  • How to cancel multiple downloads on my Droid?

I have a droid under Froyo 2.2.   I took several pictures on my phone (which, moreover, with the Froyo update, the camera has been improved a lot) then I put in place the photos to be downloaded on my Picasa Web albums.  Apparently, I selected ALL images must be downloaded, I didn't, so I waited until the pictures that I wanted to be downloaded are complete, and then I just go back and cancel the rest of the upload.  However, I can't find an option to cancel several additions!   Help, please!   It will take me forever if I have to select each file to click Cancel.  There must be an option to cancel MULTIPLE downloads.    I'm in 'My downloads' if I select the menu, it will give me the possibility to suspend or resume downloads.  If Iselect file which is placed in the queue to downloaded, it will give me only to cancel that one file I've selected.   And from now on, if I now select Cancel, it cancels the file and then force closes.   I can assume it's now forceclosing because I had these files 'pause' in my Uploads from one day to the next?

Try a battery pull.  Switch the phone off, remove the battery for at least 30 seconds, reinstall the battery and the power upward.  This clears the cache and I hope to forget the photos you are trying to download.  Not sure it will help, but easy to try anyway.  I hope this helps.

  • Can data preload Google map 4.5?

.. While the Navigation doesn't have to're - get' the information every time you switch to a different application? (Droid X Froyo 2.2.1) (I don't have a data unlimited 3g)

For example, while the wifi connected, I put a true destination on Google Maps/Nav, leave this box WAP, and Nav works the entire trip.

BUT, I just noticed that if I pass navigation (maps), even to the home screen, when I switch to Navigation, he wants to "Get directions" again (although even he already had them). This means that I won't be able to listen to / change the track in Winamp, for example, that kind of sucks for a long drive.

I have read suggestions for 'preload' map data on wifi before one trip to minimize or eliminate the use of 3 G for the Navigation data, but I don't see anyway to get Google Maps 4.5 to do.

I think the answer is that we can't.

    Am I missing something?

    Any suggestions?

    P. S.

I think that Google Maps 5 can "cache" cards. That would allow me to do what I want here and move the apps back? (I don't mind a minimal use of the given 3 G for a small re-mapping if I change the route in transit BTW)

I also read a good number of comments of problem with version 5 which concern me...

    Any guidance is appreciated.

5.0 shows the same problem. Too bad, I like many things about this on CoPilot. (has no problem since all its ' maps are pre-loaded on SD)

CP has some nice features and works very well, just that, overall, I preferred GMaps.

CP has a major problem. Is when he puts muted Winamp to 'talk', he peut/don't generate the browser volume so you have to listen to 'very hard' to hear next. Bug? Coding control? Who knows.

In any case, CP is at the moment.

Ah, found this: crude Google Maps (for caching):

    http://Forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=630887

I have that will certainly give a go soon.

Thus in such, 4.5 cannot be cached maps, but it seems 5.0 can. HOWEVER, the app still requires that sense be "obtained" every time emphasis is placed out to him to another application and then back - even if the GPS shows your route has not changed. A coding 'control' in my humble OPINION. (This applies even if you just go 'Home').

For this reason, G-cards uses a large amount of data, not necessarily. Not good for those of us on the budgets of limited data.

    Thank you all.

DROID - text messaging how then I get timestamp incoming/off texts? -I can see for the texts that come and go on the current day, but the day before (date) is only shown for the older texts.

If you long to contain the message in question, you will create an option screen that allows you to view the details of the message.  The time stamp will be there.

  • Droid: How can I get you (UN)?

When I'm done transferring files between my phone and your PC, it seems logical that I would not disable the USB storage (although maybe I'm not understand what that means).  I get a dialog box that says: "before turning off the USB storage device, remember to unmount the USB plug.  ' Select 'disable' to disable USB storage device.  I'm stumped:

1 should I disable the USB storage device?

    2. If so, how can I (UN) before they hit the button "deactivate"?  I think that since I mount the USB storage by dragging the USB icon, I could slide it down to remove, but I get the dialog box above.

    3. What is the difference between dismantling before turning off the storage?

    .. .a neophyte Droid

In Windows you want to disassemble the Droid will have an icon in the notification area of the taskbar to remove the material.  If you right-click on this icon then you will rise a pop with an option in 'eject Motorola A855.  Now click on that and then go to your phone and pull down the notification bar, tap turn off USB storage and then press Turn off.  Now you can safely disconnect the USB cord.  I hope this helps.

  • How can I get rid of the signature of 'Facebook by Droid' on FB messages from my phone?

Any ideas? I tried the settings on FB page, but also the internet settings for the phone. Maybe I'm missing something?

I don't think you can because it's the application you're using.  The only way for her to not show who is to use the full site via the browser.

Is there an app I've used lately on my main home screen that functions as a Central Inbox for all my email and SMS messages.  It's called Messenger Pure and it's a widget that you can set to display all your e-mail and messages from several sources in one place.  It is really cool and very configurable.  I configurΘ for DΘmarrer the related application mine when I touch the message, there letting read me, reply, ignoring or whatever.  It will automatically mark things like being "read" If you like and you can manage or remove them from the widget.   -Mark

  • Blue tooth speech recognition on Droid?

Just got my droid and can not seam to get blue tooth to voice dialing. Went to Verizon and they told me that it is not supported. Is this true? I have to go through the phone to dial or y at - it something I am doing wrong? Help

Bluetooth started the numbering is not available on any Android phone, but they say this is fixed with the Froyo build (OS 2.2). You can receive calls with the Bluetooth headset, but not to LAUNCH the appeal. (I assume that you mean a Bluetooth headset and not the Bluetooth application with many vehicles...)  One of the worst things about Android. Especially if you live in a State hands-free!
