Driver NVIDIA GeForce4 440 Go to Satellite 5105 - S901 display!

Hi all
I Toshiva Satellite 5105 - S901 and knows some proplems with running the latest games, perhaps because of the pretty old driver Nvidia GeForce4 440 Go display. Laptop was purchased in 2002, and since that time video-drivers were not updated.
So, where can I get the?
NVIDIA does not provide drivers for chipsets Go and send customers to the manufacturers. But on tosiba.com I found the drivers that have been placed there exactly in 2002. My laptop already has these.
But where to get the new?
I do not think that he in no heas driver-implementation to date was carried out by Toshiba for three years for Nvidia GeForce4 440 Go display driver.
Well, need some advice.
Sincerely your of
Alex.
P.S.:laptop has again good perfomance (P4 - 2 Hz, 2 GB of RAM, 64 MB video).

Hi Alexis,.

I had problems with my graphics card ATI Radeon runs is not one some games, so I contacted the guys at support of TDK who suggested I should use the latest drivers from http://www.omegadrivers.net/.

Unfortunately I could not the ATI drivers to load on my laptop, but maybe you'll have better luck with the NVIDIA ones.

I agree with you that it is a great shame that Toshiba don't do not update their graphics drivers.

Kind regards

This old laptop model is certainly not longer supported and you do not find an update on the Toshiba support page. What you can do is to look around to find the laptop with the same graphics card, but maybe with newer driver and try to install it.

Can you please tell us why you need more graphics performance? For games?

    Hey guys,.

I recently bought a P855 - 30G to use as a portable desktop computer and the first thing I did was install Windows 7 Ultimate on it ratther than to use the pre-installed Windows.

Now, however, every time I try and install the nvidia drivers, it says: "No compatible hardware" and the Wireless does not work on the box it has on any other laptop I've owned.

    How can I fix? :(

    Hello

You have installed another version of Win7 and now you're talking about problems
I think you have not had any problems with Wlan or a chart using the preinstalled... system right?

I don t think that laptop has any problem here, but you have just installed a driver compatible or used the wrong driver.

Did you choose the nVidia driver and the European page WLan driver driver Toshiba?

    Hello

I really Don t understand what you need. You need drivers for the wireless card? But these located in the wireless card installed in this machine (AFAIK). What is a PCMCIA card you have? If Yes, then you must go to the D-link website (just google for D-link) and get the drivers there.

If not, you should check this site for drivers who apply to your machine:

  • Satellite 5105-S901 and installing the OS

My step son brought me this laptop, I installed a new Hard drive in. However, I can't force the material of the system to boot to the CDrom without pulling on the hard drive first. It has a rom password must be insterted before the end of the boot sequence, however, with the installed hard drive, it of course cannot find an operating system.

I flashed the bios according to the toshiba Web site by removing the HD and force the boot on the cd to flash bios image.

You can forget the F12 option, although a screen appears first while waiting for the password, there is no line little under the images that can be manipulated to change the source of start-up. After you have entered the password, it immediately captures the HD.

    Help?

    Hello

I assume you mean user or supervisor password.
Perhaps this password prevents the laptop to boot any CD.
Why you n t remove this password first, and then try the CD?

Usually, you might delete this in the BIOS.
    Please check this!

    Good luck

  • Need new driver NVIDIA for my Satellite Pro 2100

    Hello

Anyone know if there is a newer version of the NVIDIA graphics driver that comes with the satellite pro 2100? I looked on the Toshiba downloads section and on the NVIDIA site, I have not had any look to find everything. They simply stopped updating this driver?

Any help will be thank you very much and I do a search before posting, but haven't found anything.

    Thank you

    Hello Steve

Satellite Pro 2100 is fairly old unit. It is about 6 years old. Graphics card is NVidia GeForce4 420Go with 16 MB of memory only. Now the question: do you really want that Toshiba should support unit of 6 years with the latest NVIDIA driver? Please don't be crazy on me, but I really don't understand what you expect.

A more interesting question to me is: for what purpose you need new driver? You want to use with newer games, or maybe you some graphic problems watching movies DSVD?

I really would apreciate if someone can help me solve this issue.

    > During a game for half an hour, the screen darkens and a second view later, I get a blue screen.
Well, my first thought is that this problem is related to the graphics driver.
I mean it could be a software problem.
But I know that a BSOD can also occur if the graphics card chip began to malfunction.
In your case I m not sure what could cause this problem. But to play a game, that the GPU is running with a maximum yield and produce a lot of heat. If the temperature rises to a higher level the GPU can also cause a BSOD.

Anyway, first of all, you must check if the graphics card driver update could solve this problem.
Maybe you could use a driver from other websites but please note that this is ONLY possible at your peril!
