Drive DVD SD-R6472 and SP 6000 boot problem

I've recently updated to an engraver of DVD SD-R6472, however I find that I can't have my SP to boot with the DVD player committed. If I pop him to hunt and start the machine, then pop in diving bed and written discs without problem. Have any suggests as to how I can get my laptop to boot with the disc so that I can boot from a CD?

I am running Windows 2000 and have applied the latest version of the BIOS.

Hello

It's a very bad situation. In my opinion, this disc is not compatible with your device and it is not recognized by the BIOS at the beginning upward. Problem is that every car is unable to be used with all units. You're lucky that you can use with the operating system

The only thing you can try is to find a more recent firmware, but if you use it, you will lose your warranty drive if the drive is a new. Sorry, but in my opinion there nothing to do.

Good bye

  • Tecra S10 - 123 and Linux Mandriva boot problem

I have a Tecra S10 - 123 for two months and wanted to install Mandriva on it (I have no experience with Linux...). I burn the Image on Cd image .iso file and changed the bios settings to boot from the CD-ROM. It works without problem, but Mandriva stops to boot from the Live Cd once the kernel is loaded.

    What can I do?

Maybe it's a SATA question, have you tried to set the SATA Mode in the BIOS to "COMPATIBILITY"?

Work the other flavors of Linux? Maybe Ubuntu will install properly.

    Hi people,

Recently my laptop w8 shared with my brother get sick. So I decided to get out the trusty old diagnosis

USB and dvd, you know, ubcd centos ophrack. Much to my dismay, I couldn't start any of them. So after some faffing

everything on the net, I was able to boot/secure boot / disabled, which meant I could f12 at startup in the Boot Manager.

Unfortunately, the drama is over. Kindly listed boot manager internal hard drive, but not bootable usb or dvd connected.  so I thought, I'm going to be cunning and change the boot order of start. Yet once the monster of Bios Acer jeeringly laughed at my attempts to

take control of the material, I dared try control simply because I happened to pay a substantial amount of money to acer.

So, it seems, the only option I have left to change is boot/boot mode / (boot uefi/legacy). So what I need to change to restore the boot control, is to change legacy BIOS uefi? Who will install the w8 cack?

Also what happens if I want to replace the hard drive with an ssd in the near future, is not not to work?

Oh, I tried to get help from the enamel of acer, their response said essentially bios/uefi is isn't a problem acer because it is sw and realized

    Select Samsung

    Samsung Recovery Solution

  • Long boot time and the gel boot drive selection window

Hello. I have a problem with my MacBook Pro 13 retina "(2015 at the beginning).

My mac is about 4 minutes of cranking up about a quarter of the time and it is not related to the problem of the "boot disk select parameters. The computer just hangs before it's anything related to the start-up procedure. It's just a black screen with no interaction with the mouse, no noise and no keyboard input. It does not recognize the 'option key ' (used to get into the disk boot selector) until I pressed it for several minutes, and then the boot drive selector freezes as well.

I don't have any external drives connected, and already tried SMC reset, reset the PRAM and reinstalling the operating system (normal wipe and wipe any partition).

I always have Apple Care left. Help, please. Thank you.

    Hi Herojeff02:

It seems that you have some SSD problems.

Have you tried to boot safe mode. Try safe mode if your Mac does not commissioning - Apple Support

You can start in recovery mode by pressing command + R and then using disk utility to check your SSD.

See the following links: OS X: on OS X Recovery - Apple Support

Resolve startup issues and perform maintenance on disk with disk utility and fsck - Apple Support

If you have Apple Care, I'd do an appointment at the Genius Bar. It could also be a hardware problem.

In Device Manager, open the Properties window for the drive, and then click the driver tab, then update driver...  Click the search selection automatically. If it finds a driver, let it install.

If the drive still cycles, then you can have a bad drive. If it is still under warranty, contact the place of repair for repair or replacement.

  • 23 - a305a Pavilion all-in-one: call for support of HP in Australia / driver DVD replaced and broken again

    Hello

Does anyone know a phone number for HP support in Australia? I got to a page on the site saying call within hours of opening, but I can't find a number anywhere.

If anyone knows how to get my DVD driver is working again, it would be even better. He works for a period of time when a DVD is inserted, and then abandoned. The DVD player does not detect the DVD and he himself is more listed as devices and drivers.

I had the computer 18 months. I had the same problem there (when it was still under warranty) of 12 months and ultimately, a technician is out and replaced the DVD drive. It worked well between yesterday and today but now the alternative driver seems to have developed the same problem. That is why I would call HP to discuss.

    Thank you

Contact HP Australia via one of the methods on the HP web document to the address following.

    http://WWW8.HP.com/au/en/contact-HP/contact.html

Use of the DVD drive (optical drive) have a driver. It uses the firmware just like a hard drive. What you are experiencing, is probably the firmware or controller failure in the hardware of the optical drive.

  • Boot with Win7 32 bit and Satellite L450-36 problems

A friend has a laptop Toshiba Satellite L450-36 Windows 7 32-bit which he thinks has been hit by a Virus. He went to use the laptop a few weeks 3 + ago and concluded that it would not initialize. Now, he has 3 daughters who, before this problem, much used YouTube and say that they were able to see updates Adobe Flash Player appear on the screen at regular intervals, but they have deleted the. When he came to talk about the problem for me, I offered to watch the machine that I have some disks that can cure or at least let me save records Paragon Rescue Kit, Avira Anti Virus Rescue Disk, AVG Rescue Disk & others.

When I turn on the machine I get a screen with boot Toshiba Leading Innovation one
Press [F2] for INSTALLATION, press [F12] to the lower boot device selection menu. I leave the machine in operation and a window pops up let me the choice of {HD1}, , , but nothing happens when I select one, then I stop the machine and start again, this time by pressing F2 which takes me into the BIOS. I put in a cd, Paragon Rescue Kit 11, arrived on the BIOS and the CD starts. I did the same thing with the Avira Anti Virus system and it found 4 infections. He then lets me copy all my friend (s) files on an external hard drive, which allows me to complete objectives.

I started the Recovery CD/DVD Toshiba product and I get a Windows loading files message followed by a bar of Microsoft Corporation loading under him and then there is a black screen with a cursor on it. I did the same thing with a system Windows 7 32-bit repair disc and get the same result black screen empty.

I am retired and to my knowledge has been gained since the Commodore 64 days, then Amiga and PC now, but it isn't enough for me to fix this problem. I found very frustrating to be able to use a Linux program and see all the programs on the PC, but not actually being able to restart it, and start them! I could probably Boot & Nuke the hard drive, but my friend wasn't t provided with a disc of Windows 7 o/s system couldn t so re-installed without buying again.

I would be very grateful for any advice on how to get rid of the HD1/FLOPPY/NEXT HD window and a solution for the portable computer so that it starts properly. I took pictures of different screens on the laptop that I could pass if they would help.

In my opinion, you should remove the HARD drive and connect it to another computer and perform low level set in shape and just delete everything. You can use a tool like this and after doing this put back and try to install the original recovery image using the recovery disk.

In the past I ve never had these problems, but I think it's the best way to remove all the viruses or malicious applications.
Test it and thanks for posting comments.

  • Satellite C660: message: reboots and select good boot device

    Hello

I dropped the laptop today literally a few inches from the ground, it slipped from my hand as I was placing it on the ground. He fell flat.

Now I see the message "reboot and select proper boot device."

I tried a few different options that I read, and I see the HARD drive in the BIOS F2 thing or whatever it is called. If it is recognized, but I can't seem to move in the message. Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance.

PS I will need clear instructions, I'm not stupid, but I need to explain. I don't understand some of the pieces.

    Thank you

    Hello

I think that your HARD drive is bad.
I think that you have not checked it correctly in the BIOS.

Please go to BIOS once more, by pressing F2.
Now on the first page, you will see date, time, details of CD/DVD drive and you should also see the details of the disk (size, name)
    You see that?

Otherwise, the HARD disk is not initialized by the BIOS and this means that, because of the fall, the HARD disk has been damaged.
