DRM - failed to start the Service Local DRM error "access denied."

Hello, I am a newbie of base to the use of DRM. On my pc WIN personal 8.1, I updated to version 11.1.2.3 DRM. The DRM 11.1.2.2 version has been downloaded yesterday and the Local Service of the DRM has been able to start without problem. However, after update today, I am unable to start the Local DRM Service due to an "access denied" error. Any pointers/tips on how to fix? I'm sure it's an easy resolution but I have searched the internet / this blog/documentation without success. Thank you for your time and please let me know if you need additional information.

Kind regards.

Understand my own question. When I ran the installer, logged as an administrator does not cause the installer must be run with administrator privileges. I must explicitly run it as an administrator. Rookie and DRM error error disappears once the installation has been completed.

OK, so it's a big, dirty and convoluted issue, so please bear with me. Any help is greatly appreciated! I start tearing my hair out on this one...

    I'm on Windows 7 Professional 64 bit
UAC is set to the lowest level 2

The other day I have problems with the search box in the start bar. It is more was to find excel or other office applications and also he wouldn't orders base as cmd or Notepad. Whenever I run a command it returns an error like this (not exact because I have the exact error message):

Windows cannot find ': search query = cmd'

I searched a little and tried to rebuild the index in Control Panel > Indexing Options. It does not work so I uninstalled Windows Search and reinstalled. What I found now, is that the indexing service would not start and if I tried manually start from services.msc I would get the following error:

    Help!

    Thanks Samhrutha.
Your proposed solution of editing the registry is the only solution I found to this day and still work.
The only drawback that I want to emphasize is that this fix causes completely reset to its default settings of windows search.  Customizations to search what have been done by the user (e.g., windows search indexing user customizations options) will be lost.

I am running Windows 7 Pro 64-bit and occasionally experienced the same error message ( windows cannot find ': search query = XXX ", where XXX corresponds to my search query) try to search through windows when start menu search box.

Only recently, however, discovered one other cause possible/fix to this problem.
Specifically, I discovered that the error of windows search resulting from the ADDITION of a NETWORK LOCATION on the local computer (for example, via the menu option "Add a network location" that appears when you click the file menu in a window of windows Explorer displays the contents of the local computer (corresponding to the "COMPUTER" icon). The CENTER of my computer SYNC settings have been defined to disable the synchronization of network or file 'offline' and I suspect that this setting is also part the cause of the error of research.

To resolve this problem, simply tell windows search not to include the 'network' location in the search index.  To do this, one needs to access the settings of the windows search INDEX LOCATIONS (via Indexing Options-> change), then uncheck the box next to the network location (which on my computer starts as follows: oneindex: / / {s-1-5-21...)

After unchecking this box, click on the OK button and then CLOSE the button to exit the Options of Index window.  After that the error message should hopefully not return.  If so, try restarting the computer and research to test again.

    Hope this helps!

  • DSC error: IAK_SHARED failed to start the service

When I try to deploy a shared variable library, she fails to deploy and gives me the following message: error:-1967362042, IAK_SHARED: (Hex 0x8ABC7006) failed to start the service.  I'm using LabVIEW 8.6 with DSC 8.6.  I tried to run one of the examples (the example of the heat exchanger).  Any ideas?  I have LabVIEW 8.5 installed as well (many of my clients are still using it), and I got 8.5 installed DSC.  Shall 8.5 DSC be uninstalled everything first?

    Thank you

    Hi Tom,

This means that your installation is corrupted and some components SQL do not settle down with it. I would advise to uninstall completely and then put it back using the installation CD you have. I hope this helps.

I'm testing an upgrade from version 2.9 to 2.10 so I can upgrade our 6.0u2 ESXi hosts to solve the problem of multiple appstacks slow attachment.  However, I get this error on half of my offices.  I tried both 2012R2 and for the administration server 2008R2.  It is installed with local SQL.  Desktop computers are Windows 7, floating pool linked clone.  Looks like that in the beginning it shows a "HttpInitializeRequest: status response 200 Manager (2 bytes) ': OK ' but try again"computer startup on HTTP failed: Error 1000 ".  Once virtualization fails is disabled and no appstacks cling.

Just curious, it's someone else is seeing this with 2.10 and if you have, how solve you this problem?

If you are using some kind of power management on the VDI? It seems as if the machine is unable to reach the HTTP Appvolumes service for any reason any newspaper which shows success connects withion a fraction of a second if the server doesn't seem to be to busy.

Maybe you try to join an appstack that has some sort of firewall inside rule?

  • SQLFire: Failed to start and then can not close-"Access denied" & "could not start the"sqlfire"database

I ask a question, expanding to another thread 'http://communities.vmware.com/message/1884835', on the start-up and stop SQLFire.

My topography has four servers, two locators, and two servers (Server 2 SQLFire each) on which the database is deployed.  When you start the batch, without no history running, all right.  Adding and removing servers in the cluster, also seems to work very well.  However, when the whole of the system, its stopped by sqlf shut-down-all, it starts up, things go wrong.

I met the same problem described by the called thread, that is, it seems to be an addiction to data - which is not resolved.  I start locators first, one at a time.  When one starts, data dependence becomes apparent.  The Locator seems to start, but the sequence goes in a loop around the data dependence.  When you try to stop the same Locator, he returned in a "stopping" State, where it does not recover.  Try a reboot, translated by [A SQLFire Locator works already in the directory "C:\SQLFire\Locator"].  The "stoppage of sqlf Locator", producing a further: "timeout for SQLFire Locator at the stop, the status is: SQLFire Locator pid: 4956 status: stop ' results; and the "sql shut-down-all:, throws a long error that includes:" java.io.FileNotFoundException: shut_down_all.log (access is denied) "and 'Could not start the 'sqlfire' database'. '.  Both of these appear to be the crux of the matter.

I don't know what data it is dependent, because I haven't added all the data that will be persisted.  However, the system starts with default records.  I tried to check if these default disks are required, which seem not to be and I'm leaving for the partition and replication information, to read when the system starts / begins.  I can't understand why locators cannot start without the database, without any dependence on the data, and also why the system seems to require a sequence to start.  Is that not the purpose of SQLFire, i.e. a solution supporting the cross, which can be started in any sequence of old?  If an operator needs to get this bad, for a production system, should be that the entire solution be recharged from external sources, and that could take awhile.  It would seem, once the system in this state, i.e. the dog chasing its tail, he doesn't get, and I have to delete all the bookmarks and servers and launch all to reboot from external data sources.

I'll be dilly, or is it a problem in general, experienced by others?

I would be grateful for any comments, and if you could indicate the respective documentation, as I struggle to establish a correlation between the problems of documentation, even Google hits, when it encounters any problems with SQLFire.

I appreciate your time and efforts.

    Hello

I checked the docs and they are not accurate on information in Windows when using the cmd shell. The ampersand does not work correctly when called from a shell, Cygwin, or on UNIX/POSIX systems. Will get corrected.

Please, use the start command to start in the background of a single command window / batch script:

beginning of "locator" cmd /c sqlf locator...

beginning of "server1" cmd /c sqlf server...

    etc.

Add option/min to start the minimized for example windows cmd start 'locator' / min cmd /c sqlf locator beginning...

Or launch each 'start-up of the sqlf Locator', 'sqlf-start server' etc to separate windows command prompt.

    Thank you

I fiddle with my startup programs and now I have this error message: "Windows could not start service on Local computer print spooler.  Error 1068: the dependency service or group could start. "There is no printer listed everywhere and nothing works.

    Hi Jkoryzna,

Thank you for choosing the Microsoft Answers forum.

To solve the problem, fix the dependency for the spooler service information.

Click Start, run and type the following text:

CMD /K SC CONFIG SPOOLER DEPEND = RPCSS

Alternatively, to achieve this by using the Registry Editor:

Click Start, run and type Regedit.exe

    Navigate to the following branch

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE-SYSTEM-CurrentControlSet-Services-spooler

In the right pane, double-click the DependOnService value

Delete existing data and then type RPCSS

    Close Regedit.exe.

    Hi sanjeevkode,

Thank you for visiting the website of Microsoft Windows Vista Community.  As the question you posted typically associated with third party software / application that has its own way of program codes and call the corresponding system resources when installing and running. Therefore, I also suggest you to join the VMware Forums for the best support.

    VMware communities: http://communities.vmware.com/home.jspa

In the meantime I suggest you try these options / methods

IMPORTANT NOTE: Microsoft provides this information as a convenience to you. Proposed changes could lead to serious problems. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems would be solved as a result of the suggestions. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

Option 1: If you go to computer management, and then to the list of Services and find the VMware authorization Service, it appears as stopped? If so, you need to start

Option 2: Try logging on as an administrator Local host during installation first workstation, rather than you connect with a domain ID

Option 3: The question can be caused also by your security program such an antivirus or a firewall of Windows /Defender that can have conflicting parameters as to not not to perform certain tasks. I suggest you temporary disable antivirus and firewall and check the result again. You must enable security programs new that had disabled you

Option 4: The problem could be linked to a local or domain group policy. Make sure that the local account is defined as 'local user __vmware_user__' in the local Administrators group and the permissions of "Log on locally" and "Log on as a service.

The two parameters are available in the "* Computer Configuration\Windows Settings\Security Settings\Local Policies\User Rights Assignment *" branch of domain group policy or local.

Let me know if it worked.
    Hope it will be useful.

    Thank you and best regards,
    Vijay K - Microsoft Support

    Hello

Your question of Windows is more complex than what is generally answered in the Microsoft Answers forums. It is better suited for the public on the TechNet site. Please post your question in the below link: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/category/windowsserver/

  • Receive automatic updates for Windows XP "error 127: the specified procedure could not be found." Also "error 0 x 80240036: could not start the service automatic updates on local computer»

Update CPU which proved later to be bad.  Replaced by original CPU.  Re-installed Windows XP Home using a slipstreamed CD that I burned the original non - OEM drive that has Service Pack 2.  Integrated Service Pack 3 which I got from the MS. site  Everything works well except for Windows Update.  The setting seem to be correct in Administrative Tools/Services.  The status of the Service is "stopped".  When I try to start the automatic updates from Administrative Tools/Services I receive "error 127: the specified procedure could not be found."  Also "error 0 x 80240036: could not start the service automatic updates on local computer»  Used the range of anti-virus and malware and found nothing.  Currently using Avast 7.0.1426.  I also used various tools of Fix - It MS nothing helps.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

    Hello

    1. what application or antivirus security suite is installed and your current subscription?

2 Norton (another) or a McAfee application ever installed on this machine?

    3. What are the fix applications that you used so far to try to fix this problem?

Try the next method and check if that helps you with the question of the 127 error you receive.

Method 1: Rdding the DLL file by doing the following:

    1. Click Start and click Run, in the search box type CMD and press to enter.
    2. right click on CMD in the list and click "Run as Administrator".
    3. type the following command and press ENTER. Regsvr32 msvcp71.dll
    4. close the command prompt window.

Method 2: run the file system (CFS) Checker:

(Note: you need an XP installation disk to start the System File Checker search.)

The SFC command is used to detect and resolve problems with the files on Windows XP and Windows Vista computers. This command allows you to launch the Windows File Protection Service and allows you to analyze all integrity-protected Windows files and replace all problematic files identified.

    1. click on start, and in the box to start, search type CMD
    2. right click on CMD in the list and click "Run as Administrator"
    3. type the following command and press ENTER. Sfc/scannow
    4. close the command prompt window.

For more information on scan SFC (System File Checker), please look in the link mentioned below.
