers support.

If computers ship with Windows 7 Pro 64-bit installed or if you have media to restore Windows 7 Pro 64-bit computers, you may be able to use the below to install Windows 7 Pro 32-bit.

    (1) download and unzip ABR Beta with Windows 7 Support. This is the homepage of ABR for Windows Vista. Please follow the section "How to use" for information and instructions on how to use it. These steps also apply to Windows 7. Perform the 'activation' on multiple computers backup and back up the certificate and the key has been recovered in separate places for comparison. (He draws the original key HP preinstalled OEM factory and certificate from your factory installed OS OEM) Compare the keys and certificates for each computer, they are all the same? Please report back with your findings.

    (2) download and use RWEverything to determine the version of the OA/SLP/SLIC in BIOS of the computer. See this page of Web MyDitigalLife titled "How to check or verify PC motherboard BIOS SLIC Version is SLP OA 2.0 or 2.1 for OEM Activation" for more information on how to use and decipher the information. (Windows 8 use OA 3.0 and this is where the problem can happen) Please report back with your findings.

    (3) If you do not already have a copy, download your version (the version that was preinstalled on your HP computer) Windows 7 from Official Windows 7 SP1 ISO from Digital River.

    (4) install Windows 7 Pro 32 bit, following all prompts as needed. Don't let not Windows try to scoped. Run ABR 'restoration of activation' to 'install' the previously saved until the product key and the certificate. Make sure that Windows is activated, repeat "restoration of activation" until Windows 7 is activated. (It "installs" pre-installed HP OEM factory original key and certificate from your factory installed OS to your new installation of Windows. This HP OEM key and the OEM HP certificate, as well as the BIOS is what allows your computer to HP be factory preactivated.)

    (5) install all drivers from the computer. These can be found on the support page HP for your computer or you can find the drivers on the sites of manufacturers of component various... Intel, NVidia, AMD/ATI, Ralink, Realtek, etc..

  • Downgrade to Windows XP Pro Sp2, x 86 Vista Home Premium 64-bit

I tried, but I have not simply can't work with Windows Vista. I have to downgrade to Windows XP.

I have a new laptop HP HDX X18t with a Core 2 Duo T9600 2.80 GHz processor (with the last correspondent chipset Intel?)
    4 GB ram ddr3
    Hewlett-Packard Bios F.20, 05/01/2008
    SM Bios version 2.4
Hardware Abstraction Layer version = "6.0.6002.18005".

It has the configuration of the hard drive dual option factory. I have removed the C: plant and it will save way later. I then moved
the 2nd hard drive to the place where the used to be C:. Set startup to boot from the dvd drive for a cool XP with sp2 install.
This laptop keeps me to install Windows XP, XP sp2, XP with sp3, XP even with Vista Theme.
I have the factory supplied Vista Home Premium 64-bit dvd disc, and Yes, this will install flawlessly from start to finish
without ANY problem at all. Hard drives are sata2. I tried to install XP with versions with special sata drivers
included in the installation cd. No go. Even made several versions of XP sp2 with "simplified" in sata drivers
the installation cd. Same thing. No go. (no go = blue screen of death)

Here is the error message (blue screen of death) which continues to appear on all attempts of my XP installs.

A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to avoid damage
    on your computer.

If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen,
Restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow
    the following steps:

Check for viruses on your computer. Remove any newly installed
hard drives or hard drive controllers. Check your hard drive
to make sure that it is correctly configured and completed.
Run CHKDSK /F to check the alteration of the hard drive, then
    Restart your computer.

    Technical information:

Well, at least I know the hard drive is properly configured and completed, cause the Vista
OS settle easily and quickly with no problems. 64 and 32-bit
any Vista os will install very easily and quickly on this laptop.
I really don't want or intend to play with the bios, cause I could finish with a fried motherboard.
I will listen to any solution/suggestion of someone who can help me with installing XP.
    Thank you in advance.

    YES.  He does eventually.

I managed to install Windows XP Professional with SP2

and pilots simplified sata attached on the installation disc.

I used nLite correctly before, reson for repeated failures

with the installation of XP.  Now working on pilots.

Thank you VERY, VERY MUCH for the help.  You the man.

  • Pro, All in One 3520 - Downgrade Windows 7 64 bit to 32 bit

    Hi all

I have a Pro all in one desktop PC 3520 with Windows 7 64 bit pre-installed, for some reason, I think to downgrade the os to the 32-bit version.

Is it supported? Need a new Windows license (32-bit version) to reinstall the OS?

Thank you for you in advance for your support.

    Stefano

    To answer your questions

    (1) is it supported? -from this page , it appears that 32-bit is not

    (2) it is necessary a new Windows license (32-bit version) to reinstall the OS? -No, the license key will work with both versions.

I'm really curious why it's coming.  A Windows operating system, pre-installed, work goes to the function.  What is proposed may not work, so why mess with it?

  • I'm looking for a Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium downgrade my 10 Windows on my computer hp pavilion dv6 laptop?

    Help.

I have this hp pavilion dv6 bought in 2012 in Singapore. This laptop came with a pre-installed windows 7 Home premium 64-bit. Earlier this year, I got the free update of Windows 10 and I was happily obliged to update my windows 7 to windows 10.

Few things I know, updates do not automatically at level my other drivers and software that was running smoothly in my laptop before upgrading. That was include my external hard drive I used to back up all my files once a month. My external hard drive has been iomega eGo 2 TB of capacity.

To cut the story short, I now want to downgrade to Windows 7 Home premium 64-bit, one I had before, as many of my software are more able to run smoothly, and my hard drive with all my important data is now inaccessible, whenever I plugged the HDD in my pc.

I always kept my original product key for windows, but I can't find a reliable source where I can download it again and reinstall it to replace the windows 10 today running on my laptop.

Can someone help me with this?

    Thank you.

    David.
