Yes, I suggest to make a back-up first and install the latest OS for your device (from your carrier). Once installation is complete give 1 or 2 days so that it can be fully synchronized.

Keep us informed.

    Hi lil_deville

    Welcome to the community

Sorry for the problem you are having but battery draining depends on the user how he uses his aircraft, assumed that if you leave the Application running in the background or wi - fi open left consumes a lot of battery.

Please press on and press and hold the Menu for a few seconds, it will appear a screen that will display all the programs running in the background, usually five will always look here (home, BBM, Message, phone, browser), appropriate to other applications. are running.

But again, if this does not resolve update you your device to 7.1 software which can help to overcome the problem of draining your battery.

In addition take a look at this useful article of the KB14320 Knowledge Base

  • My phone blackBerry smartphones is extremely slow and eat the battery

I have faced this problem for 3 days and went to my service provider today to inquire.

My phone has been extremely slow, the time clock thing is for still running, and so my phone dies in 3 to 4 hours with no real use. I was told that it was because I need to update my OS but when I got home and plugged in it says that my phone is up to date and there is no upgrade available OS. I bought a spare battery to see if it was the problem and it is not. This is getting very frustrating. He even got to the point of when I lock the phone I can't unlock it during the same get the screen to turn on. the only way to start is to pull the battery out and put back.

  • Severe battery blackBerry Smartphones drain

Since I upgraded to 6.0 Bundle 3084 a few days ago my battery runs down in less than 2 hours, if I use the camera or not.  What should do? Help!

To avoid draining the severe battery and a freezing response development or late / slow on any BlackBerry, most important practice that you can adopt is to ensure CLOSE applications when you are finished using them.

If you simply press the 'end call' red to go back to the home screen the application remains running in the background and the battery drain and actually open. If you do this several times, you will have many apps open and therefore your battery and memory will get used. Lack of memory is the main reason for your BlackBerry slows to a crawl or crashes. If you make a habit of actually use the menu button to close the applications that will at least slow this process memory-clogging. You may still do a battery pull or using the "Quickpull" app from time to time when things get slow.

To check what applications run on your device in the background, press the Menu key, and then click switching Applications. You will see icons for each application it.

So now, check your applications running in the background. There are four or five applications that will always run fluently (Messages, Call Logs/phone, BlackBerry Messenger, home screen and the browser; there are other third-party applications such as BeeJive and alerts of BlackBerry that will work also in the bottom that you can not close if you want they work). Ensure that the browser is NOT on an active Web page (open the browser and select the Menu > close). Close all other applications that do not need to be running (the camera or a game you were playing or Google Maps).

Here are some good ethylometrique and loading boards, please read and you will see that many of them will be applicable to you.

  • Problems with my new "BOLD" draining major battery blackBerry Smartphones Pretty

    Hey all.

I bought my "BOLD" 02-01-09 (Thursday, GMT + 10) from a local business here on Guam wireless.  I've tinkered with it all weekend, but come Monday, my first day on the job with her, I found that I had battery problems.  I took the "BOLD" from the charger at 22:00 Sunday night to serve as a wake-up call in place of the former PDA. From 16:00 on Monday, with no phone call and any other use of few (although the wifi was on, NOT connected to any network) the battery is less than 15%. Up to 18 hours, he spent 17 hours in my pocket and it was spent.  WIFI * was * on.

Tuesday after battery problems, I charged the phone all night and turned off WIFI.  The phone all night, removed the Mini-USB dongle that feeds it just before my departure at 06:00.  At noon, with no navigation, no internet, less than 3 emails checked quickly, no bluetooth, no wifi, no gps...  NO use at all, except a few quick emails not checked, it is up to 60% battery by noon.  6 hours.

Tuesday night, I upgraded from OS 4.6.0.162 for 4.6.0.190.  I again accused the phone all night, pulling on my way to work Wednesday at 06:00.  60 percent at noon, with the same amount of use.  I took it in the GTA and they swapped the battery and said "check".

Thursday.  Same case, charged every night until 06:00.  Same amount of use (not a lot of data, no phone call).  Now is 16:50 (~ 11 hours later) and battery pays 55%.  It seems that nearly 25 to 45% better than before, MIME...  But no where near the 300 + hours of "standby" announced.  At the current pace, I had its

GPS, Bluetooth and WIFI was off since Monday night.  I'm very * beep * close background applications.   GTA is running to the EDGE network.  Screen brightness is 20%, but the BB pass 97% of his day in his pocket OEM, in my pocket.

    Suggestions?

I solved this problem on my own.  I guess it helps to be an electronics technician.

    Symptom: Battery Drain

    Remote fault: 3G & 2 G turned on together on a single 2G network.

FIX: The 2G network only in the options value.

  • Battery for blackBerry Smartphones now dead fast?

    Have Storm II 9550. V 5.0.0.71 3.

Everything worked very well. Now three times the light on the top right of the BB flashes red.

Check and don't know why. No appeal. E-mails sent all cleared etc.

Then, in a short time the battery died after being charged. Pull the battery, charge, red light does not blink.

Once saw something like, impossible to connect to the radio message.? I didn't connect to the radio.

    1. is there a way to see what is running on my camera so I can't find which could run battery down.

    2. the device that can remove Skypre and other applications.

    Thank you for your help.

PS. has added a few applications from BB App World. Pull quickly. Quick tips. Dictionary.

    Verizon service.

    1. Yes. If you simply press the Red "end call" key to return to the home screen application is actually open and running in the background. If you do this several times, you will have many apps open and therefore your memory will get used. If you make a habit of actually use the menu button to close the applications that will at least slow this process memory-clogging.

To check what applications run on your device in the background, press the Menu key, and then click switching Applications. You will see icons for each application it.

    2. you can't really delete these shortcuts to application "pushed," not very easy installation. It is simpler:
To do this: create a folder on your home screen and name it "Junk" (you can choose to be more creative the folder name ). Now, highlight each unwanted icon and press the Menu key > go to folder and move it to the folder "spam". That, for each, you don't want to do.
Now, highlight this "Junk" folder, and select Menu > hide.
Out of site, out of mind. Meanwhile, feel free to complain to Verizon or their own user forums.

Now, if you have actually have Skype installed, go to Options > Applications, scroll to Skype, open it and press DELETE.

  • Time for a new battery blackBerry Smartphones?

My BB9900 is around the age of 18 months. A few days after the release of a couple of applications (including the application resources Manager), the fully charged phone would be to restart suddenly, get stuck in cycles and a few minutes later appear as if the battery was empty. On the connection of a battery charger state jumps to its initial state of charge. Today I reloaded the OS, but the problem reappeared. All the smoothly wonder and then right in the middle of something (any application), it restarts and "think", the battery is discharged. Would that the battery is dead or is it a conflict with one of the apps I have? I always ensure that I keep the number of apps open at any time at least. All advice welcome

Yes, my friend, it looks like its about time to get a new battery.

  • Quick battery blackBerry Smartphones and heat exhaustion!

It of a bold from Rogers, resumed on 21 August

my battery life is shortened. in fact, the other day that there lasting only a few hours and the device has been hot, so something has been quickly draining the battery.

I took out the battery for 30 seconds and succeeded him and it seemed perfect. the battery very long, well more than a day with 3 g and wifi for the most on.

It was 3 days ago, but earlier he started to heat up with the life of the battery begins to run out quickly again.

I turned the unit then after 30 seconds, but the device is hot with the battery that ODS.

so I guess I have to take out the battery.

There must be either an operation that is the cause or the battery is perhaps loose?

I would like to know what is the cause.

    Thank you

I have the latest operating system that is already installed venu.126. It works perfectly well now since that time, I got out and reinstalled the battery.

I think that the other day when she ignites again and depleting the battery quickly was due to an application that has kept running I have it didn't close properly. It's go to options and select farm rather than escape.

    Eleonora1, welcome to the forums.

This icon in the notifications bar is probably the result of a recent upgrade of an application that you have installed on your BlackBerry, probably named Advance OS and LED application. When upgrading to version 15.4, it set by default unless you know a new module to place this icon on the notification bar.

    • Advance Open OS.
    • Click on the second from the left icon.
    • Then on battery Notifications
    • Select OFF to Homescreen icons & meter.

If by that, you mean your device lock password, these powers are separated. ID of BB is the way that you associate your BB to BB - VRD and contains accreditation is very clean, which are separate from your password locking device, your credentials from the account of electronic mail and all other things.

It seems that you do not know your credentials BBID, forcing you to reset the password:

    • KB28685 How to reset the BlackBerry ID password by using the password recovery question

Note carefully that the reset password email is not, for reasons of security, delivered to your BB... so you will need to access non - BB to the e-mail account associated with your BB ID.

    Good luck!

  • Charge/battery blackBerry smartphones

All of a sudden my BB "BOLD" will not load. I tried all 3 of my Chargers thinking at first that I had a bad cord. 3 all cases not identified in my "BOLD". Finally, it was cut. I took out the battery and tried a difficult start, before it died completely. I took it to AT & T and all they said my was I needed a new phone... They have tried nothing... If I just need a new battery? I got this phone just in one year. Gift of Christmas last year. I LOVE my BB "BOLD"! Please help ~.

I think the USB itself the device... where you plug the power cord in. They are easily damaged.

You plug your charger on the pod and then you just put the BB down the pod to load. I use these for all my BB devices.
