  So, yesterday I bought After Effects (first time member creative Cloud and it was the only program that I bought so far through CC) and I got the email about the transaction is successful. I downloaded the installer CC, installed and then downloaded the trial version of After Effects, since it was the only option available. However, even if I went through my account and tried a few other things that have been proposed on the forums, I can't seem to get the serial number, so I can finally put the licensed software.   Meriem, there seems to be some disconnect that the host file should solve the problem.

  ERM, did you really buy it? The trial is just that - a fully functional version that does work for 30 days without a serial number. After that you have to buy to continue to use it and then you will get this serial number...

  When you proceed with the installation of the software, it will prompt you to enter the serial number to continue installation.

  If you have already installed the software, then whenever you first run the software, a window would come in indicating the no. of days remaining for the use of the trial as well as a dialog box to enter the serial number to activate.

  You can also launch the application and navigate to the 'Help' menu and select 'enable '. The activation screen came to get the serial number of your part, enter the serial number and the trial is converted to a full version.

  Since version 13 is no longer marketed, I will assume that you are since long TIME 30 days return policy

  You'll have to buy version 14 for your Mac... or install a software emulation to then run your program Windows on a Mac

  Updates are not related to series numbers, so you must have done something compared to try to use an upgrade rather than an update.  Adobe not revise older versions of their software to adapt to the latest hardware/devices.  They create/sell new versions of their software for it.  If you subscribe to the Cloud at some point you shouldn't have a problem with the software becomes obsolete.
