    Restore point:

Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:

Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

Using the automatic update all loaded successfully. Service pack 1 has been installed successfully, but now everytime I open a 1.9 MB patch wants to install update checker, it has produced 12 times now after each one told me its success.

I need to install SP2, but it cannot find the SP1, I can try?

    Hello

Click Start > right click on computer > left click on properties > see if you have Vista 32 bit or Vista 64-bit installed.

It will also tell you what Service Pack you have installed. If necessary.

Then, choose the download of 'bit' OK to use to install Service Packs, first of all the installation of SP1.

    Vista SP1 32-bit (x 86): http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30

I get a screen indicating the loading files Windows that changes eventually Windows is loading files with a status bar, then the typical with a status bar Microsoft company as if Windows loads. After that, I have a black screen with a mouse. Nothing else happens. Because it's a netbook, I don't have a disk drive, and I never remember getting one any boot disk. I don't have an external drive anyway, if the disc would be useless. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

  • Vista SP1 does not update problems and System Restore returns a message "system restore was not entirely successful. File system and the setting of your computer has not changed"with the error code (0x80071AA7)

    0rignal title: Vista SP1 didn't update problem

So, recently, I was on my computer of gf and noticed she had some updates, it could use his computer which included the SP1 update.  So I went through the process trying to update his computer and he has been a disaster and have had many problems and seems to have tried everything.  It has a Dell inspiron 1525 and has no CD and no key for its program of Vista.  I burned a Vista recovery disk and tried troubleshooting by using that, but have not had much luck.  When I use the Startup Repair tool there is no nothing.  So I tried to use the restore of the system with the Description of "install: Windows Vista Service Pack 1.  He had a restore point saved just before I tried to update to SP1.  Whenever I chose this method, it's but the whole process then in the end it says:

"System restore was not entirely successful.  File system and the setting of your computer have not changed. "

then he begins to list the details with the error code (0x80071AA7) and then gives me the option to close or 'Run System Restore"once again that is an endless loop, because I just end up with the same error each time.  If anyone has had this problem and bring myself through it.  I don't want to reinstall windows because it seems simply ridiculous and plus that she a lot of pictures on his computer and I want to get rid of those.

    Hello

Follow the steps and check if the problem persists.

    Step 1:

I suspect that your security program may be responsible for this. I would suggest you temporarily disable all security software and try the system restore.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/turn-Windows-Firewall-on-or-off

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/disable-antivirus-software

Note : Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats.  In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    Step 2:

As for installing updates is concerned, I you should install them after you put your computer in aclean boot State. There could be a third-party software in conflict with updates. Clean boot helps eliminate these conflicts.

Note: Restart your machine as usual by following step 7.

  • Windows defender does not load and cannot download Adobe flash player

I think I have a security problem with windows defender, because it does not load. In addition, a file I have download must have the permissions of the administrator to continue, which was also changed and I had checked him to ask permission. For this reason, I can't download adobe reader. It has an error that keeps coming back whenever I try to download it, and after I executed the file, he's just in a display type of backup file, where it was downloaded, but it will not work on the second stage, when you need the permission of an administrator. • Urgent - Vista does not load

OK, I guess I better start from the beginning. My computer came with Vista and I installed Xp with it only to remove it later. Once I took it off I tried to delete the windows startup menu, because he still had listed XP. I read on a website that I had to remove the c:\boot directory and this should solve the problem. Now vista does not load. It says "missing system32\hal.dll"

  • Vista recognizes the printer but does not load the drivers - error 0x000003eb

Have even tried to load drivers generic, just to see if it works, no chance.  I have on other computers with XP Pro on them and they picked it up, drivers loaded and works very well, but Vista is a different game. Tried plugging USB and gives the same error. Add a printer recognizes it, but it does not load the drivers. I can type the IP address of the printer and use a little from there prints 3 pages of a point, two pages are all kinds of different characters, it waste paper.

Microsoft has looked everywhere and they want me to pay for OS problems out there and I'm not a fact. Program there is the problem that they should back is no Vista how the wrong subject.

Looks like you can have the wrong drivers or not everything you need (drivers, firmware and software) or you do not have the installation in the right order (some require that the printer is connected and on, others require it only and power off, and other required he be attached and powered at a point issue).  I suggest you go to the Xerox support page for your printerhttp://www.office.xerox.com/printers/color-printers/phaser-6250/sprt-enus.html and download everything you need for your printer and your version of Vista.  Then read the articles about how install and configure the printer (unlike many other devices, printers are not intuitive and are picky about the way in which they are installed and will not work if not done according to the instructions). If necessary, that it includes a toll-free technical support number where they may be able to guide you through the process, or at least make sure that you understand the conditions, steps and the order of the steps to do it right yourself.

I checked on the error and this can mean many things for a great many printers - but I could not find any reference to your specific printer to help us.  It is said that it was a mistake than if you have enabled and UAC if off and then back on it would solve the problem - but that sounds not just for me.  You really need to discuss this with HP and I don't know that they will have you place and operate at any time.  I don't believe technical support is costly (there is no mention of this at all) - but if the fact of telephone support, information on the website is free and they have other means of contact which are free (but are not as effective as a telephone conversation).  If you do the research and read relevant articles, I am sure that you can do.  No, Vista makes it as easy as XP, but it can still be done.

    I hope this helps.

  • Why Windows Vista does not load user profile?

When logging on it says unable to load the user profile, but the profile is there when I log in Administrator account, how do I recognize my account that I used to use? Everything worked fine until I went to reboot my Dell Vosstro 220, running Vista SP2 with all latest updates... He went to the Startup Repair, and after awhile, I was dirrected to restart the computer. When it restarted, it went to a temporary user profile named after one it starts normally, but there was 3-0 and temp after the profile. So the desktop icon were almost all gone and when you run a temp profile nothing is saved in it when you use... I've logged on to the administrator account and under C:\computer\users my account, I used to use with 2 temporary accounts. One was exactly like my normal account (mountain), but with temp000 after her. I went to Microsoft Answers and he said to go to regedit and find the profiles under machine\software\microsoft \windows NT\profiles and change the name of the supposely accounts 2 so it would not load the Temp account. I followed the instructions to a T and everything is OK except that now it does not load the Temp file, it just says: windows could not load the user profile. I have to hit Control, Alt, delete to bring up the Task Manager and then type Administrator and password that works very well. When I click on administrator, it displays the screen with all that on the computer. MountainMan used to be there under administrator, but he disappeared. If I go down to users in a subcatigory under computer and users it lists all of the accounts that I should be able to access. All the information is there, it doesn't seem right to see as an account profle to load up. I've always had it set to start on MountainMan account without password. Now it takes forever to load the administrator account. It must also be typed in each time instead of remember accounts. How can I get MountainMan load again? The info is there, but he doesn't seem to know the location more. Even when I type in MountainMan it just says unable to load the user profile. I don't know if typing in the name of the account is the same problem or if I have 2 problems. I appriciate any help to correct this situation. Also just FYI, I deleted temporary files after changing names, in which case they were confusing.
