Driver for Canon imageCLASS MF3240

Where can I find the Canon imageCLASS MF3240 Windows 8 Pro driver? I was expecting a popular printer/scanner that has three years to have the driver supplied with Windows 8 Pro.

(Yes, I looked on Canon's site)

Please contact Canon technical support.  We appreciate you as a customer of Canon and appreciate the opportunity to help you.  We regret that you are experiencing a difficulty level upward your imageCLASS MF3240 for Windows 8.

We will gladly provide assistance.  Canon has not yet posted to Windows 8 pilots to the internet for this model.  Windows 8 is essentially Windows 7 with the deleted Startup menu.  Windows 7 drivers work on Windows 8 computers in our office.  Probably you have the 64-bit version of Windows 8 Pro.

Note: To know your version of Windows 8, on your keyboard, keep the windows and press the Pause/break (top, right).  The System Properties window appears and indicates the version of Windows, and if it is 32-bit or 64-bit.

1. Select the Windows operating system since the (select operating system) using the left arrow.

2. Select the version of Windows 7 x 64 (for 64 bit) of the (select OS Version) using the right arrow.

3. click on drivers.

4. click on the link Description in the file for imageCLASS MF3200 Series Printer Driver Ver.3.00 for Windows XP/Vista/Windows 7 x 64 edition.

Instructions for completing the download and installation will appear on the new page, so that you won't want to read this.  I have also included the instructions below.

You will also see a warning at the bottom.  Review the disclaimer and click on I agree - begin download.

NOTE: By clicking on I have fall - Go Back will take you back to the list of available downloads.

Download the file from the driver to the desktop and double-click it to extract the files.

64-bit download/USB installation procedure:

1. connect the USB cable and make sure the unit is powered.

2. Click Start, right click computer and then click Properties.

3. left click on the Device Manager on the left side.

4. under strangers or other devices, you will see listed Canon.

5 double-click on one, and then click the driver tab, then update driver.

6. click on browse your computer and go again.

7. Select the desktop in the list, then on the back of Canon.

Note: The desktop is the default download location.  If you saved the file of the driver to a different location, and then navigate to this folder.

8. click Next and then OK and it will install the driver.

9. close the properties box.

10 perform the same steps for the remaining Cannon entries listed in Device Manager.
