Download of Adobe products

Hi all. Recently got an Asus K55A laptop. Have tried all day install Adobe Reader and Flash Player, nothing helps. They simply won't install - no error message. But here's a strange thing: the Adobe install Helper refuses to close and when I hit the 'X', Google opens a tab says "Firetab.org" and the page is in German! Each time, he goes to 'conlance was!

Having read a lot of posts on various Web sites on installation problems. Operating system is Win 7 Professional, 64-bit, with IE11.

Someone at - it a solution? At the end of the my mind...

Thanks for any info.

Chris

SUCCESS! I did a lot of things that did not work. I went to the links you sent and then found my way using Adobe. Here's the url: http://helpx.Adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-windows.html.

So from there, I ended up choosing install Flash Player for Internet Explorer ActiveX on the help page.

In order, I went to Adobe.com, then entered the search bar: installation problem with flash player, and then clicked on Installation problems Flash Player Windows (url above), then scrolled down (after trying a few other articles) below the number 7, "always problems?" and click on Flash Player for Internet Explorer - ActiveX.

Ta Da! We are in business!

Hope this info helps others... And thanks for working with me, Cmdr. Shawn!
