Dreamweaver crashes when a closing tag

I have a very annoying problem with Dreamweaver CC on my Mac.

When I close a < ul > < li > tag, or dreamweaver crashes every time. Also after reboot...
Very very boring...

I do not understand Adobe!

With all the new features for Visual editing (I don't think that a respected Web Designer uses these tools even when!), you really forget the basics of Web design (CODING)

Try to clear the cache of the program and see if that is not correct...

http://forums.Adobe.com/thread/494811

A corrupt cache file can cause all sorts of bizarre behavior, I never heard of this one in particular, but it might do the trick.

Cs6 Dreamweaver crashes when switching from design to live view

I'll try later, but I think I may have found the problem. It seems that the cs6 dreamweaver made two files confquration on the same day, but only about 4 hours out. This does not seem normal to me.  Does anyone know why an expensive program like this would do that? Was it a mistake of the operator? I asked the woman who runs this program and she doesn't know anything about the configuration files. Here's what show folders > C:\Users\cyn\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CS6\en_US\confiquration, configuration-1

  • 18.0 Firefox crashes when I closed Firefox on a 32-bit computer. OK in 64-bit computer.

18.0 Firefox works fine when I open it on a 32-bit desktop. I can open any Web site (I use one tab). But when I closed Firefox, I get the message "Firefox has crashed." It charges ok, but I've never had this problem with any version of Firefox before. I downloaded another copy of 18.0 and it's the same thing. 18.0 works perfectly on a 64-bit computer. Both computers are connected to the router. I keep my security, Windows 7, etc. updated.

If I can download 17.x, I would see that if he goes there, as he never did before. I would like your suggestions. Thank you.

  • CS6 Dreamweaver crashes when you use Parallels Desktop

Hello. When I use Dreamweaver CS6 on Mac OS 10.11.6, it crashes a lot. Sometimes, it will be immediately. Sometimes I can use it for a few hours. Do not know what triggers really crash if it saves files, undoing things. It's really random. I have Parallels Desktop 11.2.1 also installed so that I can run Windows on my iMac. I used to run Windows 8.1 and never had any problems with Dreamweaver crashing. When I installed 10 Windows, which seems to be when I started having problems. Not sure if this can even be linked or not. Is there a memory problem Windows 10 is requiring more virtual memory which is causing problems? Or maybe that Dreamweaver has been corrupted somehow?

How can I contact Support Adobe by phone? He directed me to this forum. I still have the serial for Design & Web Premium key. Can I just download Dreamweaver and then use this key set of the to save so I can uninstall the Dreamweaver I and install again? Which will work? You do not know if this will fix the problem or not, but I thought it would be worth it. Can someone help me? Thank you.

As John said, CS6 is old software.  But don't give up hope quite yet.

The first thing to try is to delete the Cache of corrupt in DW.  Make sure that hidden files & folders are in your Mac Finder or Windows Explorer

    http://forums.Adobe.com/thread/494811

If this does not help, try to restore preferences

    https://helpx.Adobe.com/Dreamweaver/KB/restore-preferences-Dreamweaver-CS6-cc.html

If all else fails, use the tools in cleaning of CC below followed by a re - install software.

  • CC 2015 Dreamweaver crashing when inserting an image

After the update of November, opening some files causes Dreamweaver cc 2015 planting.

has decided to create a new html file but now Dreamweaver freezes when inserting a picture.

Someone knows how to solve this problem, I have a-installed and re-installed and it is always to have the same effect

I can insert the image of the local site (let's call it A) to files within a different local site and no crash occurs,.

but try to insert the image of A site, and BOOM Dreamweaver stops.

Inserting images to other local sites work well, but also try to insert images of his own image folder causes problems

Thank you Nancy O, just tried that, but it did not work.

I think it has to do with the images and how Dreamweaver sees them.

I have just re-exported images JPEG in Photoshop and they work fine.

The images were created just before the last update CC causing the problem.

I have the solution after some trial and error to find a program on my system that was causing this problem and then by searching the forums here in order to see if he hit someone else.

It seems that a program called Teamviewer (remote access software) if it is running or in the toolbar causes Dreamweaver to crash. The solution is to make a change to how Teamviewer runs.

Here is a link to the adobe forum where the answer is discussed. Although it is not the same exact error message when it crashes the solution allows Dreamweaver shut down normally.

  • Dreamweaver crashes when opening

Running DW MX 2004, with the update applied 7.0.1 on a Sony PC with Win XP, DW crashes when opening. I waited as long as 10 minutes to see it each responds, and it doesn't.

I have to CTRL-ALT-DEL and terminate the application. When the re-opening, it opens normally.

Not connected to a network, the site on the local disk C files.

It seems to have started to occur after you apply the 7.0.1 updater.

Someone at - it solutions to this?

You can try this simple fix-

    Stop DW.

    Find the folder-

    C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\Macromedia\Dreamweaver
    8\Configuration\WinFileCache-*.dat
(these files are normally hidden - you may have to use Explorer > tools >)
    To view the Folder Options)

    and delete it.

    Restart DW. Works better?

  • Dreamweaver crashes when loading SFTP

    Hello

My DW CS6 crashes whenever I try to download files in BC via SFTP. It doesn't to any FTP connection, I think it has to do with BC-SFTP-connec. When the computer reboots, he worked several times, but soon I stop working for a few minutes, next download fails. I'm up-to-date with my updates (CC).

Problem becomes even worse in recent weeks, as the interval, after which, I can't download more shortens. First of all, I could idle for about 10 to 20 minutes, now DW hangs after a delay of 3 to 5 min. sometimes after a reboot, his work not at all.

I need urgent help, in this case, as all my clients are in BC. !

    Best regards, Dennis

    Hello

the guys kind of Adobe seem to have solved the problem with the connection to BC, great, thanks for that.

The problem with my DW to crash when you try to connect to BC seems to be caused by the use of a Qnap NAS who I saved my files. When you use the access path to the NAS in DW site definitions, it crashes from time to time. As soon as I changed the path to a local directory on the hard drive of my computer, the error occurs no more.

  • Dreamweaver crashes when the site is more than 10,000 files

    Hi people!

I'm new here. I use Dreamweaver on a Mac Yosemite and after that I started working on a site with more than 10,000 files, it always crashes.

Only when I change to another site no way that a lot of files that Dreamweaver works ok, but if I run a big site.

Y at - it someone with the same problem?

    Anderson Costa

10,000 files in a static site is quite monstrous for DW, it could be a caching problem, I try to turn it off...

Access the Site > Manage Sites > click the huge site > Edit > advanced settings > local news > uncheck enable Cache > save

Then try something that normally causes an accident and see if it works.

  • Dreamweaver crashes when you choose to search for a background picture

I am new to Dreamweaver and am following as well as a few tutorials on Lynda.com.

Gets one of the exercises you can select a menu in your Web site, give it a class name, then select the icon background, browse for the image.  The first time I did it, it was beautiful, clicked on browse, chose the file I want. The order of the day with a different class name, clicked on it, has chosen to browse (background image) without pop up window, you click on new, then a window popped up, as he did hanging Dreanweaver and then crashed.

Since then every time I click to add a background image, click Browse don't give not a pop window to the first click, second click opens a pop-up window to go and DW accidents!

    Help!

    Thank you very much

    Unfortunately it does not either.

I uninstalled, delete all the files and reinstalled.

Launched again and the same thing happened when I chose "open" and navigate to the office where my folder was.

Since then, I just erased my desktop, moved my files of exercise there and then created a favorite link in the finder to access the folder directly.

Since my office of all the files of compensation, I can now select 'Open' and navigate properly! I wonder if it could have been something to do with the files that are found on the desktop!

    Strange!

    Sorted according to me!

Thank you very much for your help if Nancy O - must book mark these pages for later use.

  • CS6 Dreamweaver crashes when opening file

From recently Dreamweaver CS6 hangs for 30 seconds or more, sometimes saying does not, when I open a HTML file. It seems to do this when the file contains links to external sites. To test, I created a file containing nothing else than the "new HTML file" basic headings, saved the file, then open. This test file do not hang.

I tried the registry fix from the "FALSE ResolveRemoteURLToIPAddress" and delete the personal configuration (with closed Dreamweaver) directory. None of these solved the problem. Dreamweaver is always suspended when opening a file.

    Any other ideas?

    Barry.

Once the document opens, check the code for any protocol links (links that start by / / instead of http://) and change to http:// links, at least during development. This is a known issue with Adobe and will do what you describe.

If you don't have any links related to Protocol, links to third-party websites can cause problems from time to time if their servers are slow or behave any kind of conflict with your network. Unless you can absolutely not, you can copy the external scripts to your local site and a link to the local versions instead, once again, during development.

  • CC of Dreamweaver crashes when switching from mode code in design mode

I am a recent problem with a file that I am currently working. When I switch from code in the Dreamweaver design view crashes and requires a stop down. Other files seem to work without problem. That particular file has 3 files EdgeAnimation CC cascading which are selected by questions from the media. I can test the page online, but not in design or mode live view.

As your new page did not plant, which leads me to believe that you have critical errors or conflicts in your other pages.

Try to run your code through the W3C validation tools.

    Also debug JavaScript.

  • CS6 Dreamweaver crashes when inserting... anything

I have been experience this problem frequently. When I use the Insert menu if the menu bar or from the Quick tabs, Dreamweaver pane crashes (in general). It happens with form elements, flash videos, appoint you. There is no error message, just a windows alert telling me that Dreamweaver CS6 has encountered a problem and needs to close. Verifies the solution and fails.

So did someone else encountered this? I don't know even where to start, because there is no warning pounce by DW, and it stops responding or the other. It just work for the dead.

    Thank you

You use the DW Extensions?  You can turn them off in your Extensions Manager to dismiss them as possible culprits.  New launch DW.

If this does not help, try to delete your Cache and/or personal DW Configuration folder.  When restart you DW, it will create new ones for you.
