Dreamweaver CS3 bug with models?

Hello
I have a very big problem with a model. I'm on Dreamweaver CS3 and my model was created in Dreamweaver 8 and it says in parentheses (xhtml) - even if all my model pages are html.
When I do now even the smallest change (even adding one letter) to my model or when I try to create a new page in this model, the resulting pages have missing images (my banner at the top), but the real model seems perfect. You can actually see example of a page on a test to the http://ww2.itrak.com/iTRAKnouveau/ Web site
I remember I actually had this problem once before and I do not have it in Dreamweaver 8, but I'm not sure of my recollection.
Unfortunately, this time I can not access Dreamweaver 8 more... I really hope someone can solve this one with me!
Christine

No doubt a HUGE bug with Dreamweaver CS3. I rebooted Dreamweaver 8 and my problem went away.
PS: Yes, for those who have read the entire thread, there was a problem on the line (my customer deleted some image files), but my problem was completely independent. It's on my machine - before you download files.

Dreamweaver CS3 is a very old program. 8 full behind versions. It is likely that the DW FTP is obsolete and does not support connections to the host.

  • Dreamweaver CS3 problem with small fonts

    Hello

I'm having a problem with the text that appears REALLY SMALL and illegible in CS3, when he seemed fine in Dw8. It seems equally well in all browsers.

I talked to Adobe technical support, and they said something about my CSS file is not wrong. I looked, and nothing seems out of the ordinary.

If it's a problem with my CSS file, would not look bad in the browser, so?

    Any suggestions?

    Ron

    Ron,

Thanks for the example file. It's a bit complicated, so please bear
    with me.

Up to DW8, DW making always targeted the most popular browser
This time. For DW8, who was IE6. Traditionally, the most popular
browser was the most popular because it was the best browser, but which
is no longer valid. Thus, DW CS3 now target CSS 2.1. Note that DW
not compatible with all of the CSS 2.1 specification, but what it supports following
    the spec.

Your page doesn't have a DOCTYPE, so it renders in "quirks" mode in the
browsers that I tested on WinXP (FF2, IE7, Opera9). DW renders
This page in IE6, but DW CS3 quirks mode can't stand anymore in quirks mode.
Put a DOCTYPE that is similar to the following in your page to see what I mean:

The reason for which the font is so small is because of font size
    property to this rule:

    TD {}
    FONT-SIZE: 80%;
    }

Your page has 4 levels of nested deep tables, so the 80% is made to the
each level. I fixed that in DW CS3 by creating a stylesheet with this rule:

    TD {FONT-SIZE: 100%! important ;}}

and applied it as a design-TIME Style sheet, you can be
able to remove the 80% in total.

    Hope this helps,
    Randy

  • Please HELP - problem with 2 fixed column of the model Dreamweaver CS3

I am creating a website using the 2 column fixed, no sidebar, header and footer template html in Dreamweaver CS3.  I tried to put a photo in the right side bar as well as in the part main content or to the left of the page, and no image is displayed when I view it in any of the browsers I use.

I did some only minor changes in the colors and sizes, but other than that, no other changes.  The pic that I put in the header appears perfectly fine.

Any help or advice for this problem would be greatly appreciated.

  • Problem with links in Dreamweaver CS3 site root

I have problems with the links from the root of the site when I'm working on my localhost with Dreamweaver CS3.

I'm building a site with PHP, MySQL using the WAMP server. I have a page (www.site.com/index.php) I want to copy in the subdirectories (e.g. www.site.com/about/index.php) then I want to do the copy as painless as possible by using the links from the site root (e.g. /about/index.php). It works on the internet but NOT on localhost.

Why is this? What can we do? Is there a fix if it is a bug? This seems like a simple thing, but it's such a problem.

    > Why is it?

Because when your (local) server see is you run to the
ROOT, he goes to ITS root, and rather than the Web site root (for example, htdocs or Inetpub).
You can work around this by using virtual hosts (google it).

Hi, I wanted to ask if anyone knows if Contribute CS4 will work with Dreamweaver CS3?

I take it for granted that it will, I have a mac and will create a website with Dreamweaver CS3 and while the customer who has a PC buy Contribute CS4, it will work fine or do I need to create the site with a PC?

Also contribute to CS4 works with models DW CS3.

I just logined here and I think I met a problem when you use my Dreamweaver CS3. I can't use the 'draw the layout table (layout only model)' and 'Draw the layout cell (model layout only)' funtion. I am new to Dreamweaver, but I used Dreamweaver for several months... I can use these functions in Dreamweaver 8.0 to do the same work...

I just need a few ideas you can support for me how I can use the funtion... maybe something wrong with my registration?
But I don't know where I can find the problem. Maybe the components of the draw layout table and draw layout cell have been lost or broken?

Help me!! Lack of these futions has troubled my work so long... I really need you help me to deal with these problems.

Now I use a system of Windows Xp SP2 (Simplified Chinese). I am a Chinese, who now live in China. Maybe I can't use English to express what I mean, but I think I made clear my boredom...

This is because you are working in table view Standard in DW8, but in
    CS3 page layout mode.

Avoid mode layout completely. Try to VIEW | Table Mode > Standard Mode...

  • Weird bug with DC model spawning

    Hi all!

Here's a weird bug with DC model spawning that I am struggling to solve.

I do my development in Adobe Pro XI.

I recently had some complaints from users saying model spawning would not work in Adobe DC.

I installed DC Adobe reader and found this weird bug

I created a simple PDF to illustrate.

    1. PDF has hidden the model named "RawDataPage".
    2. PDF has 6 pages at the beginning
    3. First page contains 4 buttons.
    4. 1 button adds 1 model after page 6, 2 button adds 2 models after page 6 and so on
    5. Close the PDF without saving the changes after clicking a button, just observe spawning
    6. You can find PDF files and screenshots to dropbox link https://www.dropbox.com/sh/qap5j5tzyomrlxw/AABGFv6Z0jGKE62SO6pgy2YSa?dl=0
    7. I'll update a shared folder to the arrival of the information
    8. find out all the code js inline below

A fix is available for this bug. With the help of Acrobat | Release notes | DC Acrobat, Acrobat Reader DC | Update and download the ' patch '.

  • Can I work with html5 in Dreamweaver CS3?

I would like to work with html5 and stay with my CS3 application... I got to a page on my search, a page of old, but never less - Adobe Releases HTML5 Pack also old Dreamweaver CS3 or CS4 - get your HTML5 Pack also on Dreamweaver CS3-CS5

The link takes me to the page of the add-on Adobe, doesn't seem to be there and the search doesn't bring anything? Is it still available...

    Thank you

I don't think so. It was unnecessary for her after CS6 came out b/c, that all that has been integrated into the software. If you work in Code view and you have no waiting for HTML5, food label code tips, etc... You can work with the HTML5 code in any editor.  Do not expect CS3 to make in Design view.

The Essential Guide to Dreamweaver CS3 with CSS, Ajax, and PHP by David powers:

This book would help me learn more about Spry and Ajax and how applications may be lodged with them, if I have my e-commerce site works on a compiled C code cart (ShopSite) but supports scripts PHP server-side or is - this only for shopping carts based on PHP itself (like X-Cart)?

I'm not sure. Someone please let me know if I can buy this book. Thank you.

You don't need no prior knowledge of PHP or Ajax, but you must
know the basics of HTML and CSS. As I say in the introduction, "You."
don't need to be an expert, but do not have a curious mind.
It teaches the basics of web site design, or he's trying to list
each unique feature in Dreamweaver CS3. There are many other books
to fill this gap. However, by working through this book, you will gain a
in-depth knowledge of the most important features of Dreamweaver.

The book provides detailed coverage of the features of Spry 1.4
Dreamweaver CS3, which can be applied to any site. With minor
adjustment, you can also use Spry 1.6. It is important to realize,
However, the features of Spry/Ajax in Dreamweaver CS3 * cover of no
asynchronous requests to the server. The ability to communicate
asynchronously with the server has been added in Spry 1.6. If it has
the asynchronous server calls and answers you are looking for, your
programmer will need to dig into the documentation for Spry 1.6 on the
Adobe Labs site and manually code it.

The Spry features covered in the book are Spry, Spry UI widgets effects
(menu accordion, tabbed and folding panels), Spry
Widgets of validation and Spry XML data sets.

Yes. All Spry techniques can be used on any web page. This is not
you have to be a PHP one.

  • Dreamweaver cs3 - CSS not made when opening pages - please help!

I use Dreamweaver CS3 and have built a certain (low) sites previously so not a perfect beginner, but am totally thrown by my CSS does render does not correctly in a new site I am building.

I've implemented a new model, all work very well, full CSS included, noticed in the browser ok.

Then created 2 new pages from this model "Aug.html" and "Oct.html" and recorded the two - both pages contain a link to the other and both preview in the browser on their own.

However when I click on the link on the page is, not moving no matter what page I start with, the result is the same, the new page that opens seems to forget half of the CSS, div completely and links are back to blue and underlined, everything is changed as if there is no CSS at all.

Why does the CSS work here? I've never had this problem before, the CSS is simple, I have about 6 div contains everything, including a #wrapper. the body tags and one: links preview all fine until I click and the new page that opens loses its CSS. There is no accessibility / compatibility or upcoming issues.

Please help - have tried a lot of different things, now I'm completely lost! I know it must be simple, but I really can't find a reason why, really need help with this.

    Thank you...

However when I click on the link on the page is, not moving no matter what page I start with, the result is the same, the new page that opens seems to forget half of the CSS, div completely and links are back to blue and underlined, everything is changed as if there is no CSS at all.

You need to refer to what happens when you PREVIEW a page in DW, is - that correct?  In other words, get you an overview of the page, click on the link to page B and page B will appear without the CSS - correct?  Here's why-

Your link to the style sheet is a link to the ROOT (see the first "/"?).  When loading the B page after clicking on the link in the first page, it tells the browser to find the style sheet to "C:/2012LG_CSS.css" because the browser has NO idea where the root of the site DW is and assumes that the root in the link refers to the root of the hard drive.  Normally, you would not use relative links root, unless there is a good reason to do so-in your case, I am sure that you do not have.  Edit this link to a document a relative, i.e.

    and things work much better.

In General, it is not a good idea to click outside any page viewed when using DW.

  • Dreamweaver cs3 will not register

    Hi all

I recently bought a copy of dreamweaver cs3 and everything went smoothly until the end where you must register the product and he says 'we are unable to connect to Adobe to regret your product.

    1.I have internet connection

    2 java script enabled

    3. I clicked on the button register.

    How to solve this problem?

    Thank you for your time!

CS3 is well outside the 'window of support' where recording would have mattered.

If the serial number has been accepted, there is nothing to worry about, as far as going to the trial period. It will not be stopped after 30 days without registering. Registration had nothing to do with how the product worked.

I never registered CS3 or CS4 and up to a little more than a year, when I finally deleted them for good, they were installed without problem.

$75 is in the "too good to be true" price range. Make sure that you run a solid a-squared Anti-virus program, in case you've been duped by one of the many swindlers eBay there sell software cracked in legitimate appearance package.

I'm trying to restore my Dreamweaver site designed in Dreamweaver CS3 after installing a new operating system (now Windows 7). I have re-installed the Dreamweaver CS3 software, so that now all my files are no longer in the right management of Dreamweaver Panel. My site as a whole is saved on a hard drive. It seems that one should be able to import GOLD, even reglisser the entire site (all files) to the existence in the right panel. My 900 + pages manual says nothing about this work. My server host (HostGator) has me download FileZilla for help, yet, so I'm not a computer person will have a difficult time to get more. Anyone have any experience with that can offer assistance? It would be most appreciated. Thank you!

Go to Site > new Site > DW to tell it where your Site on your hard drive folder.

    Example: C:\YourSiteName.  See screenshot.

In addition, you will need to reference installation log in FTP to your server.
