• Satellite L - should I download updates from Toshiba?

  Hello.

  I ve been said on this forum that I should t download anything, unless I really have to, but what happens when Toshiba tells me to update some things probably I m supposed to?

  Is it fair to Toshiba tempro I with if I need all alerts or anything else lets you know that you need to update?
  Is there something I need to do to keep my laptop also finely resolved as possible as I t understand much so be gentle with me please.

  You should not install updates from Toshiba. For example, I install only the updates from Toshiba if it of necessary or I have a problem with the laptop but if everything works perfect why should I install an update?

  Only updates, you should have Microsoft updates, because they fix security issues. It's pretty easy because you just start the Windows Update and then the updates will be downloaded and installed automatically.

• Why can not download updates from Microsoft?

  I have a laptop that is running Windows Vista and I was not able to install updates from Microsoft for a long time.   I added the updates one at a time and then restarted each time.  Between each update, I also tested the scanning interface.  At the time where all updates have been added to the scan function still worked.  My guess is that the order of installation, or (more likely) the obligation to reboot between updates made the difference.  I still have my wife updated so will update this when I do the update.  Either way, I remember when I went from XP to Win7 in 2010 I had the same error, but that has been resolved by the HP driver updates.
