Hello

I would like to know some information about the problem so that we can help you better.

What is the complete with code error message when you say, 'DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION '?

Thank you for details on the issue.

Bug DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION control has a value of 0 x 00000133. This bug check indicates that the watchdog DPC executed, either because it has detected a call single lengthy proceedings deferred (DPC), the system spent an extended time at a level (IRQL) IRQ to DISPATCH_LEVEL or above.

I suggest you try to start your computer in safe mode startup parameters of Windows in the Windows recovery environment and check.
Refer to this article:
Start settings for Windows (including safe mode)
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-8/Windows-startup-settings-safe-mode

Note: Changing the BIOS / semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

Safe mode starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and services. If a problem doesn't reappear when you start your PC in safe mode, you can eliminate the default settings and basic device drivers and services as a possible cause.

If the computer starts in safe mode, I suggest you to uninstall the security software and then try to start your computer in normal mode.
Reference:
Uninstall, change or repair a program

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

I hope this information helps.

Please let us know if you need more help.

Thank you

These were related to an OS driver called netbt.sys.  In my view, that there is an underlying cause. You must update to win 8.1 as in itself, this will probably fix this driver.

  • Windows 8 DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION (mainly at boot)

    Hey all,.

I bought a couple of Windows Mobile, 8 weeks. I had problems with this, but I'm not in a position to request a refund. It seems that the violation of CPD Watchdog is a problem common to many users of Windows 8, so I was wondering if I could get any help. I especially get this error message when I connect firstly in the login screen hangs and BSOD appears. I enclose the link to my zip Minidump file.
What is the problem? I desperately need help... Please let me know if you need more information.

  • DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION in snapshots of Windows 8

I still get error DPLC-WATCHDOG_VIOLATION at the end of a snapshot of Windows 8 (8.1).  The system reboots normally, and the snapshot seems valid (at least on the Actions Windows progress bar ends.  I can try taking snapshots and an earlier version of Windows (Windows 7 or XP), but I would like to know if someone else is learning it.

Hello.  I joined the newly created - Tablet vmware.log (compressed) to the starting thread because I couldn't seem to change your request for any reason any.  This time there is no dump file product (that I could find).  However, I have noticed a very brief blue screen at the end of the snapshot process - where the screen is painted.  The VM of Windows 8.1 then restarted without error.

What is a jmattson of 'lights '?

I can confirm what you say in every detail.  As long as running the Hyper-V program in the Windows prompt a DPLC error occurs.

However.  If your goal is to work with Hyper-V machines, that you have created, you can make a point of control of them before restarting the WS client. Those preserved through reboot of comments.

  • Upgrade to Windows 10 windows 8.1 on the Yoga 3 Pro

Computer hangs when you try to upgrade to Windows 10 (the circle under the lenovo logo runs for about a second, then stops). After forced reboot, it is up to 8.1 Windows with error message:

"We could not install Windows 10
We put your PC in the way it was just before the start, install Windows 10.

    0xC1900101 - 0 x 20017
"Installation failed during SAFE_OS with an error during the START operation.

I tried the suggestions online for this error (turn off bluetooth/wifi, remove the USB devices, USB installation editing), but does not (or am I doing wrong?),

I suspect this is related to the fact that I can't boot from the Windows 10 USB installation disk either.

I also tried all combinations of UEFI/fix/legacy boot in the Bios. The only time wherever I was able to boot from USB Windows 10 was boot inherited, but boot from USB via UEFI rather than inheritance. It has since stopped working, even after complete healing of Windows 8.1.

I was able to upgrade once after doing factory reset with the Lenovo USB. Wanted to clean install Windows 10 next, which I was able to boot Windows USB 10, but the installation failed for some reason any (i.e. obtained even hang up to restart the computer, as described above). Since then, I have not been able to start from USB Win10 more.

Had to do another factory reset to 8.1 original, but were unable to move to 10 from there either, despite various attempts.

After more than 10 of your time attempts updateing/installing, I am very disappointed by the experience (lack of)! Never had this problem with another machine. (and for that matter, what type of contact system stupid lenovo use? When you try to contact them about this, the text field has not even correspond to the description of the problem!)

All tips and suggestions on how to do a upgrade or install own would be very useful! If you need more details, please ask!

For posterity, I was able to install Windows 10 now after that I followed the DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION error and put quick start stop in the power settings (according to here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7GY-laVVzdA) and update some drivers who were missing. Can't really imagine it as the only reason for which, since before he had failed several times to install on a complete factory reset and completely update of windows, which were not lacking drivers, then perhaps it was really quick start bit?

However, I get this DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION constantly on 10 Windows, making it virtually unusable PC. Open a separate question on that.

Hello... I tried to search the forums and do not see an answer to this. My apologies if someone has answered this question and thank you if you could point me in the right place.

I had an upgrade my V7-482PG-9617 to Windows 10. Whenever I install, automatic updates would go and I would get a dpc_watchdog_violation every time that it starts. I ended up doing a clean and rodding installation drivers from the Acer support page in the machine before I let it reboot. That seems to have solved the problem at first, but now when he sleeps on the battery, it crashes. I tried many settings in the power settings, but can't seem to bypass.

Does anyone else have this problem? Solution?

I'm a little late, but since you have a mobile haswell 4500U, you must use the the Interface Windows driver Intel Managemnt 8.1 as a workaround so it will not crash when you put it to sleep or he falls asleep. It's a problem of incompatibility/known w / driver Intel MEI version 11.x (and driver Turbo Boost).

It's my generic how updates of appropriate driver: (updating the video/display driver and BIOS)

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded: run DriverView - set the VIEW to hide
Microsoft drivers - update those without drain in their names (and BIOS and chipset).

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,
Description, version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now click on
Driver update (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right
Click on - uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
    each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
    necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check

This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
    necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
    manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.
