  If you mean that you want only installed CS5 is possible.  Just install CS5 and when you go to turn it on, after you enter a valid serial CS5 number you will be asked to identify the eligible product (CS4 in your case), and then to provide the serial number for CS4 as proof that you qualify for the use of the CS5 upgrade.

  CS2 product activation has been abandoned, but you can use your old serial number as a serial number eligible for CS4.

  You are entitled to replacements for CS2, but do not use the upgraded replacement for CS4 serial numbers, I don't think they will work.

  The CS/CS2 activation servers have been removed. Download CS2 and use the new number given to the right of the download link.

  I wonder how you have two versions with the same serial number? Maybe volume license?

  In the world of individual license an upgrade from versions CS4 CS5 would get a new number again, at least in my experience. With regard to the installation of multiple versions (but not different locations, such as the United States and TO the same version) no problem and I often open several versions at the same time to test and answereing questions here on the forum.

  If you have problems to reactivate your software and have no way to disable its previous installations, while the only way to do it is to contact Adobe customer service / technical support, which, with luck, can work on it at their end.

  I recently bought a new laptop with Windows 8.  I'm a private person who manages three sites using Dreamweaver CS4, one for a school and two nonprofit organization...  Local display contains all of the files on my disk instead of only the files in the files belonging to each Web site.

  Is this a compatibility issue?

  When you configure the Local root folder, make sure that DW is to put the right way. I know that there is a glitch in DWCS4 that would essentially "on upward directory" folder even if you asking in the right place and click OK. (until a few weeks ago, I was still using DWCS4 and fought this issue whenever I made a new site)

  Go to your site broken using Site definition > Manage Sites > change

  Click the Advanced tab

  Look at the text file box root Local. That's where DWCS4 love missing his shot upward. If the root folder of your site was supposed to be C:\Users\yourname\Desktop\Folder1 it will probably show C:\Users\yourname\Desktop instead. You should be able to change this manually by adding appropriate after the folder name.

  Otherwise, the way to fix when you make a new site is to navigate to the correct location, twice when adding the local root folder in the Site definition process. Usually, he'll get the correct location on the second attempt.

  Hi there, I know it's small but I was wondering if we could have it fixed for CS6. CS3 < were very good with that because they had no custon UI, but CS4 was bad, and CS5 is a little better, but still bad.

  If this small UI error could be fixed, it would much appreciated! I also noticed that the version of CS5 Mac doesn't have this it seems.

  It is not an error of the user interface: is that the width of the palette changed because it is grouped with the other palettes that are wider.

  Happened in older versions, so if you grouped the palette with other palettes, changed the width of the pallet, or changed the point of view of witnesses or used a localized version that needed more space for the palette.

  I'm testing my new/first site.  I use Dreamweaver CS4. Horizontal Spry menu bar works very well in Internet Explorer and Safari, but not in Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.2 for Mac 5.2.3 (5815.1). The menu bar horizontal becomes vertical and the submenus are not available. I ran to each Web page and my CSS files browser compatibility tests and they don't come back "no problems found".   Don't worry if your site doesn't work at all in Internet Explorer for Mac.  It's outdated software that has not been developed since Jaguar/Panther.  In no way reflects IE on Windows, and statistics show the majority of Mac users use Safari or Firefox with Camino and opera in behind them.

• Launch Dreamweaver CS4 and open a specific site

  One of my stumbling blocks from GoLive to Dreamweaver CS4 9 is to find a way to open a specific site at launch of Dreamweaver.  GoLive has a "name.site" file that contains site specific information.  Double click that GoLive site file launches GoLive (or switches to the currently running application) and in fact the current/first site plan of the site.

  With Dreamweaver, I can click twice on a page of a site and launch Dreamweaver.  However, the active site of Dreamweaver is one that has been active at the end of the last session of Dreamweaver.

  Is there a way to launch Dreamweaver to automatically open a specific site?
