Satellite P750-05F reserved graphics memory and best driver nVidia

I recently bought a P750-05F.
Windows 7 say systems specifications

8 GB of ram installed. 6 gig available for the RAM of the system.
For the graphics GT540M said he dedicated 2 GB, 4 GB available.

Obviously 2 gig of system ram is reserved for graphics. How can I cancel it?
I think that 2 gig dedicated is more than enough.

I want to free the RAM of the system 2 gig reserved for RAM in the system.
I can't find any bios or graphics driver for this options?

Also, what is the best driver nvidia latest to use for best performance on this laptop?

Help, please.

Share the graphics card only if memory his need. But you can't change it manually. This is controlled by the graphics driver and the whole process is executed automatically.

First of all, the graphics card can be improved and if so, should I go with?

Depending on the type of memory I thought to install is:

    Crucial Ballistix Sport 16 GB DDR3 - 1600 PC3-12800)

I heard that 8 GB was supposed to be the max, but that was only because it was all that was available at the time, the system was released and that others have used up to 16 GB.

It will work or is there another suggestion?

Thirdly, the SSD I plan on installing is:

    Crucial BX200 480 GB SATA III 6 Gb/s 2.5 "Solid State Drive CT480BX200SSD

Still, I read the system never was not originally designed to support SATA III but if you use BIOS version A09 it would work.

    Is that correct or suggestions?

The last two things I was wondering was that the system overheat easily and stops, to rebuild the thermal paste on the CPU and heatsink help correct this?  As well as to clean the fans, of course.  Or are there other options I should look into?

Anyone know where to buy a new adapter power for this system as well?

Thank you in advance for any help you can provide me with.

    Hello.

First of all I would like to ditch the 620M processor, it's i7 below, you can get and dual-core only, not quad.

You should be able to find an i7 820QM at a reasonable price, these days, 920QM or 940QM would be even better, they were the fastest available for this model.

Once you have upgraded the CPU to something on an i7 720QM you can upgrade you RAM to 32 GB at 1333 MHz with no problems, if you want faster than 1333 you need to adjust overclock settings in the system BIOS.

You have two HDD slots, up to any size SSD 1 TB plug-and-play (or to the more require very few adjustments BIOS) Firmware may need to be updated but also that it should be OK, just stick with an alienware used as Samsung brand, and if you can get one from the SSD slightly more older you might save money , you don't need a model 'latest and greatest '.

Upgrade your GPU in the M17xR2 model can be a pain, the fan control is terrible and to really improve and play safely, you should probably use HW Monitor, so you do not cook your cards.

Memory the AMD maps are more lenient when it comes to bi - GPU - I think remember me some upgraded GPU not X shot or SLIing in this model, but now is earlier in order not to forget.

The M17xR2 is a very popular model, with thousands of people, the GPU upgrade - you can having to sort through the garbage to find the jewels but the info you need should be available if you do a search on google

NotebookReview Forum would be a great place to start, 99% of the info you need should be there, the other 1% proably will be on techinferno.

Guilbert - I still think that the M17xR2 has been one of the best they have done...

  • Envy 15 t: upgrade memory and hard drive HP ENVY 15t

Hi guys, I just bought the HP Envy 15 not touch t (ae100) with the following characteristics:

-CPU & graphics: 6th generation Intel Core i7-6700HQ Quad Core processor + Intel HD Graphics 530

    -Memory: 8 GB DDR3L - 1 DIMM

-Hard drive: 1 TB 5400 RPM hard drive

I have a few questions about it. First of all, my laptop doesn't have a vacant unit of m2 where I can insert an SSD and if not a SATA 3 2.5-inch SSD fits instead of the hard disk without additional fixing or need support.

Second, is there an empty memory slot to insert a 8 GB of additional ram.

Any kind of assistance will be extremely useful and thanks in advance.

No crack m2. From the Manual:

Only dedicated support of storage SATA m2 (Port 0) (models with i7 processors and 4 GB memory graphics)

So if you have Intel HD video only you do not have a slot m2.

Here's the manual for your use:

    Repair manuals

Yes on the memory 8 GB 2d module:

Both not accessible/upgradable module DDR3L-1600 slots double channel memory support 16 GB of RAM in the following conƭgurations ● 16384-Mo (8192 MB × 2)

Access to the memory and hard drive are obtained by removing the lower cover. Technically this is not allowed to the end user if security is jeopardized.

A standard 2.5 inch SATA SSD to integrate perfectly in the original hardware for hard disk 5400 RPM. It is a highly recommended update. The 16 GB of RAM not so much, but it's one of those things "might as well" If you are determined to go there.

  • Satellite E105 - Allocation of graphics memory

    Hello

I have a Toshiba Satellite E105-S1402. I recently bought Starcraft 2 and my laptop has almost always slows down the game. I guess that's a problem graphic since everything else on the laptop exceeds the minimum requirements. I thought to increase memory dedicated to graphics card but I don't know how to do it. Can anyone help?

I discovered that, by right-clicking on the desktop (Vista OS) > personalization > display properties > advanced settings, I see the following:

128 MB dedicated video memory. I guess that's the figure I must increase, but I don't know how to do it. Can anyone help.

    Kind regards
    Jarlaxle

    Hello

According to specification for laptop, your laptop has Mobile Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD with 128 MB - 1342 MB dynamically allocated shared graphics memory. This cards don t have some sort of control of memory where laptop user can set how much memory will be used for graphical operations.

If you want to offer more memory for the graphics, you need to upgrade RAM but I think that 4 GB of RAM you should have now is maximum RAM that can be used on your model of laptop.

  • Satellite P750/05q - new graphics driver update?

    I have a Toshiba Satellite P750/05q with a Nvidia GT540M graphics card.

Toshiba drivers are quite old compared to the generic drivers from Nvidia, but I read that I should only use the Toshiba drivers.

So Toshiba never updates its graphics drivers, or am I stuck with the same driver for the life of the computer?

This common problem of s with portable machines. Manufacturers of portable don t offer display drivers updated. All this is quite complicated because of the design of laptops and cooling system.

  • Updated by Satellite P750/05F to Win 8.1 Pro - a few questions

I just upgraded my P750/05F Windows 8.1 pro with a CLEAN win pro 8.1 installation

I downloaded and used only the windows 8.1 drivers listed for the P750 via the toshiba site.
I've always had some problems, but I think I solved the

IE. : no Win 8 driver worked for ENE IR device, so I used win 7 64 bit
Atheros windows caused 8driver problem so I got latest Atheros site

There is no drivers windows 8 for the trackpad on the toshiba site and windows drivers 8 synaptic install not at all, so I used windows 7 64 drivers.

So far, the machine seems stable with it.

Im very bored Toshiba did not provide a windows driver package 8 for complete installation.

    Anyway my questions are outstanding

    1. is there a windows driver 8 for the TV tuner? or can I use the driver windows 7?

    2. my FN keys work, but I did not comment on the screen for windows 8 when I use FN F8 keys to enable or disable the wireless. With windows 7 there are icons that would jump to the top. Is there a software for this?

    Thanks for any help.

Toshiba has provided a research of system of Windows 8.
There you can check if your system can be updated to Windows 8. 1
    http://support.Toshiba-tie.co.jp/windows81/list_au.htm

In case your laptop series isn t listed, the laptop series isn't supported to win 8.1.
This means that the drivers Win 8.1 would not be available too. :(

It really good news that your machine runs on stable even using the Win 7 drivers.

With regard to the return to the screen button FN:
This part is controlled by Toshiba function Key Utility to win 8.1

This tool is available for several other new series laptop and that's why I recommend you to install these software released for other series.

  • Satellite P750 PSAY3A: Intel GPU switches do not to NVidia GT540M

    I have a Satellite P750 PSAY3A 0MQ001.
I can't make Gpu Intel HD 3000 to the Gpu Nvidia Gt540M via the NVidia Control Panel (switching Optimus is not do properly either).

I choose the settings to use the Nvidia card high performance for some programs, but do not use them, it goes the same for games. The strange thing is, if I install the latest Nvidia 301,42 drivers via a facility clean, said programs will use the NVidia card, if I restart the laptop, they use the card NVidia still once, until I re - install the NVidia drivers again.

I tried to install the latest drivers Intel HD 3000, but the system said their inconsistent and I must use the Intel from Toshiba driver (I am sure I have the latest downloaded correct drivers).

I did a factory restore today that having the same problem, the Nvidia card is not used even if it is enabled by default, until I have go through reinstalling driver routine.

I am at a loss to know what to do. I talked to Toshiba support on the phone I have the warranty, but I want to make sure it's a "hardware problem" not "Software", before sending it to the sea.

I saw a message somewhere in my "trip of suffocation of the parameters" that says something along the lines of my Intel GPU must be plugged into a housing PCI Express x 16 for maximum performance, I know that the NVidia card is via looking through the Information when setting up Bus system, it's PCI Express x 16 Gen2 Perhaps the two Gpu need to be plugged into the PCI Express connector to move seamlessly between the two (I couldn't find the Info Bus for the Gpu from Intel), if so, this maybe the fault of hardware. I haven't looked, I don't want to void my warranty, but if that were the case, I would be willing to send it to get it looked at by Toshiba.

Can someone please give me some advice on forcing Intel to switch to Nvidia, as it is supposed to without having to constantly re - install drivers NVidia Lol...

    > I tried to install the latest drivers Intel HD 3000 but the system said their inconsistent and I must use the Intel from Toshiba driver (I am sure I have the latest downloaded correct drivers).

Usually, you should be able to install the latest driver from Intel HD graphics card, but you must do so via Device Manager. You must choose the graphics card Intel and point to the folder of the Intel driver that you have downloaded from the Intel page manually.

  • Equium A200 PSAE8E: Need info on memory and HARD drive upgrade

In the manual of my Equium A200 PSAE8E described the possibility for the user to add a second internal hard drive and upgrade the memory from 2 GB to 4 GB. This can be done by the end user without taking the laptop to the local service for repair.

I would like to order a 200 GB internal second hard drive, as well as to replace the 2 chips of 2 GB of Ram with 2 4 GB chips, but I find not the product ID for these modules, because it seems that this model of Toshiba psae8e is not registered for compatibility.

Someone has technical details about the product ID and the cost to be sure to order the right parts without compatibility issues?
    Thank you
    Paolo

    Hello

I would like to add some info on the second HARD drive on laptop Equium A200 upgrade.
As far as I know all the A200 are delivered with the second HARD drive location. This location is available, but not all phones of A200 could be improved with the second HARD disk, since it lacks the second HARD disk controller interface.

Therefore, you should be 100% sure if your laptop can handle the second HDD.
You can simply check this remove the cover of the location of the HDD on the second and check if the connection of the HARD disk is available.
If this isn't the case, then you cannot move the laptop with the second HARD drive.

    Now something about the memory.
I studied in the internet for some compatible modules and surprise, surprise ;)
    Found this wonderful site:
    http://www.orcalogic.co.UK/ASP/ProdType.asp?ProdType=30715&ft=m&St=3

According to the news the portable supports the DDR2 667 MHz (PC2-5300) 200-PIN SODIMM memory modules.

All parts such as memory or HARD drive can be ordered also with the service provider authorized in your country!

  • Satellite A50: Question about type RAM and HARD drive

Anyone out there who would try to open their laptop Toshiba Satellite A50, what type of RAM and hard disk of brand you all have inside?
All the portable toshiba comes with Toshiba RAM and hard drive?

    Hello

As far as I know the Satellite A50 uses DDR PC2700 modules. These modules must be compatible:
    PC2700 256 MB (PA3311U - 1 M 25)
    PC2700 512 MB (PA3312U - 1 M 51)
    1024MO PC2700 (PA3313U-1M1G)

There are different models of Satellite A50, but I think that there should be a drive HARD IDE(ATA-6) 60 GB 4200 RPM with 8 MB buffer size.

Here is all the information I found.

  • Pavilion DV6 freezes but passes the Tests of memory and HARD drive

I have a dv6-3025dx that the POST is fine. It does not start after the screen 7 start, the recovery Partition loading bar or a Windows 7 recovery disk loading bar. The HP Vision diagnostic and a drive OEM 7 freeze as well. Start with a Ubuntu DVD displays icon on the keyboard at the bottom then nothing else than a cursor flashing at the top left of the screen. The HARD drive and memory in the BIOS Tests pass but the start-up Test, the Burn-in Test and the Test of memory in the partition the disk diagnostic all freeze immediately.

I reset BIOS, change the RAM with known working sticks and clone the HDD on a well known player and still get the same result. I had to clone the drive from a different machine, because Acronis True Image 2011 boot disk crashes after the splash screen. A 3rd party BACK base RAM and HDD tests pass with flying colors; including Windows, MemTest86 Memory Diagnostic + and video memory Stress test. Basically, I can't start any GUI environment. only of DOS or Linux command line. I'm guessing that maybe the video chip? Ideas or confirm my diagnosis?

    Thank you!

You make text based OSes seem to work well. This could mean that the video card is at fault with loads greater than the bare.

However, it could also be a SATA controller flaw that does not correctly handle the load. There is really no way to test this reliable I found.

No matter whether the video controller or the controller SATA, the result is the same and that is replace the motherboard. If it was office, a SATA PCI-based controller can be purchased cheap enough to exclude it. However, this is not an option here.

It really isn't too much other material in a notebook that is involved in the boot process and most of the material is soldered to the motherboard.

    I'm sorry.

  • Satellite P20-504: memory and HARD drive upgrades

    Hello world

I have an OG (Original giant) P20-504.

Friday the 13th (seriously!), my hard drive is dead, thankfully I had a recent backup.

    I need some recommendations: -.

    (1) best to buy 80 GB drive.
    (2) I want to improve my memory, that can use? (2048MB is the target)
    (3) the modular drive of 2 adapters can still be purchased
    (4) no adapters only allow you to add a 2.5 inch drive?

In addition, anyone who has any point of view on how the P20 (mine has a 3.2 GHZ processor) will take care of Vista? I think that the graphics card may be a little wussy.

Also, how the P20 to compare with today's machines?

    Concerning

    Richard

    Hi Richard

I m in the same situation as you.
I want to install Vista on my old A50, but it has not been possible because of the 25 MB of ram. I have upgraded to 512 MB to I hope it's going to market.
Of course, the graphics card is not very fast, but I think that the operating system should run. I think you should also be able to install the Vista if the laptop supports 512MB min.

In any case, ask the best 80 GB HARD disk. I advise to use a cache of 8 MB 5200mrp HDD. This should work.
PS: I had a HARD drive a week ago headcrash. Very stupid situation. I bought a 60 GB HARD drive because I wasn't sure if the larger HARD drive will work on my old laptop.

Memory you can upgrade up to 2048 MB (2 x 1024) and the module of PC2100 DDR - RAM is compatible

    Good bye

    Hello

Processor and graphics card update is not supported and there is no list with compatible processors. If everything is on your own risk. In the worst case a new processor will not be recognized from the motherboard or BIOS, probably you need a new module of cooling too so I wouldn t this

In addition, the graphics card is attached to the motherboard and cannot be exchanged.
