DPI, depending on the size.

Hello Board,

My company provides an image for an upcoming event, and organizers claimed a JPEG with the minimum of 200 dpi

and the size of 7.5 x 5.5. Well and good. I have an image that is 26 x 16 at 72 dpi (14.4 MB), that the photographer said that CIOS don't

issue - resolution quality is "all about dimensions.

Is this really the case, or is there more I should know vs size of the CIO?

You change the size under the Image menu in-> size of the Image. Keep "resample image" unchecked.

But 26 x 16 does not proportionally adapt to the 7.5x5.5.

.. more like 7.5x4.6

  • Change the size of the CVI controls depending on the size of the screen

    Hello

    I'm trying to do something and I don't know if it is possible,

    I have panelMain than my handful of Panel, when I start my program and I show my sign that I'm maximizing the flexible screen up with:

    SetPanelAttribute (panelMain, ATTR_WINDOW_SIZE, VAL_MAXIMIZE) I do so to make this soft generic being for each screen size...

    but when I do so all the buttons go to the left of the screen while leaving me a blank gray surface in the right.

    I want to know is I can do a generic Panel as in desktop software or other software that the buttons change this size according to the size of the screen?

    If you have other solution there will also be grid...

    Thank you

    Well, that is not exactly true: according to the help of this attribute:

    Specifies if the content is put on the scale when the Panel is resized. This applies to programmatically resize, resizing in the User Interface Editor and the resizing by the end user.

    An alternatirve is to set the resolution setting in the editor of the IUR for the Panel to 100%: this should ensure the Panel is resized automatically regardless of screen resolution its original dimensions.

    Hello

    I thought it would be relatively easy, but I can't seem to find a way to implement correctly my if/else statement. I want to say, "If the size of the artboard is equal to these coordinates (0,792,1224,0), do xyz." Here is the code that I have that doesn't seem to work. Just so that I could try to make it work I have export a JPEG image, but that's irrelevant because once I got it working I have several conditions, while if I have a document with several plans of work, I can say different work plans to do different things, based on size. Any help is greatly appreciated. Let me know if osmething makes no sense.

    var doc = app.activeDocument;

    var destJPG = new File ("D:/Checkout/" + doc.name.split(".ai")[0] + ".jpg");

    Hello

    Here is my attempt so far.

    var aRect = this.getPageBox("Art",this.pageNum);

    function removePageFrames(page){  var tFrames = page.textFrames;    for (var n = tFrames.length-1; n >= 0 ; n--){              var gb = tFrames[n].geometricBounds;    var w = gb[3]-gb[1];            var h = gb[2]-gb[0];                 if (h == 20  && w == 20 ){      tFrames[n].remove();    }  }}for(var i=0;iremovePageFrames(doc.pages[i]);}

  • any way to lock the scale of a model (not dependent on the size of the object)?

    I know about the scale dialog box and the mode of scaling and object independently, but what I would really is a way to block a model to stay the same size and shape compared to any size becomes the object, to which it is applied throughout the document. From now on, it's hard enough to do what I say... constantly bother with issues of scale in the scale dialog box. But what happens if you have two objects and you want them to have the same model, same size etc even if their size and move them? Think if you are mapping and you as "swamp" or "thick granite" symbol and you want the marsh plants few stay the same size easily. It is possible now, but certainly not easy I can tell. 'Traits and effects scaling' option in preferences does not affect employers, is basically down to resize the object and then guess what percentage to keep the model. And I really don't want to do up the dialog scale up just because I want to make one of my larger items and don't want to come into conflict with the other grounds in the same way. Or maybe I'm not using the right program...

    all advice?

    Few things that comes to my mind - disable the motif size change in preferences. The select the object that has this model of fill and click twice on the shade of reason. This would reset the fill of the model in its default size. If you find that too big or small, rework on the shade of reason to get the right size. And next time, when you use the scale dialog box, make sure that you do not have "Patterns" checked.

    To change the position of tile in the fillings - select the object, press the tilde (~) key and using the Selection tool is trying to move the object slightly. Experiment a little.

    If that doesn't help - thanks for posting a snapshot.

    See you soon!

  • Make the size of the police according to different screen resolutions

    Hi all

    I'm developing an application that needs to run on the two devices OS 6 and 7. There are a number of devices that fall into that category, I need to standardize the sizes of police across all screen resolutions.

    A few messages in the support forum, I understand that I need to use UNITS_pt as the police unit in order to standardize the size of police across all resolutions.

    But my client gave me sizes of fonts to use in pixels. Should have sizes from photoshop. What I need now, is to convert the font size of the pixels into points. I created a method that you can find below, for this conversion, but I don't know if it will work or not. I need an expert advisor.

    public static Font getFontPlain(int fontSizeInPixels) {
            try {
                fontFamily = FontFamily.forName("Helvetica");
            } catch (ClassNotFoundException e) {
                Logger.blackBerryErrorLog("Error creating font", e);
            }
            int size = Ui.convertSize(fontSizeInPixels, Ui.UNITS_px, Ui.UNITS_pt);
            Font font = fontFamily.getFont(Font.PLAIN, size, Ui.UNITS_pt);
            return font;
        }

    Any help on this will be appreciated.

    Thank you much in advance.

    "Should have sizes from photoshop".

    Unfortunately, it's a potential problem. I've been in this situation before, and the size of the pixel depends on the size of the image that the designer uses to work up the screenshots.

    I had a designer who has very well used 72 dpi in the development of its screenshots and therefore the size of the pixel corresponding points, a point is 1/72nd of an inch. This could be the case here. What device has been the designer develops for and what size have been specified for the various policies?

  • 2 questions - run as administriator & change in the size of the text

    Hi all!

    I've developed software with CVI, could you please answer 2 questions?

    1. when I install on other computers, the text messages different looks (the police expanded) and in my computer, it seems. I think that happens when you choose to change the text size in windows thorugh: Panel-> apperance and customizations-> medium(125%)/large(150%) instead of hail (default 100%). Prevent the change in the size of the text in the panels?

    2. on other computers the software could not create a file for writing, unless a throw with the option "Run as administriator". Why?

    I hope you understood my questions, thank you!

    Depending on the size of the text is concerned, if you do not use one of the metafonts predefined for your labels and the text of the control, you shouldn't have this problem. The metafonts are designed to take on the characteristics (in size and style), the default settings of the computer where you run your program. Furthermore, by default, all new controls that you create using one of these metafonts, specifically NIDialogMetaFont, which is an alias for a variable size font which can become more or less important depending on the settings of the computer.

    To avoid this, you can change melting completely to something else (Arial, etc.), or you can even keep the same font, but make sure that you choose a different size that will result by it is not not the metafont predefined. For example, in my computer, if I use the point size 11, I use the metafont. But if I change the size of point to something else, then I don't want to, and that its size in points then remains the same in any computer.

    Size 11 (metafont):

    Size 12 (no metafont):

  • Dynamically adjust the size of table control panel

    Hello

    I have a combo box control that I drag within a table.

    Since my request depends on the size of the initialized array, I'm having a problem with the car, adjust the number of items to display on the control panel.

    Say for example, I wanted to have 4 zones of drop-down list on my table, I drag the table to show the 4 combo boxes.

    The problem is that if I wanted to change this moment of execution at 2 or 6 elements, it still shows 4 items in the control.

    Is there a way to adjust based on the number of items?
