DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION!

Hello.

I read other discussions about this, but unfortunately nobody knows exactly the same problem as me. I can't connect my computer at all! It shows the blue screen of death, then tries to set, then it restarts. Rinse and repeat. I have no idea why it's a loop like that. I tried to boot with a windows repair 8 / reinstall as another thread drive suggested. Still nothing.

I was running a defragmentation of disk at the time that it occurred. I don't think that he finished well (I put that it stops automatically when it was made).

I wish I could give all the specs, but I got it on a whim last year.

iBuyPower

8 GB RAM

500 GB HARD drive

4300 AMD

Raedeon 7770

The motherboard is a Gigabyte.

It's never happened before in my year of owning. Please help and don't forget I can't connect to the computer at all!

All comments are welcomed and appreciated.

For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now click on
Driver update (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right
Click on - uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

    Hello

We have two coherent bug checks:

    DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE (9f)

This bug check indicates that the driver is in an inconsistent or invalid power state.

By default, the fault of the accident is pci.sys which is NOT the real cause. If we run one! IRP on the 4th parameter of the verification of bug:

    1. make sure you have the latest video card drivers. If you are already on the latest graphics card drivers, uninstall and install a version or a few versions behind the last to make sure this isn't a last number one driver. If you have already experienced with the driver of the card later and earlier versions, please try the driver beta for your card.

2 uninstall COMODO as soon as POSSIBLE as it can be in conflict with TrueCrypt.

  • 8 PRO CRASH VICTORY: DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION

Saturday, December 22, 2012 12.05.45 GMT your computer crashes
    crash dump file: C:\Windows\memory.dmp
This was probably caused by the following module: hal.sys (hal! HalSetTimeIncrement + 0x3EFE)
    Bug check code: 0 x 133 (0 x 780, 0x1, 0 x 0 0 x 0)
    Error: DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION
Bug control description: watchdog of the DPC has detected an operation extended to a level IRQL DISPATCH_LEVEL or higher.
This seems to be a typical software driver bug and is not likely to be caused by a hardware problem. This problem may be due to a thermal problem.
A third-party driver has been identified as the likely cause of the system error. It is suggested that you search for an update the following driver: hal.sys.
    Google search: hal.sys DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION

Can you zip the minidump in the C:\Windows\Minidump folder files and (provide link) available via Windows Live SkyDrive or similar site?

The following link has information about the use of Windows Live SkyDrive:

    http://social.technet.Microsoft.com/forums/en-us/w7itproui/thread/4fc10639-02dB-4665-993a-08d865088d65

If you have problems to compress the minidump files copy the minidump files to another location such as a folder on the desktop

In addition, you do not necessarily have compress the minidump files, you can download one at a time.

    Hi guys!

I get the BSOD on my desktop pc and there's a line below saying 'If you want, you can search for DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION', after days of searching around I semi put this down to a driver issue, I wonder how I go on fixing the issue.
I noticed that the drive (on task MGR) runs at 100% until it freezes
The mouse pointer becomes semi does not and if I look at a video of his deformed apears
This problem is really starting to affect me because I'm unable to use my desktop pc!
    Thanks in advance
    Matt!

    Hello

I put the error up to my default graphics card, it seems that the fan broke and it could overheat and cause the bsod! After using my chart internal for a day or two, I decided that this is certainly true!

Now, I bought a new graphics card and I'm now confronted with the text, checking NVRAM any help on this would be greatly appreciated! It seems to stick for more than 20 minutes

    I use one

    ASROCK 775 TWINS MOTHERBOARD

    2 GB ram ddr 2

    450 watt power supply

the graphics card I am using is a gt Gigabyte 630!

    Thanks in advance

    Matt

  • Premiere Pro 2015.3 CC, BSOD, win 10, DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION

Hi - just installed creative cloud, Photoshop and Premier Pro. I got it for first. install goes OK, photoshop works very well, but first BSOD every time with DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION. It has never worked. the machine is Windows 10, recent updates. ASUS P8Z77 - V LX motherboard, Intel processor i7 24 GB of RAM, a 128 GB SSD for C:, D: Velociraptor. generic wifi card. That's all that is in the box. BIOS is reasonably up-to-date, no operational problems of any kind. in the years that I have owned this machine, this is the first and the only BSOD I have seen.

the behavior of specific failure is:

    * from the cloud creative meta-app

    * Click the button OPEN first

    * splash screen displays

    * mouse move slowly in the middle of "blocking detector", after 100 to 500 mS mouse freezes, CAPSLOCK indicator does not work.

    * 5 to 20 seconds later, BSOD, DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION.

I figured that my fairly old graphics, MSI Radeon HD 7700 card or driver was the problem, so I bought and configured a GeForce GTX 950 EGVA. using a 27 "Displayport monitor.

I did RTFM and web research I could before writing. I read audio driver from nvidia, integrated audio system conflicts, etc. my audio device (sole) main is a Native Instruments Komplete Audio 6. all other devices have been disabled in the Windows Device Manager. integrated audio system has been disabled in the UEFI BIOS.

I'm not overclocking, the machine is immaculate inside (eg. No dust bunnies blocking the air), video performance is subjectively good with any application I can think of except the first.

I made a support with Rahul cat, which connected to my computer remotely and was unable to find the problem. ticket 0188157584. That was before I installed the card GTX 950 and disabled all the drivers/audio devices unused.

I'm puzzled. I'm about to ask for my money. any ideas?

problem disappeared. I still don't know why BSOD first with the old Radeon card, but for the new card GTX 950, first load properly, no BSOD, after I removed all the bloatware - NVIDIA PhysX NVIDIA, all these nonsense of 3D games. a quick survey of a it seems that even for the games of the assistance program bloating is not helping. na certainly not here.

as a side comment, it's bad for all of us that the maintenance and installation of the driver has become a venue for advertising.
