  • Check out the current programmatically tab when you use the tab control

    Hi, I'm kinda a n00b.

I have 10 tables of data and I want to draw these 10 berries on 10 separate charts.  I don't want to clutter my screen so I made a tab control, with a tab for the path of each data table.  But I don't want to trace all at the same time, I want that each parcel having its own button "trace data" so that the user can customize the trace for each of these options.

I could do with 10 pieces of code with 10 different buttons, but as I said I hate the mess, so I prefer to put all this into a business structure by which according to any tab the user has selected, when they press one 'plot data', labview gets data appropriate and plots as a result.

Now, I know that the tabs are indexed and I can return at any time to any page given by using the property Node--> Pages, but I need a way to retrieve the index of the currently selected page.  Once I have that, I know how to do the rest.

    Is this possible?

    Thank you

    Jessie

It is exactly what it seems that there is a terminal on the schema that represents the tab. On the front panel, right click and select 'Find the Terminal'.

  • Where can I find the Helper of Plot Bar 3D LabVIEW in 2014?

    Hi all!

Sorry if this question is trivial. I know this is supposed to be pretty simple. However I fail to solve the problem.

I need to generate a 3D bar plot.  For this, I found the attached example VI: 3D bar with custom labels chart 2013.vi.  I tested this 2013 LabVIEW VI and worked perfectly.  However, I have to work with LabVIEW 2014 (German edition, SP1, f3). When I opened this VI with the 2014 version, I get a broken VI.

I realize I don't think 3D Helper.vi of Plot Bar where I used to find it in the version of 2013 in my 2014 LabVIEW (see image of attachen). In addition the broken VI seems not to recognize the custom 3-d bar graph indicator.

I appreciate any help you can provide to me!

    Sincerely,

    Diego

    Hello everyone!

I just found the cause of this behavior. The Helper of Plot 3D Bar is not available in the basic development system.  It was possible to see in the 2013, because it was a trial version where the VI is available!

    Thanks anyway!

  • Plot the graph of origin using Labview

    Hellou,

I try to plot the graph of origin using Labview. In Labview I connect and create the new model of origin for instance. Template file (.) OPJ) was created before. End of data in the worksheet then I plot the graph of origin. But I can't use OA_NewEmptyGraph.vi because it is to create a new chart. I'm trying to graph in graph model.

In labview that I found for OA_FindWorksheet.vi sheets, it's journal to find, but a cant find, a few "OA_FindGraph.vi" is - it is or made elsewhere?

    Hi Norbert,.

your question seems to be linked to LabVIEW, while you're wrong he posted in the forum of LabWindows/CVI.

  • "print" command in Mathscript recording is not the plots in BMP format!

    Hi guys,.

I am creating a vi that automatically generates a pdf for my project report. I found a way to record the report directly in pdf format (in other words, I have 'print' my report to a (PDFCreator) Virtual PDF printer that saves the file in a specific folder with the date/time under his name.) "So, this was the first step to make the automatic procedure).

I'm stuck in the next step, which is adding to the report no graphics bad appearance of labview, but the plots of the victims of the Mathscript.

Yes, after you have added as input 'a' my data to the mathscript node, I use the following commands:

    Figure

    Plot (a)

    print the image

Now, what is this sequence is to do a beautiful land of my data and then save it as "image.eps" in the default folder.

However, the eps format is not at all useful to me because I can't import the plot with the 'Add Image to Report.vi '. This vi supports the formats BMP, GIF, WMF, EMF and JPG only.

So, I want to save as BMP mathscript plot. It's supposed to be possible, but I have not been able to find a way. Using the command 'Print' for Labview Mathscript 2011 reads as follows:

    http://zone.NI.com/reference/en-XX/help/373123B-01/lvtextmath/msfunc_print/

    Syntax

    print

    Print (a)

    Print (file)

    printing (, file)

    Description

Print the trace window, or save it in a file in BMP or EPS format. If the trace to save window is a plot of the image or a 3D terrain, the file must be in BMP format. Other types of plots, formats BMP and EPS are supported.

There is no way for me to choose what format I want, and it automatically selects the eps. If I use the command

    print image.bmp

It gives me an error. So adding the endpoint .bmp is not the way to go.

Overall, it is essential for me to export the plot in BMP format (in order to import it into the generation of report), but I can't find a way, althouth it is supposed to work.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you

    Hi Marcus,

You must double-click the 3D graph and check the legend box in the lower left corner of the dialog box to display the legend.  After that, you can click on the 'Settings' button to the right of the "Legend" box to change the appearance of the legend.

  • Can Labview draw big data?

    Hi all

When I was in the lab at school, I used labview to collect the raw data and plotted using a Matlab

    simple,

    However...

here at work, they do not have a Matlab:)

I'm trying to get 5K samples / s and he's not going to be given at least 1 hour... She would go up to a day or more

I thought, excel is unable to process these data (field)

Can I use Labview for this draw after the acquisition?

    instead of using a Matlab?

    Thanks :))

    Hello

Yes, you can use graphic waveform in LabVIEW to plot your data after acquisition. If the data (file size) are no longer, you can plot the data into several segments and use a scroll bar to view all of the data.

  • How to create a filter by using the function of transfer mathscript in labview

    Hi all

I am currently designing a filter in labview using a Mathscript loop. The filter can be represented in the transfer function. I have attached the equation of transfer as well as its value function and the desire of graphic amplitude vs. frequency should I got to it. Also, here is the transfer function written in Matlab.

    B1 = tf ([57.5221845], [1 51,017077 205.1868]);
    B2 = tf ([1 0], [7.6991]);
    B3 = tf ([1 0], [14.32433403]);
    B4 = tf ([1 0], [137.6017]);

    F = B1 * ((1+B3)/((1+B2) *(1+B4)));

    Plot (F)

I also change the encoding as Labview Mathscript does not support Matlab coding "tf" as function of transfer to "bilinear".

I am facing problem to are:

    (1) cannot display the graph of the labvie filter.

    (2) cannot have sinewave as an entry in the filter.

    (3) the output can not be display in graphical form.

We hope to have the earlier response of you guys. Thanks in advance

  • Read file test.txt (binary or what?) with LabVIEW 8.6

    Dear friends!

Please, how to read the attached file (test.txt) with LabVIEW 8.6.  In the same VI, can I convert it in a txt file real with the results presented in the rows and columns? Please, any idea? I need help!

The rebooting of the trace file is binary.

Unfortunately, without a description of the real file by developers RELAP format, I don't think you are going to get very far on the decoding of the file.

You must get directly in contact with the authors RELAP.

Here's the blurb to the RELAP Manual:

    3.1.4.2 the reboot-Plot file.

The restart-trace file contains almost all the parameters of calculation

(Sub fractions, pressures, temperatures, flow rates, etc.) for transient computing together.

A common misconception is that a parameter must be specified using a minor in change request

in order to be available in the reboot-trace file when the calculation is complete. Affects a minor change request

only the printed output. The restart-trace file is accessible repeatedly that the new data should arise. However,.

during a calculation, the data are written to the reboot-trace only for minor editing file (and the plot point)

frequency. Once a calculation has been performed, it is not possible to recover data between data

written to the file to restart-track of the points. Therefore, it is important to choose a minor edit (and plot the point)

frequency that provides the plot to an interval appropriate to the problem is resolved. In practice,.

the minor change (and plot point) frequency must be changed during the calculation as the product of the problem

from one phase to the other. Common points must be selected in the phases of problem where rapid

    RELAP5-3D/2.4

    INEEL-EXT-98-00834-V5 3-18

setting changes are expected. For the economy, less common points must be selected in the phases

where the conditions of rest are expected.

Calculations are usually made using several reboots. (See Volume II for the restart entry

requirements.) For example, a new problem runs from 0 to 10 seconds. This first part is analyzed and

Run again from time zero that errors will be corrected. When a managed to 10 seconds has been calculated, a

restart run is made (for example, 10 to 30 seconds), and so on. RELAP5-3D

© offers you the possibility of

change of almost any feature of the model at any point of restart. When changes to the model are incorporated on

reboot, reboot-plot file reflects those changes only after the decimal point in the calculation, where they have been

implementation. In the example above, if an injection system is added to the model to 10 seconds, then data

for added components exists only for the time after 10 seconds. Changes, deletions and additions of model

are constantly being implemented. If a model change is done in 10 seconds, the revised model remains in

effect unless other changes are made to subsequent restart points.

When a calculation is completed, the restart-trace file becomes a valuable document of the

calculation. If lost, replacement would require reperforming the calculation, usually to the considerable

loads. At a later date, the file can be accessed and previously compressed data can be obtained as

necessary to extend the analysis. Therefore, it is recommended that files of restart-track of the important calculations

    be protected safely and permanently.

  • How to force a refresh of the plot

I'm trying to load some data from a text file and it draw 2 different contour (3d surface plots).  Inevitably, the first time that I load the file after that I open the VI, crass conspiracy does not refresh.  However, the plot very well done.  I don't know if it's a matter of timing of the completion of all the data of the file loading, or what.  I tried to re-wiring son error to force the sequence and tried sequential structures.  Nothing seems to work and I can't find a control for me to force him to cool off.  Anyone know what could be going on here?  I have included the 2 required VI and an example of text file.  Can someone help me out here?

    Thank you

    Chris

    Hi Chris,

I ran your code with the enforcement tool point high (light bulb next to the pause button in the run menu - sorry if I've just insulted your intelligence, but not sure about your experience with LabVIEW). I noticed that the variables local just outside the structure of sequence would first update with values 0.0 then the code could perform the function of file as well as the previous code dialog box this feature. Given that local variables were called first in LabVIEW and updated with zeros as opposed to data acquired from your text file, the result is a track of course empty.

When you run the code a second time, locals have since been updated with the correct values, which is why you get the plot.

I have attached a screenshot and a .vi of my suggestions for what you can do to ensure the update of these local variables at the appropriate time and allow the data to chart at the interpolation of course in the first run. I hope that this solves your problem. If this isn't the case, please let me know.

Also, I will take a lot of heat from other programmers out there if I did not at least mention that using multiple local variables throughout your .vi can be problematic in the sense that it can be difficult to properly manage the data flow and can lead to the frustration of troubleshooting. There are certainly better alternatives, but I thought you'd rather have a quick solution for now and worry not about cleaning up the code later.

    Hope this helps,

    Cory

  • How to implement the wafer map using LabVIEW?

    Hello LabVIEW Masters!

I have a project which includes control and searching for information on a PROBER. One of the difficulties I have now is how to implement a WAFER card using LabVIEW. According to the requirements of my client, the element of pads varies between 6 k and 23 k. I guess that do everything (a = a ctl/indicator led) will be a hell of a task, especially on how to effectively manipulate each elements. Does anyone have a better idea on the way whose that?

Please, I seriously need your help...

    Thank you and best regards,

    Dennis DG

    Hi Dennis,

    This wafer GerdW post card appears to me as a sort of histogram (for example http://www.ni.com/white-paper/4158/en#toc3);

Altenbach post well this example that shows how to use a plot of intensity to create a 2d histogram:

  • Can I detect a change of name of plot event in a legend of the plot?

I want to update a configuration file, if a user changes the name of a conspiracy in the plot legend.

Events, I see plots are: value change, the change of range autoscale, plot attribute change and change of range of scale.

Change of attribute plot doesn't seem to understand anything like on behalf of the parcel, and others obviously do not contain this info either.

Is it possible to recover this event?

    Thank you.

    Jordan

First of all, remember that there is no simple way to encode anything, so I can offer a possible solution for you, but it certainly isn't the only one.

LabVIEW has no property to check if the name has been changed through a structure of the event, but you can create your own LabVIEW can read events. I found this really good which may help you. Read this and mess around with it and see if it gets you anywhere: Creation of user events

Once you get to trigger the appropriate, then its just get this deal to update the file you want.

Another possible workaround solution that isn't ideal, is to create a chain control and who have to be on top of the name of the parcel. You would be able to produce then an event in this chain, change the value.

    I hope this helps.
