  I would like to remove the petals from the background.

  1 method: with the select magic wand the white bg, select-> invert the selection and create a layer mask.

  

  The layer mask is a monochrome picture, transparent black, white is opaque and anything in between is more or less transparent.

  You can now select the layer mask, use the brush and black paint, where you want to have something white, removed where you want to have something added. It is non-destructive and works very well on your photo.

  

  You can use shift click to 'draw' the small lines to attach to the top. According to the clarification, it will take more or less time. As I said are non-destructive.

  You must disable the Touch Mode, with the toolbar button or the preference of the user: Edit > preferences > General > Mode Touch > never

  I use the application Illustrator draw for Ipad.

  If you talk about the edges distorted on the text and the lines of emphasis, you see here:

  

  Then you can create the text effect using several techniques, including the rough edges, move Turbulent.

  The lines could be a rough animated with edges shape layer or move Turbulent applied. Just draw a few lines with the pen tool and animate their length and their position if necessary.

• Drawing shapes in layers with CS3

  I work with Photoshop Extended v10.0.1 on Mac OS 10.5.8

  I went to PS v10.0.1 v5.5. Great leap forward.

  In version 5.5, I could use the on-line tool, the tool Rectangle or any other shape to draw on different layers tool. I could control the line width and color. You would be able to see all the different forms on different layers all at once, unless of course you have hidden a layer. Now in 10.0.1 if I pull a single shape on a layer, then another on a second layer, the second layer makes the first disappear. In fact I can't draw several shapes on any single layer, the PS is always automatically a new layer for the new form. I tried the manual for this search and can not find the solution. I know that a lot changed between these two versions, but is there something I need to do to be able to draw shapes on different layers (and multiple shapes on a layer), and make them all visible as if it were on v5.5?

• Zoom in the photo and the line at the same time?

  So, I accomplished the ability to zoom in/out of an image on the front panel, with user input. And I discovered separately how to programmatically create a line in the block diagram with draw several Lines.vi, and it appears on the front panel to run. But now, I'd like to combine the two so that I have a photo zoomable on the front panel that has even a coded line that is simultaneously zoomed on at the same time as the picture. You know, so that zoom is the same for the image and the line and the line is always proportional to the same place on the image as it was before zooming.

  For now, I tried to stack the line with the image, but it's no dice. The line appears and is zoomable in front, but the image disappears. I would like to have visible both with line ontop of photo and zoomable by the zoom control switch.

  I would like to know, is it possible to force SQL * Plus to provide the number of the current in the source file line whenever there is an error? I often put in the first line of my script SQLBLANKLINES the VALUE ON that I may be able to put several consecutive blank lines in my code (I do that sometimes, when I find that it is appropriate to make my code more readable or a sequence of instructions which I believe make their logic more comprehensible for the reader of the Group)

  Now the problem is that SQL * Plus will ignore these empty lines and whenever there is an error, the line number in the error message does not match the actual line number in the source file, but it seems to be the last non-empty line in the file.  Consider the following example:

  As you can see the error message indicates that the error was found on line 8, while in the file, it's really on line 9

  As long as the number of lines in the script is limited, this may not be a problem and we can quickly find the actual line number in the code that causes the error, but for a code, including hundreds (or even thousands) of lines and with many comments and blank lines, find line number given by SQL * error message more becomes complicated.

  So my question: is it possible to make SQ * more properly draw the line numbers, as they appear in the source file?

  Hi, Dariyoosh,

  The line numbers in error messages are always from the beginning of the statement, but not the file.  The back-end which checks the errors and generates the error message, has no idea if this statement has appeared in your file, even if the statement was in a file at all, or if it comes from multiple files, each with its own line 1.

  You can divide your scripts into parts, so that the long statements, which may lead to error messages, are each in a separate file, so the statement starts on the line 1 of the file.

  For example, you can call a script called fubar.sql, which looks like this:

  SET SQLBLANKLINES ON;
  
  @@fubar_1
  

  Which calls another script, called fubar_1.sql, located on the same directory as fubar.sql, that looks like this

  DECLARE
      var PLS_INTEGER := 10;
  BEGIN
  
      var := 20
  END;
  /
  

  You never call him directly fubar_1.

  C.pfaffenbichler said, "multiply" blending mode is your friend here.

  To illustrate this, take a look at this composite that I made using my Wacom tablet:

  1. I drew two coats, one with a face and a with a bubble, they are located on separate layers and both have a white background (like your digital images)

  2. then, I selected the top layer (which is being the bubble) and changed the blend mode 'multiply '.

  4. just for fun, I placed a texture of paper, I found online on the bottom layer and put my face "Multiply" layer that actually seems as if it was drawn on paper.

• drawing shapes to specific dimensions

  I am very new to Photoshop (CS4) and use it to create illustrations for web design. Can someone tell me how to score forms? For example, I want to quote a graphic banner - consists of rounded rectangle - and then know the size I want it in Dreamweaver, but can't see a way to set it up in Photoshop. I have experience using CAD, so I'm used to be able to draw shapes very easily to an exact size (this knowledge is probably inhibit me indeed - think that my brain is always in the mode CAD!).

  Its easily done, but its hidden in a submenu.

  In the toolbar on the left, navigate to the shape tool

  Click it

  At the top of your screen is a bar with all the different shapes (square, circle, Star etc.)

  At the end of this is a blue arrow

  Click on that and enter in the boxes "fixed size", specifying your units

  Took me forever to learn about it

  (PS I'm only on CS3 so I hope that this still applies in CS4)

• The film shared iMovie displays noise and horizontal lines where I have added a few pictures

  I've added a few photos at the end of my film (about 7 min long, 4 k, but to 1020), but at the beginning a few black and white lines appear instead of the photo and this also happens with another photo.

  Are you by chance using iMovie 11 (version 9)?  This does not work with still photos under El Capitan, only the last version, 10.1.2.

  When scrolling with the mouse, periodically the entire screen turns into black and white lines. Page sometimes together, sometimes just from ads pictures/side.
