  A license?  Yes, but not necessarily for the web. Some licenses permit use on paper or images but not the web.

  For legal reasons don't assume that you can use any font you want on the web. Fonts are protected by the intellectual property laws in the same way that software is protected against illegal copy, modify or distribute. In other words, an owner of fonts can of course, saying "you can use my font, but you cannot change it, you can not reproduce and you may not distribute." On the web, which is a deal breaker, because you must be able to do all three.

  I have a Dreamweaver CS6 which was installed stand-alone version on my Mac (OS 10.10.1) for a couple of years now and has worked well. Last year, I joined the creative cloud and got a single subscription to Dreamweaver CC. A week hardly, after 1 year, I cancelled the subscription. I wanted to go back to my old Dreamweaver CS6, but when I launched DW CS6 it grew up the account manager and he wanted me to activate my subscription again. So, through a long process to Adobe customer service, I deleted the application manager. But when I went to the DW CS6 launch, he said that the account manager was missing and impossible to verify the serial number. Then I reinstalled the new account manager to have the same problem occur.  I need to reinstall an OLDER version of the account manager so that it does not have to register again for the subscription of the CC? Is it still possible? Bottom line: how to launch my old DW CS6 stand-alone version without running account manager problems?

  I just installed the trial of Dreamweaver CS6. And I noticed that he always takes 100% of CPU!

  I have disabled the ASSOCIATES FILES, deleted the cache, but it still takes 100% of CPU.

  The CPU down to 0% as soon as I get any menu in Dreamweaver.

  If you have installed the update to Dreamweaver CCM (12.1), you should no longer face this problem. If you have 12.1 update installed and are still facing this problem, let us know. For users who are not on the cloud, Adobe is working on a version that resolves this problem.

  In Dreamweaver CS6, when highlighting a picture and clicking on Edit/Pencil from the properties at the bottom of the Dreamweaver CS6 tab I get the error message below. I used to have Fireworks CS5, but it was removed when I started using Fireworks CS6. As a side note... If I right click on a photo the open with menu comes up with Fireworks appears twice. Neither indicates which version of fireworks, they are, but 1 is Fireworks CS5 and the 2nd is the CS6 Fireworks. Of course the link to Fireworks CS5 does not work because it is so more on my PC.

  I checked my folder by default, and they are all configured to open the CS6 Fireworks... In fact there is nothing in the file Association that says CS5.

  When I work at the CS6 I little work directly on the FTP server. I do not work in a great team, check in and check out is a feature that is lost to us. So I have the Advanced Server settings to automatically download files when I save them. It works pretty well with the exception that Dreamweaver CS6 seems constantly ask the FTP server anyway. Many times I will go to save and it will throw an error that it cannot download the file now because it is currently interacting with the server.

  In Dreamweaver, I have the log open FTP tab and it is just constantly looking for things on the server at random intervals. It is not to download anything or reconnection. I have no problem at all in fact apart from this connection.

  Here is the error for all she's worth. I wouldn't bother even complaining about this, except that it happens to me constantly throughout the day. If it was just once or twice I don't care. The other problem is that when the error occurs, it does not save the file locally which is useless in my case also, but since it signals as saved I have to make a change so that he could register and download. So many times I'm waiting so he could stop to interact with the FTP server for no good reason, adding a space, back space and then hit save again.   I have over a decade of experience with Dreamweaver, ongoing Web-based management of dozens of sites. He certainly had periods when FTP was seriously problematic, even after the CS6 updates where he was supposed to have been fixed. I managed to solve the problem on my production machine main actually two things:

  1. Temporarily disable my firewall and antivirus.
  2. Added the string "ResolveRemoteURLToIPAddress" to "Download Remote" in my registry and affecting false.

  #1 told me that my security software may be panic all level access Dreamweaver and perhaps got its hooks in the software so as to jeopardize this access, which causes delays in the transfer file and synchronize operations.

  #2 has been added to disable the feature to resolve the address IP of Dreamweaver, which caused it to sometimes hang when opening existing documents. This feature is enabled by default in the PC version. I don't know if DW interacts with the server just to open the document, or if it is something that occurs on a basis continues. If the latter, then it could be the cause of a lot of frustration "interacting with a server" for many users.   Dreamweaver is not as effective for as a standalone application FTP file transfers, because it is programmed to keep track of all the files and folders at any time and take notes of the same thing. For this reason, I always have a FTP program open when I'm working. Having said that, the difficulty of recording, in conjunction with several combinations of firewall and antivirus applications allowed me to find a solution that little close to put an end to my problems of FTP of DW.

  The only way to buy Adobe's Dreamweaver CS6 is by calling the Adobe store (the number depends on which country you live). Sales agents will not sell Dreamweaver CS6, if you use an operating system later than Windows 7 or Mac OS X 10.7. This is because the software is not certified for future versions of Windows or Mac.

  Although you can buy a "perpetual license" for CS6, "perpetual" part just means that you will not have to pay a subscription fee to use the program. This does NOT mean that the program is guaranteed to work forever. In fact, it probably won't. Adobe has clearly stated that CS6 will never be updated, if you buy software which is already obsolete and that has a limited lifetime.

  If you do not want to pay a subscription for the creative cloud (or can't afford it), you might be better off with media, which is software free editor HTML/CSS created by Adobe.
