  • Equium A80: pin 45 and 47 to weld on a non compatible drive - Solution

This info is for those who had problems with there readers.

My dvd drive does not work so I'm a new Pioneer one. This has much more assured that the drive provided with the satellite A80. But the pioneer played very jerky way DVD. It was of course because DMA was not enabled and allow him to anything I could do. I have changed the registry event is done everything to nothing.

The reason seems to be that the Pioneer dvr - k16 is set to CSEL and view of the A80 seems to be ' cable select wots that! The solution was to weld the PIN 45 and 47 together on the pioneer who forces "master" mode.

It's VERY tricky to solder and you invalidate all warranties. However the pioneer now works incredibly well.

    I'm glad I did.

Thanks for the info, but like you said this procedure would eliminate the guarantee and perhaps soldering pins could damage the drive (if anyone has any experience).
So I think that the best way is to buy a compatible player and do not set pins.

  • Solved! Driver solution Windows 7 for HP Color LaserJet 3550

I did get the printer HP Color LaserJet 3550n (3550 family) printer to be installed in Win7.  This printer is the only thing that do not start with Win7. In the printers and devices window, I tried troubleshooting, but it was a problem with the DOT4USB drivers. Similarly for the others, I managed with the following solution:

    (1) went to HP and downloaded the Vista 32-bit drivers for the 3550, the unpacking to C:\HP CLJ3550\, as suggested by the driver file.

    (2) devices printers & a

    (3) I chose the first 'device function' so .

    (4) I selected the second and third function (which were and and did the ...) for each.

    (5) I disconnected the USB to the printer, I went back to devices & Printers and selected .

    (6) I chose and installed the printer.

    (7) it wouldn't work unless I "let" Windows makes the default printer

    (8) after that it was over, I did on my favorite printer and selected, and everything worked.

    Thank you
    your advice really helped.

assign a default value for the first floor help really.

Only one extra thing is that on the main pc, you must install the driver for a new printer that should be default and a new share name.

Then on another pc with 64-bit windows find the printer and install the 64-bit driver seperatelly.

in this case, everything is perfect.

  • Have a Canon EOS 20 d. My EOS Digital Solution Disk won't work. How can I download it?

Have a Canon EOS 20 d. My EOS Digital solution disk will not work.  How do I download this software somewhere? It is not available on the list of Canon software. Can I use this software for Canon EOS 40 d?  Help.

Yes, the DPP 3.14.x coming on the 40 d Solutions disk download should work with your 20 d.

So I would say download the new drive solutions from the 40 d page. It won't ask you your serial number

number. The series 20 d should work. But if not you can use your 40 d serial number, so you should

    be defined. :-)

    See you soon,.

  • Can I add an additional hard drive storage?

A 40 GB hard drive, I installed in my computer and I would like to know what would be the best practice to install an additional hard drive?

A 40 GB hard drive, I installed in my computer and I would like to know what would be the best practice to install an additional hard drive?

    Basically, you have two choices:

    1. install a second hard drive (only possible if your computer has physical space for this)

    2. replace your 40 GB with a bigger drive.

If you add or replace, there are two important factors you need to consider size and interface type.  Most laptops use 2.5-inch disks.  Most of office/towers use 3.5-inch disks.  There are several different hard drive interfaces, and you get a drive that has the same interface as your computer.

Most older computers use the Parallel ATA interface (PATA or sometimes simply ATA).  These discs are also called IDE disks.  There are several variations, but those generally available today is the Ultra ATA66 IDE / ATA - 5, Ultra ATA100 IDE / ATA - 6 and the Ultra ATA133 IDE / ATA-7.  The numbers refer to the data transfer rate.  No matter the data transfer capacity of the disc, however, your actual data transfer rates will be limited by your motherboard.  Finally, you'll notice an RPM rating and a size of "cache".  For the performance, in general, the higher these numbers the better the performance.

Number of computers more recent uses the interface Serial ATA (SATA).  There are three versions of the present.  SATA-1 (1.5 Gbps), SATA-2 (3 Gbps) and SATA-3 (6 Gbps).  However, given that you currently have a 40 GB drive, it is strong enough to bet that you have NOT of SATA.

Another interface is SCSI.  You have probably not SCSI.

The starting point is by identifying the brand and model of your computer.  If you have a desktop/Tower computer, you can buy almost any hard drive, that you like; laptops can be a bit more picky.  A good resource for readers (once you know what you want) is newegg.com  Drive Solutions offer one advice that should tell you what players are compatible with your computer.

If you choose to replace rather than add them, you will need to 'clone' of your existing to the new drive.  To do this, you will need appropriate software.  Sometimes, the software basic disk of cloning comes with the disk (remember to read the product description or email/call the seller before you buy).  Sometimes, it is available as a free download from the manufacturer of the drive (for example, if you buy a Western Digital drive, WD has "Acronis True Image WD Edition Software").  Or you can get your own copy of various applications of cloning, some are free, but more for sale.

If you replace a laptop (or a drive in a desktop/tower with no computer available drive Bay), you can buy an external hard drive enclosure.  There are a variety of them.  Just be sure to get one with the internal interface correctly to match the drive and an external interface that is compatible with your computer (usually, USB 2.0).  External hard disk enclosure are sometimes comes with disk cloning software.  And, once your new drive is in place and functioning satisfactorily, you can put the old drive in the box and erase (format) it and use it as a backup drive.

Above sounds a lot more complicated than it is.  You will probably find even the process YouTube videos, if you look at.

  • How to load the driver scanner for HP color LaserJet 2840 via ethernet

I am trying to load the scanner driver for HP color LaserJet 2840 via the network. When I got to the driver download page, I have two choices. We're driver HP color LaserJet 2820/2840 PCL6, the other is HP color LaserJet 2820/2840 PCL6 Plug and scan/print driver Solution play I don't know which I should choose. So I downloaded both.

Then I followed the instructions on this page... http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&taskId=115&prodSeriesId=. I have correctly installed the driver HP color LaserJet 2820/2840 PCL6. But I do not know if the driver drives the scanner. And I could not print any test page either. I don't know if I installed this driver properly.

But when I tried to follow the instructions to install the driver HP color LaserJet 2820/2840 PCL6 Plug and scan/print driver Solution play, I was confused when I tried to select the .inf file. There are a lot of .inf files in the directory. I had no idea which one I should choose. Also, I tried to run the EZInstall.exe, but it seems to only support direct connection via USB and not via the network.

Could someone help me with this? Please let me know which version of the driver should choose, and how do I load this driver.

    Thank you!!

One supports network connections, the other being a pilot plug-and-play (PnP) is configured to initialize and works with a USB connection.

Let me know if makes you better in the right direction.

  • Need printer driver HP laserjet 2100 for a Windows 7-64 bits of the operating system on your laptop Lenovo x 230.

No device driver is available on the HP site.  I have another Lenovo x220i running windows 7 (64-bit) that has loaded a driver laserjet 2100 and fine prints to this old workhorse printer.  I called HP and they are confused.

Hoping to finally put an end to this old question:

    1. don't get no drivers download driver at random sites.  You don't know what you really get and can end up with malware.

    2. many older HP printers, you can use the 'universal' HP driver (LIST OF PRINTERS supported), but I predict that you won't like it - if you can actually get to install.  Personally, I only use the universal driver HP as an absolute last resort.  See the Feature Guide and universal print driver Solution

    Download HP UPD--> http://www8.hp.com/us/en/solutions/business-solutions/printingsolutions/UPD.html?jumpid=af_s73wr2vct6

    3. if HP indicates that you can use the driver supplied with Windows 7, and then follow the advice of happyraver98 and use the "Windows Update" button in the appropriate window in the "Add printer" Wizard

    4. If like happyraver98 you rather not wait long enough time that takes to Windows Update to download print drivers additional, use Internet Explorer (only) and pass to the catalog Microsoft Update to find and download your driver: http://catalog.update.microsoft.com/v7/site/Search.aspx?q=hp%20laserjet%202100

Important: there are probably 2 or 3 entries that seem to be the same; You must open and determine the 'architecture' for which the driver is intended.

    X 86 = 32 bits

    Amd64 = 64 bit

IA64 = Intel Itanium 64-bit (not very common; for example, used for the XP Pro x 64 edition)

The drivers downloaded from the Microsoft Update Catalog is not as easy to install the drivers from the manufacturer of the printer (HP), is through the Add Printer Wizard.  As a general rule, you will download a *. CAB file.  You then extract the files inside of the *. CAB file using something like 7-zip or WinRAR.  Then run the Add Printer Wizard, click on the 'Disk' button, navigate to the folder where you extracted the contents of the *. CAB file and select the *.inf file.

  • MacBook Pro 2012 does not SSD

    Hello

So a few months ago, I upgraded my MacBook Pro (13-inch, mid-2012, OS X 10.10.5) with a SSD Samsung 850 Evo. Things were much faster and the other Corsair CMSA16GX3M2A1600C11 Apple Mac 16 GB (2x8GB) was also nice.

One day, the Macbook has no more SSD, start repair of OS X and reinstalling did not help. If at start up the Mac, then applications suddenly crash randomly.

Strangely, exchanging for 500 GB disk drive factory solves all problems.

In addition, I can boot OS X from the SSD via USB3, but internally it does not work.

I tried different SSD from Apple, Sandisk and Samsung, which were to be properly formatted or have OS X installed, but the Macbook simply does not accept them and either shows a blank screen or screen issue/question mark. With a support boot utility disk sometimes recognize them and sometimes not. The internal SATA cable has also been replaced by about 5 different cables, but that has not solved the problem. Replace the RAM, unplug the various components such as Superdrive or Trackpad as well.

I can use the Macbook Pro normally but being prevented from using a SSD internal is a serious drawback. My next plan is to try the drive Caddy + SSD boot drive solution but somehow I fear that it could also do not work.

Wouldn't be a kind of failure of the Logicboard? I'm certainly not an expert, but don't really see any other reasons.

    Thanks in advance!

any SATA enabled the logic board on a MacBook Pro after that 2007 should accept an SSD (I guess that ANY Board with SATA connectors actually are eligible for one SSD)

You may have damaged something with the Commission or if you are using any 3rd party with the DSS software is might be incompatible.
