  I have crossed former disscussion forums and followed the recommended steps by removing the file .xml corrupted itself (in this case 'Classic.xml') but imidiatly after when I try to open Dreamweaver once again, I am prompted with the same fatal error including the file that I just deleted. Then I deleted the entire file configures and that did not help either.

  It is also strange that when I followed the path to find the .xml file corrupted at the prompt, the path is different because I can't find the file 'Classic.xml' through 'en_US\Configuration\Weorkspace' e navigation, but I find the "Classic.xml" file corrupted in the file 'configure' file 'Adobe Dreamweaver CS5.

  Im not sure what to do now and I would really like Dreamweaver to the top and running so help please if you can!

  Step 1: Close DW, go to C:\User\Tyler\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CS5\en_US\Configureation\Workspace\ and delete this file Classic.xml

  Reopen DW. DW must auto-créer your workspace layout XML file once again. See if it works very well.

  GO TO STEP 2, IF STEP 1 DOES NOT RESOLVE THE ISSUE

  Step 2: Go to the C:\Users\Tyler\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CS5\en-US\Configuration and delete the entire folder "SETUP" . Reopen DW. DW should automatically create your configuration file based on pre-defined schemas and configuration options. This will definitely fix your problem.

  Reason for this question: this question would have been caused due to a malformed workspace setup. That can happen due to customizations you have made to the layout / bad permissions of files / bad closing Windows.

  See if these patches does not solve your problem and post your results here.

  I can test the following javascript error (see attached image) when I leave or quit Dreamweaver CS5.5 Mac OS x 10.6.8.

  Any ideas on why this is happening?  This is the first time this has happened.

• Dreamweaver CS5.5 no longer works since the migration to the new iMac. How can I re - install?

  I have a subscription Adobe CC for InDesign, but am still ongoing for Photoshop and Dreamweaver CS5. Recently all migrated to a new iMac running Yosemite, and since then, Dreamweaver does more (no problems with Photoshop). See screen shot of the error message. I thought that the simple answer would be to reinstall but can't figure out how. I don't have an installation disc - CS5.5 was a download. But when I log into my account, Adobe, CS5 products are not listed. I vaguely remember my manager has bought a lot of licenses for us user, and I have a note of the serial numbers.

  If you have the info set, you should be able to use the cleanup tool to remove the program all together (migrating from one machine to another rarely ever works), then download the correct version of Adobe, install and enter your registration information to activate...

  Updated to Yosemite, reinstalled legit CS5 InDesign successfully, need to download the upgrade to 5.5 for the most part "shared content" plugin... the update will not install error 'update is not applicable' w no request an activation code, just moved.   but you can't upgrade to cs5.5.

  You can upgrade to cc or cs6 (money).

  Answer: Dreamweaver does not migrate the self-sites - you must export them before upgrading, and then import them after the upgrade.

  With all these missing files, it would just be easier to re - install DW?  You can re - install a single application of the sequence without affecting the rest.  In addition, local copy of DW same Site definitions are in this configuration file in the library which is obviously absent, so there is really nothing to lose at this point.  See David thread about the location of site definitions ( http://forums.adobe.com/thread/439283 ).

  Before you re - install but I would recommend a repair of the permissions running on your system to make sure that the installer can write there.  Located in disk utility (cmd + space for spotlight and type in disk utility to quickly find).

  The xml file that defines the layout of the workspace has become corrupted.

  Navigate to the file via the path indicated in your message, delete it and restart Dreamweaver.

  I have a pecular problem. I've successfully installed CS5.5 Design Premium. Each product was launched successfully with the exception of Dreamweaver CS5.5. As I tried to run, I saw the start on Dreamweaver CS5.5 screen. Then after that, he disappears and the product has not started at all.

  I tried a few times and it still has the same problem. I have not yet installed my anti-virus to alleviate the problem.
