Download Vista
I lost my cd of vista and I want to format my pc.is it nowhere here to download using my serial number?
and where can I find my serial number? (found)
No, there are no available legal downoad. I suggest you to contact the manufacturer and see if they will sell you a set of recovery disks (with the same operating system you were using and for which you have the product key). Note You must split of product key 25 digits in 5 sets of alphanumberic numbers separated by dashes - not a serial number which will not help you reactivate.
Other than that, try to borrow a full Installation DVD Vista genuine of the same size of the bit of anyone. They contain all versions of Vista, can be used to install Vista with your own product key and can be copied, so you can keep a DVD in case you need it again.
I hope this helps.
Good luck!

I'll be able to download vista form micro soft Web site using my old vista license key please? would appreciate, if anyone can help me with this.
Hello
There are several methods to reinstall Vista.
There is no Windows Vista downloads available from Microsoft.
You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.
They should do this for a small fee.
To reinstall Vista using their recovery disk/s, you start from the 1st recovery disk they provide and follow the manufacturer's instructions to reinstall:
You need to change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order:
How to change the Boot order in BIOS:
http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/SS/bootorderchange.htm
"How to replace Microsoft software or hardware, order service packs and replace product manuals.
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/326246
That you have installed Windows 7, I don't think not that it would be always available.
And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista on how you purchased your computer.
The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)
Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.
Ask them to the proper key sequence.
You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.
Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.
And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/117366-clean-install-full-version-Vista.html
And once the operating system is installed, go to your computer manufacturer's website and get the latest drivers for your particular model or laptop computer.
And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.

Can I download Vista Home Premium somewhere and use the product key I have now?
Original title: ACER GRRRRR! Can I download Vista Home Premium somewhere and use the product key I have now?
I need to reformat my laptop Acer Aspire 5520, but Acer WON'T provide me with the disks required to do... so my question is this; How can I reformat without having to buy a new drive for Windows Vista? I went to the site of the Acers and downloaded all the drivers, applications, and the bios, but I can't find anywhere on Windows. Can anyone help?
Thank you in advance for your help!Hello
It s no vista for free and legally download
with an acer you never drives with him press Alt + F10 when you see the Acer start at startup screen
who should begin the process of recovery back to factory settings
Acer has do provide you with a way to reinstall vista, either way or a recovery (Alt + F10) on your disk partition hard or using recovery discs
and read this:
or borrow a vista microsoft dvd; not a HP, Acer recovery disk etc
Make sure that you borrow the correct 32-bit or 64-bit microsoft dvd to your computer
they contain all versions of vista
This is the product key that determines which version of vista is installed

I upgarded to windows 7 and wrote 7 I have a code of activation but not CD where can I download vista (I need for the hardware support)
How to get Vista recovery Media and/or to use the Vista recovery Partition on your computer.
There is no Vista free download legal available.
Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.
Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.
In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.
See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.
Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...
Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.
You can also make recovery disk/s since the Partition of recovery in case of hard drive failure or System Crash, when you are in service again.
They will tell you how to do this.
Every computer manufacturer has their way of doing recovery disk/s.
Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
The product key determines which version of Vista is installed. There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.
If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):
Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

New satellite does not download Vista update - error Code 80070002
Hello
I bought a new laptop Equium PC World of and when passed as is the norm, the operating system (Vista) try to download updates from Microsoft.
However, I'm struggling with what he stuck after a number of successful downloads. Now when I go to "Windows Update", I get the error found error Code 80070002.
Can anyone help with this? Why knows what the problem is here.
Try to roll back OS to an earlier time using System Restore tool and try again. To be honest, you must disable automatic updates and prior to the update, you should check the list of available updates and install the correct updates that can be useful. That means installation Important or recommended updates. All the optional updates as some driver updates, you must disable. -
Where can I download Vista for my Equium A100-337 utilities
OK, I bought a new laptop last week a satellite A100-337, everything works well, but because that since I already had vista ultimate and some alphas, I tried to install allongside vista I had to reformat.
So ive just got up and run again, but ive lost all toshiba utilities and drivers for the controller audio touchpad and wlan etc.
Can someone tell me where I can download?
Hello
Equium A100-337 is a form of unit PSAAQE series. Am I wrong? The serial number, which you will find at the bottom of the unit.
On the official European site of Toshiba, unfortunately, I have not found this series.
http://PC-support.Toshiba-Europe.com/Vista/You will wait a bit for compatible Vista drivers or you try to install other series A100 only Vista drivers.
You could also test drivers from the Satellite A100 because laptops are very similar -
Impossible to download Vista SP2, "Unknown Publisher".
I have Vista SP1. Could someone help me please? I've been struggling with my phone for 3 weeks now. I restored to factory settings and the first thing tried to manually download SP2 from the Microsoft site. At the end of the download, I get this message:
"The file has been blocked because it doesn't have a valid digital signature." Unknown Publisher
If I save it, and then try to open it by 'Run as administrator', I find myself with ' Data is not valid.
Before you try to download it I updated Windows updates "check updates but let me choose whether to download and install them." There are 1 account, I am the administrator and there is no password set.Open a free support incident.
Personal data backup (which none should be considered 100% reliable at this point) then format the HARD disk and do a clean install of Windows. Please note that a repair installation (upgrade AKA on-site) won't fix this!

Once installed the clean, you will have the equivalent of a "new computer" in order to take care of everything on the next page before connecting the machine to the internet or a local network (i.e. other computers) and before using a USB or SD card that is not brand new, or has not been freshly formattedotherwise:
4 steps to help protect your new computer before going online
http://www.Microsoft.com/security/pypc.aspxNB: No matter what Norton or McAfee free trial which is preinstalled on the computer when you bought will be reinstalled (but invalid) when Windows is reinstalled. You MUST uninstall the trial for free and download/run the removal tool before installing updates, Windows Service Packs, or updates IE and before installing your new anti-virus application.
Norton Removal Tool
FTP://ftp.Symantec.com/public/english_us_canada/removal_tools/Norton_Removal_Tool.exeMcAfee Consumer product removal tool
http://download.McAfee.com/Products/Licensed/cust_support_patches/MCPR.exeNB: There are updates prerequisite that MUST be installed before you can install the SP2 (or SP1). I wouldn't recommend trying to install Vista Service Pack, unless and until it is offered by Windows Update.
If these procedures look too complex - and there is no shame in admitting this isn't your cup of tea - take the machine to a local, good reputation and stand-alone computer (that is, not BigBoxStoreUSA or Geek Squad) repair facility.
Good luck!
