  I was checking some topics related to the same problem, and it seems that the problem has not yet been sovled. The problem is I removed vista and installed xp on my laptop (because vista sucks), and now the audio does not work.   Hello, here is the whole of it.  I recently bought a card XFX ATi Radeon HD 4650 1 GB DDR2 video AGP8x.  I uninstalled my old graphics card driver and took out my old nvidia card.  I threw in the radeon and started my computer.  Now it starts windows and the bubble 'new hardware found' in the bar tasks appear, 1 saying he concluded a 'video something.' Then a 2nd bubble appears who says: "Microsoft UAA Bus Driver for High Definition Audio" Word for Word. As this bubble appears, my computer slows down as if the RAM has been withdrawn, and after about 30 seconds, it is a gel closely.  I can't install my drivers for the radeon and I have to turn off manually my computer is not responding.

  Now, I have tried

  • Install the drivers before I put in the graphics card
  • Research on the XFX site for possible solutions
  • Turn off the "found new hardware found" I don't not succsesfully.
  I also tried many other things, but none worked.  If anyone has a solution to this answer please problem.  All I want is my graphics card to work.  Thank you

  Then, I came across a problem where pilots would not charge because the card was not recognized.  This has been fixed with this patch.

  My product is the HP ENVY 15 TS laptop.

  Product number: E3B65PA #AR6

  OS: 8.1 64-bit Windows

  A few days ago, I upgraded my windows to windows 8 to 8.1 windows and found that no noise from HDTV when hook up my HDMI cable however video is perfectly fine. I was completely baffled because the audio was working perfectly fine before the upgrade to Windows 8.1. I tried several solutions posted on other forums, such as install other drivers and uninstall the IDT High Definition Audio Driver and then scan for hardware changes. I checked the HDMI cable and it works very well with the other laptop.

  Device Manager is needle 2 device:

  High definition audio device (yellow own showing)

  IDT High Definition Audio CODEC

  When I open the properties of the audio device high definition, that is to show:

  This device cannot start (code 10)

  {Operation failed}
  The requested operation failed.

  If anyone knows how to solve the problem, please help me

  Audio driver IDT (portable speakers) seems to work very well.

  The problem is probably with the Intel graphics driver that controls the HDMI audio.

  My recommendation would be to install the latest Intel graphics driver from the link below and see if that fixes the problem.

  OK, this is what s up. I uninstalled Vista of the laptop and installed Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 2. All the drivers I installed works fine except my audio driver. There is no sound.

  first of all, make sure that you have installed all the important windows updates. All the updates on your system? Ok.

  Please visit the www.realtek.com site and download the latest driver for realtek HD sound cards. This driver WORKS 100% because I had a similar problem and after I installed the authentic realtek drivers, I had no problem with the sound.

  I've just installed WinXP on a R500 - this comes pre-installed with Vista, but it should support XP. (2716 CTO) The problem begins when I try to search him up on top of the base driver, 2716-CTO turns his back with "Product not found".

  I recently bought toshiba Satellite C660 laptop M21G with windows 7 32 bit installed (not not licensed) and I installed all the hardware drivers except the SM Bus controller and driver of Nvidia GeForce graphics card, this because it will not terminate on the web site of toshiba, or other medium there but when I try to install the Chipset utility or the display driver (driver VGA) an error message appears in the two installation indicates that I have not matched the software requirments of minimum requirements for the installation of the display adapter and chipset.

  I don't know when it started, but suddenly my T61 has no audio/HiFi. I checked the Device Manager and saw the device on High Definition Audio Bus Audio with question mark (large) yellow with yellow exclamation superimposed on it. On Lenovo's Support site, I downloaded the 7ka114ww.exe, hoping to remedy this device to uninstall it reboot and re - install using the downloaded exe, but anything will do.

  When you say that you have installed the driver, do you also go to C:/drivers /... to run the .exe steup? The second Setup program must be run to install the driver correctly.

  I am trying to find the drivers for SM Bus controller and USB controller for the Pavilion P6 - 2307. If I go to download drivers and download updates, it does not install it. I run Windows 7 64 bit and I made sure I downloaded the correct drivers.

  At their launch, Windows 7 comes in asking if the run installation program correctly which means that somehow it didn't. It then asks if you want to run it in compatibility mode and if I say yes, nothing happens.

  Can you get it someone please let me know where I can find the correct drivers to make it work on Windows 7 64 bit.

  Satellite pro A120 is the old model of laptop and must be fully supported for WXP and Vista.

  I recently installed successfully IDT - Audio - IDT High Definition Audio CODEC and after that none of my audio worked. Everything indicates that the audio is working as usual, but no sound. Also, when I did a test "sound" in the control panel > sound, it is said "the test could not be played. (Translated from Finnish Windows Vista, but anyway). I went to IDT Audio settings (from the bottom right icon) and noticed that my headphones and speakers had been cut so I removed the 'secret' of these two, but nothing happened. I tried to restart the computer several times and recheck the IDT Audio settings but nothing found which could cause the problem.

  My HP Support Assistant tried to make me update this driver I have the computer in mid-August.  Same thing; whenever I have install the driver, there is no sound either - I have not known what you mentioned above on the sound slowly disappears.  Thahaseena, good to have you hear.  I am running Windows 7 family on a HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC.  After installation, there is no request to restart or stop to install updates; my sound card lists an error and I have to roll back the driver to make it work again.

  My driver date is January 13, 2010, version 6.10.6265.0.  It's one that I continue to back and it works.  I will install the update now and tell you what I get for audio driver is not working.
