  Hi all - I'm still in the dark here about using DPS Professional Edition under the agency model. Can I develop applications for other companies using Adobe DPS?

• Question about DPS Professional Edition

  Hi all

  I am building an application with simple edition for my client using my CC, now, my client has decide that it wishes to target Android devices. Please correct me if I am wrong in that my client will pay now.

  Professional Edition monthly $495 x 12mos = $5940

  Question: Does my client gets the 250. Free Folio on a monthly or is - just a deal for the 1 year of time service?

  Nothing else that I'm missing or should consider? Thank you.

  Download of 250 each month is free for the first year only. In the second year, they need buy folio extra packs download.

  Hi, I would like to make you a few questions.

  I develop a digital magazine for a client, and I have to carry a magazine of Pentecost one release every 3 months.
  So I would like to know if it's better for me is a professional monthly or annual edition.
  That means, for the monthly professional edition, 250 folio download a year? And many consider each magazine version or just one? (I want to say, 250 download for each new magazine version 4 per year)

  If I download the version number 251, what will happen?

  Another question, if I subscribe monthly edition, the version number 3, will disappear after the month I paid?

  For examples of simple editing, you can take a look at Adidas Outdoor, for professional, take a look at loop Magazine, Magazine etc. blades. The diferrence major that you will notice is that with editions Professional, Apps have the ability to post multiple questions in an application, so it didn't need to introduce the new application to Apple and get it approved, whenever you have a new version of the question, with simple editing on the other end, each issue would be built in app, and whenever there is a new question/version will be submitted to Apple for review.   my client just to tell me that they change the name of their magazines 'Passion Hub' to 'Passionhub Megazine', this change doesn't have certain procedures or is just an upgrade in the AppStore with iTunes Connect?

  I see that the name change has already taken place. He need only a case to submit a new version of iTunes Connect.

  As long as it uses the same ID App, then the client will not be affected.

• Customization of sharing Social on DPS Professional Edition

  I have activated successfully social sharing on facebook with my multi-folio Viewer application. However, when a post is made of my application, the name and version # of my folio appears twice. The first time, this is a link to my Viewer online (which is good) but the second time it seems just tedious. I would like to put a description of the application if possible here. Any ideas?   Thank you for including the screenshot. It helps. The first 'Tailormade Collection v1.0' in blue (the link) is by using the information in the field under Article in Folio Producer. My first suggestion is to check the producer Folio to see if the name of the Publication is entered in the field under Article... This could be the cause of duplication.

  Here is an example of message (iOS 6 for example) which shows an Article title (Interview with Jessica Walsh) followed by the name & number/Date of Publication (Adobe inspire Magazine December 2012)

  

• workflow DPS unique Edition and Professional Edition

  I am currently working with the unique edition of DPS, and all is well. However, it may be necessary that I turn to professional edition, according to the wishes of the customer. I have a few questions on my mind regarding the workflow and the transfer of Single to Professional Edition:

  (1) how does the transfer of the DPS unique Professional Edition? Can I just order a set level or so online and I can use it instantly? Or is it more complicated and takes a long time?

  (2) currently, in the design of the iPad in Indesign publications, I put the dimensions of the page according to the dimensions of the screen iPad. When I publish to iPad and Android tablets using the professional edition, do I layout the same Indesign files in several dimensions in different pixels depending on the devices? Or the professional edition to somehow "convert" the dimensions automatically (would a dream solution, I know)? The same accounts for iPhone and Android smart phones, do I have to create the same Indesign files for dimensions in pixels very different screen or how it works?

  (3) can I add features such as In-App-purchases, Push Notifications, adding to the newsstand etc. during the creation of the App on Indesign in the Panel Builder Folio or can I put these things in iTunes Connect?

  (4) currently with the unique edition of DPS, I don't have any Analytics - outside what iTunes Connect shows me of course. Is there perhaps any other analytics tool that I can use at the moment with the unique edition of DPS?

  (5) are there other things should I consider when passing the unique edition of DPS Professional Edition?

  #2: If you want folios of different size for each device, then you must create files of different size for each device. We have a few features to InDesign to help with this (as the other layouts), but there is still time. Honestly, it is useless. Dimensionnera your folios of 1024 x 768 for the iPad and mailbox correctly on all Android and Windows devices that support us, even Android phones. The only place where you would need to do another dimension is to support iPhones.

  #3: they are configured in iTunes Connect and App Builder. We have a walkthrough guide that illustrates the entire process to http://help.adobe.com/en_US/ppcompdoc/Adobe_Publishing_Companion_Guide_for_iPad.pdf.

  #4: there is no available with simple editing analytics.

  #5: don't forget that when you switch to Professional Edition we still that supports only apps on iPad edition. The iPhone, Android and Windows support is only with applications of several questions.

  You can create Apps integrated with DPS simple editing. Cannot create problem multi apps using DPS SE or DPS CC.

  To create Multi question applications, you need go to the DPS Professional Edition or Enterprise Edition.

  DPS Professional Edition is limited to a single application for a title through each of our supported platforms. In your case, you would have three applications on each platform, which would require three separate Professional Edition licenses.

  I heard today my dealer now the DPS Professional Edition will allow only a single application development. Is this correct?

  This new platform if true - is a game changer. My gut tells me that the DPS is all about the enterprise platform - where's the money. All targets to release this platform with 75% of the features apply only to the company. I'll wait and see what is happening here... but I maybe look into alternatives...

• Agency model for Professional Edition?

  Someone from Adobe on a previous post said that when their own DPS Professional Edition subscription, they can create applications on behalf of other clients, and then clients can choose to host and sell their content with Apple you or themselves. This is known to be the model of the Agency and told me, several times in fact, that it was not available for any edition of DPS except Enterprise Edition.

  I would appreciate an official response from Adobe on this issue. Thank you.

  This is possible with the professional edition too and saw other customers as well pro do. But I must warn you its a bit dirty and not the best workflow in my opinion. Tell the Agency publish and download the application using the account of Pro and Apple of their organization. If somehow, the client decided to resume in their hands, the app has come out for Apple as a completely new application to the total of the customer counts Apple and Pro. Breaking so all subscribers previously subscribed to the application on behalf of the organization. And I don't think that there is a way to transfer subscribers to one Apple Developer account to another. And all folios published previously should be re-released from the new Pro customer account. There is also this notion of .folio of download fees available to the Organization to the customer and have seen a difficult task to determine the price and what .folio download buy because of the inconsistancy with the numbers of dowload from publication to publication.

  Not recommended to the IMO, but if you can deal with it, it is possible to stil. No agency or here customers wishing to make comments on their experiences?

  Q. is the limit of availability applied to the professional edition of DPS too? Can I buy the edition of Professor of anywhere in the world via the online adobe store?

  Roman Les CC and the DPS are listed on the Web site of adobe in the Middle East but when when I press the link takes me to the original adobe site.

  I'm trying to find information on the professional edition of DPS but is unclear to me, maby someone could help me?

  Issues related to the:

  1. how musch does it cost and where on the Adobe site can I buy it? And how many downloads are included?

  2. is it necessary to have a CC account also? I have a subscription to CC for now, but only because I wanted to use unique DPS now retirement edition. But all my indesign work is done on a CS6 license I bought before the introduction of CC. So my question is, can I buy a professional edition of DPS and use it with CS6 without subscription of the CC?

  3. If I want to publish an app multifolio with 3 separate applications for sale inside ($ app a 3.99, app $ two 4.99, in-app three 8.99 dollars) and I want to sell this app the same multifolio on the Appstore, Google play and store Windows, can I do this with a SINGLE professional edition license?

  4. the app I want to publish as 2048 x 1536 and works well with my iPad to the retina. The resolution will also work with tablets of high resolution with android or windows on it?

And now, do not service more society ends and we are looking for a refund because we are already paid until March 2015.   Help, please! I can't find where upgrade my DPS which is included with Creative cloud for the professional edition. When I call the phone number on the web page whenever it is said that they are not available, and I filled out the form on the site several times yet nobody took the trouble to get in touch. I have deadlines are approaching and now long desperately trying to address this issue. I can't find another number to call, and you can no longer buy it every month on the store as you could before.
