• Go to the local site, even with different versions of DreamWeaver (CS3 and CC2016)

  I have a need to occasionally change a site with DW CS3 because of a plugin used to LASSO programming. But I would do most of the work in the last DW2016. Is there a problem with access to the same site (local on my Mac) with two different versions of DW? I would like to only access and edit pages with the old version. I know that I could get some weird previews in the old version, but are there other issues should I be aware of?

  No problem I can think of, apart from one slightly different code entry than the other. CS3 will use outdated html attributes for things that later versions use CSS to accomplish (centering text and other). It's still going to work in all major browsers, but the CS3 code won't be to modern standards, if you use it for more than the old extension.

  We were upgraded to Windows 7 XP at work and well as my suite CS3 shows no signs of problems, Dreamweaver has this bug where when I'm browins for a site by using the dialog box file Sites Edia, the settings do not save files above a certain level, for example If I am locate the location of the test for a site server, and that the location is X:\devsites\sites\site4 and the session I dorows to this place and open this SITE4 folder with for, then click ok to select, DW CS3 also does devcites file high-level file desired. I have to manually type the path in the folder of the test server field so that DW CS3 to accept the location. Y at - it no support currently planned bugs in CS3 CS4 is already out?

  Looks like your page is using this style:

  .style6 {size are: large}

  Significant change to 100%; or average;

  Also, make sure that the HTML and CSS code is W3C compliant so that all browsers would display the page almost identically.

  I use Dreamweaver CS3 and have built a certain (low) sites previously so not a perfect beginner, but am totally thrown by my CSS does render does not correctly in a new site I am building.

  I've implemented a new model, all work very well, full CSS included, noticed in the browser ok.

  Then created 2 new pages from this model "Aug.html" and "Oct.html" and recorded the two - both pages contain a link to the other and both preview in the browser on their own.

  However when I click on the link on the page is, not moving no matter what page I start with, the result is the same, the new page that opens seems to forget half of the CSS, div completely and links are back to blue and underlined, everything is changed as if there is no CSS at all.

  Why does the CSS work here? I've never had this problem before, the CSS is simple, I have about 6 div contains everything, including a #wrapper. the body tags and one: links preview all fine until I click and the new page that opens loses its CSS. There is no accessibility / compatibility or upcoming issues.

  Please help - have tried a lot of different things, now I'm completely lost! I know it must be simple, but I really can't find a reason why, really need help with this.

  You need to refer to what happens when you PREVIEW a page in DW, is - that correct?  In other words, get you an overview of the page, click on the link to page B and page B will appear without the CSS - correct?  Here's why-

  Your link to the style sheet is a link to the ROOT (see the first "/"?).  When loading the B page after clicking on the link in the first page, it tells the browser to find the style sheet to "C:/2012LG_CSS.css" because the browser has NO idea where the root of the site DW is and assumes that the root in the link refers to the root of the hard drive.  Normally, you would not use relative links root, unless there is a good reason to do so-in your case, I am sure that you do not have.  Edit this link to a document a relative, i.e.

  and things work much better.

  In General, it is not a good idea to click outside any page viewed when using DW.

  I have a very big problem with a model. I'm on Dreamweaver CS3 and my model was created in Dreamweaver 8 and it says in parentheses (xhtml) - even if all my model pages are html.
  When I do now even the smallest change (even adding one letter) to my model or when I try to create a new page in this model, the resulting pages have missing images (my banner at the top), but the real model seems perfect.   I remember I actually had this problem once before and I do not have it in Dreamweaver 8, but I'm not sure of my recollection.

  No doubt a HUGE bug with Dreamweaver CS3. I rebooted Dreamweaver 8 and my problem went away.
  PS: Yes, for those who have read the entire thread, there was a problem on the line (my customer deleted some image files), but my problem was completely independent. It's on my machine - before you download files.

  I would like to know if there is a way to transfer all my saved settings (info by FTP access, extracts, etc.), from one computer to the other. I use Dreamweaver CS3 and will soon buy a new computer. It's a simple matter to copy a folder based on the App, or something is more complex? Windows Vista 32 bit

  CS3 is well outside the 'window of support' where recording would have mattered.

  If the serial number has been accepted, there is nothing to worry about, as far as going to the trial period. It will not be stopped after 30 days without registering. Registration had nothing to do with how the product worked.

  I never registered CS3 or CS4 and up to a little more than a year, when I finally deleted them for good, they were installed without problem.

  $75 is in the "too good to be true" price range. Make sure that you run a solid a-squared Anti-virus program, in case you've been duped by one of the many swindlers eBay there sell software cracked in legitimate appearance package.

  I coded a site in Dreamweaver CS3 and after that I downloaded via automatic download, everything goes perfectly well until I discovered the site online through Internet Explorer. Thanks to all other browsers, the website is fine ie, Firefox, iron for PC and Mac etc.. It's just the PC Internet Explorer that displays the actual code.

  Do not use mailto for a form action - it is not completely reliable. You must obtain a form mail script. Start by checking with your host. Who can usually provide you with a script that works with your hosting plan.

  I am a new user of Dreamweaver CS3 and want to build a Web site that was created in Frontpage 2003 in re-making in Dreamweaver. I noticed that there are Dreamweaver extensions for older versions of Dreamweaver CS3 and don't know if there are for CS3. If there is no easy conversion or conversion means continue to use the FP, I would probably download all current pages and start over with DW.
  
  Unfamiliar with DW extensions, they are available for CS3/FP and their use, rather than start over, would mean, I would appreciate it any info and suggestions that can help me to make the decision.
