  I need to be able to draw a straight line and write about areas that I colored. I could do in PhotoStudio, but I don't know how to do in Photoshop.

  Use layers.  Text for writing on areas layers.  They can be changed.  You can change the text, font, size, color, Position, fusion and opacity and a layer style can be added.

  To draw the limes add a blank layer.  Select a brush and the color.  Left-click on one end of the line you want to draw.   Straight lines are simple: the brush, click where you want the starting line (you will paint one place) then hold down the SHIFT key and click where you want the line to end. Photoshop will draw a straight line between your departure and arrival.

  I think you want the pen tool. If you click on a point, then another while to now shift, it will draw straight lines to 90 or 45 degrees. You should be able to do what you want in this way by clicking on each corner quickly, while now shift.

  I don't think you're missing something really, as you say press 'shift' to activate the version "+" of the Brush tool and so you will always get an addition to your selection if SHIFT-click between two points to give a straight line. If you really want to avoid using press SHIFT-click on the button 'invert' and then shift - click, when finished press "reverse" yet once and you should have what you want.

  Hi all

  I created a VI that could be traced a Polar curve according to time-distance formula. The VI has present Mag and target Mag. each with its own angle (Polar form that is (r, theta)). I want to draw a straight line from the current point to the target point. I used the time-distance formula to trace the scale and used the same slope to point the angle. However, I get a curved path as shown in the attachment.

  Could someone tell me what formula can be used to draw a straight line from the current point to the target point?

  1 convert two polar points in rectangular coordinates.

  2. generate the points between the two.  You can use the function of ramp or some other methods to generate points.

  3 convert points to polar coordinates and draw.  Nice straight line!

  Hi, I have a student subscription and have had the intelligence of worse trouble... : Flash. Each time it updates the tool brush stops working and draws only straight lines. I use a dual monitor set up with Windows 8 and a Cintiq 13HD. I tried to change my display settings to 100% which was recommended as a solution - it worked the first time, but no longer works.   Thank you very much, but when I tried this, my pen wouldn't work, just the mouse. Anyway, I changed it to what it was before (extended desktop computers) and it seemed to work. I don't know what makes the work because I had not tried before making changes today, but fingers crossed it stays like that!

• How can I draw a smooth line?

  I would like to draw a few smooth curves on one of my photos.  I tried the regular brush tool, but my mouse skills are not good enough to get some nice smooth lines.  Is it possible that I can draw smooth lines short buy Illustrator?

  The workaround in the elements is:

  1. Open an empty layer above the background
  2. Access the Brush tool and draw a straight line in the vertical axis. To do this, click a starting point for the line to the left, hold down the SHIFT key and click the desired end. You should see a straight line.

  To create your path, click on the button "Create a new path", second from right at the bottom of the garbage can. Select the pen tool. Draw your way. Click on the small triangle at the top right (highlighted). Select the path of the path.

• Segments of straight lines do not align with grid

  Whenever I draw a straight line segment, it is not lined up on the grid, it is slightly to the left or right side of the line of the grid. (you can see on the line down to the right in the picture).  It is annoying because I can't get a bow to align properly with the segment of the line, as you can see in the picture there is a cliff on the bow where I want to align perfectly on the line segment. I have snap to grid on passing, but I tried with him off and it still does the same thing.

  I tried object-path-join with the line and the CRA chosen, but all that is move the whole arc to the left. I tried to recover the anchor points of the line and move them to the middle and I can get one end to align with the line of sight of the grid, but as soon as I move the anchor in front on the line to straighten out, all snaps back to being slightly to the left or right.

  Someone has ideas of how to do to get my path of line to be directly on the grid, so it is aligned with the CRA?
