  There is no 'pilot' printer installed SE on Android devices.  They need an application that allows to transfer the file, usually wireless to a printer capable of the same way.

  HP offers the ePrint program (free in the game store).  Since your printer is compatible ePrint you can print two ways:

  1 save the printer with HPconnected.com and receive the address you created for it.  Now you can send files as attachments to the printer (if you have connected it to your Wifi network at home!)

  2 using the 'share' built-in Adroid feature, you can 'share' a file and direct them towards ePrint.

  Note: The application ePrint must be activated first, with a code that you request HP.  Open the application to activate.

  Note 2: The 'Print' function integrated in the form of tablets from Samsung will not work unless you have a Samsung printer compatible wifi.  This is the way it has been designed by Samsung.

  I will pass this message to the ePrint section where, printing from Samsung Tablet has been discussed several times.

• Win 7 driver for Deskjet 950C

  Here's the deal. I know I can use Windows 7 update to get the driver for a printer to 950c. However, I am a system administrator in a corporate environment that is allowed to do. I have a user who has this printer and has no rights to use Windows Update to get this driver. Is there anywhere I can download it manually? I could download from Windows Update on my machine... but no idea on which it is stored.

  Too bad... I found a way round-to-end to get it on his machine.

  Well, I created the printer on my machine and shared.

  Then he installed the printer on his machine from me to get the driver loaded on his machine.

  He then hooked the printer locally on his computer and he was able to install.

  I'm afraid your printer is too old and is not compatible with Windows 8, so there is no workaround solution that can allow the use of the printer.

  I try to install my Deskjet F4180 on Yosemite following instructions in http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04488851 but when I plug in usb print queue is not created automatically and the printer software is not installed automatically.

  Then I try clicking + option and I get the answer, you can see in the picture: there is no software available for this printer in Apple. Get in touch with the manufacturer of the printer...

  Try to install the software manually and check to see if that can help you:

  First, fix the permissions of the drive to avoid any possible problem:

  1. open the Applications folder.
  2. go to the Utilities folder.
  3. double-click on disk utility.
  4 Select the hard disk that contains the boot volume.
  5. go to the first aid tab and select Repair disk permissions.
  Note: This process may take several minutes depending on the Mac and the amount of the permissions that need to be repaired. The progress log shows when the process was completed.

  Now, download and install the package below, try chicken add the printer again:

  The Deskjet 990c driver available via Windows Update is an excellent match for the Deskjet 6122. Install the driver as described in the paper here.

  Download and install the printer drivers HP from Apple combo:

  Once this is done, enter print & scan and add the printer by clicking on the sign more. It should be added without problems.

  These instructions worked for me, the only exception that instead of selecting the driver 990 c, I had to use the Deskjet 920C printer driver. With the 990c all the printed pages were empty. I now the Deskjet 916c running with the Deskjet 920C driver. The only downside that I have now is that the driver does not seem to support the manual duplex, but at least I can print. Thanks for the pointers.
