Dumping screen as a jpeg

Hello

I am able to capture a screenshot of my screen of application using the sample code in docs (see below). My question is how can I get data from screenshot of jpeg data ready to publish to the server - I'd rather not have to save bmp file and then open the file for encoding in jpeg format if possible.

screen_read_window (window, screenshot_buf, NULL, 0, 0);
FD = creat (fname, S_IRUSR |) S_IWUSR);

nbytes = size [0] * size [1] * 4;
write_bitmap_header (nbytes, fd, size);

for (i = 0; i< size[1];="" i++)="">
write (fd, screenshot_ptr + i * screenshot_stride, size [0] * 4);
}

Close (FD);
screen_destroy_pixmap (screen_pix);

QImage image (ba.data ()); (/ /, 200, 200, QImage::Format_ARGB32);

This fixes constructor evil (that take a string).

Could you try:

QImage image = QImage::fromData (ba, "BMP");
or
QImage image = QImage::fromData (ba);

  • At work, in Adobe Acrobat Standard XI, how can I retrieve or convert a PDF image into a JPEG image?

    December 26, 2014

    At work, in Adobe Acrobat XI - current Standard of Document conversion, to article 6 - export all Images, I clicked on this option, and it took me to a registration screen where a JPEG option came.  When I clicked it, and clicked on the desktop, he said:

    "Adobe Acrobat".
    Acrobat cannot extract all the images in this document (my. PDF document).  Only the images that contain bitmap or raster data can be extracted.
    OK"

    I've tried several others in Adobe Acrobat Standard XI so trying desperately to be "save under" or convert to JPEG options but nothing allows you to convert my PDF to a JPEG image - and I have 10 of these images to try to convert then why nothing works for me in Adobe Acrobat Standard XI?  Can what preferences or options I change or put in order for that to work in Adobe Acrobat Xi Standard?  What exact measures I can take to fix this problem, because it drives me crazy?

    Export of images n ° USE FOR YOU, for the reasons he explained in the message. Forget it...

    I expect the Save as options to be there, but it is perhaps not in Acrobat Standard. It should be under file > save as > Image.

  • Single shot crashes my Satellite R850-169

    Hello!
    I wonder if someone could help.

    Recently, a single shot would break my Toshiba Satellite R850-169 15.6 inches (Intel Core processor i5 - 2410M, 2.3 GHz, RAM 6 GB, 640 GB HARD drive, Bluetooth and Windows7 Home Premium) laptop.

    Purchased in June 2011, so he's coming up to three years.
    Worked fine until about 4 months ago.

    In the past, when I hit the office/computer, I get an error message saying:
    "Vibration was detected. The head of hard drive is temporarily moved to a secure partition"or something like that.

    Now this message rarely turns on and the computer just hangs.
    And I have the Windows 7 Blue crash dump screen/message.

    The computer has so far managed to launch again... but I suspect one day soon, it may fail to do so!

    Does anyone have an idea what could be the problem?

    Is it likely to be a hardware problem? As a wiring loose maybe?
    Or maybe it's a software problem?

    Thank you very much.

    > Now this message rarely turns on and the computer just hangs.

    The message usually appears in the case where some shocks have affected the functionality of the HARD drive.
    In this case, the HARD drive protection sensor stops the HARD drive and moves the head position.

    I guess that your HARD drive is not working properly.
    It could be possible that the HARD disk failure causes the system crashes and I guess that the replacement HARD drive would solve your problems of laptop.

    Recommend to replace the HARD drive and recover the computer laptop back to factory settings.

  • Windows restarts after update today!

    I am running in SafeMode right now and the operating system still collapsed. What is happening is a few minutes after logging in to my user account (I'm admin), I see a blue dump screen and then Windows restarts.

    I will now try to restore before the update (it was 4) and come back. I hope someone has some info...

    Vista Home Premium on a Pavilion dv6 notebook.

    Thank you.

    In addition to the system restore to remove update, try this.

    Also change the update settings to identify the problem of update.

    Click Start > right click on computer > properties > Windows updates down the lower left corner > updates installed in the lower left corner in the next window

    > then click the one that you don't want > uninstall will appear at the top > uninstall it.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    In addition, on the page where you clicked "Installed updates", click on change settings at the top left corner it
    > Change update settings in the next page of AutoUpdate to "check for updates but let me choose etc" > OK ".
    When you take a look at pending updates, you can either download/install them one at the time, namely the update causing you problems.
    > or if you do not need an individual > right-click on > UAC prompt > hide it
    See you soon.
  • resolution of the wallpaper
    When I open an image with a photo viewer, it seems fine but when I set it as a wallpaper it is bad, the image resolution 1900 x 2350, my screen resolution 1366 x 768
    http://www.4shared.com/photo/Zk0lt2NEce/Untitled1.html
    Reduce the resolution of the image using something better than native background conversation JPEG screen Analyzer.  Everything you use (photoshop or even free things like Paint.NET) will be better, and if match you first to your screen resolution to JPEG format, the native parser won't touch.
  • Tutorial Adobe vs reality
    I would use the elliptical tool to lead the mosaic effect in a small area like a face that moves slightly. That's the problem I came on looking at the Adobe tutorial on this... Thanks for any help.
    Elliptical Problem..jpg
    Your dump screen are very small and are impossible to read.  You resize them before posting them?
    At least you're in Premiere Pro (not After Effects)
    Apply the mask round.  Click on the MASK in the effects window... then the handles in the program monitor and manipulate it to be an ellipse.
    Pen or other, then use the Fwd Tracking / Bkwd control.
    What is the link to the tutorial?
  • Best way to configure Photoshop workflow settings when source photos are taken in AdobeRGB, edited from a wide and output range in sRGB?
    Be able to quickly produce finished photographs is of importance with the majority of my photography work. That's why I pull, process and deliver JPEGs. There is no advantage to my clients to my shooting RAW for this time sensitive workflows. I won't be able to accommodate any possible future uses of the photos, so I shoot using the Adobe RGB color space. The output of my clients are JPEG images for use on the Web, so of sRGB. Currently, I used a screen wide gamut (NEC PA302W) with a 24-bit graphics card. (I plan on upgrading to a 30-bit card in the future).
    I noticed that in Internet Explorer, the reds in my finished photos are too intense on my screen. My photos look good in other web browsers on my screen. This situation worries me because I don't know exactly why it's happening since my pictures have embedded sRBG color profile and IE supports embedded color profiles. If anything, I think that the reds would be too intense in other applications that do not support embedded color profiles.
    Please let me know if my work flow can be improved outside shooting RAW and use a 30-bit screen:
    1. Take JPEG pictures in Adobe RGB color space
    2. Edit photos in Photoshop using range wide screen, 24-bit
    3. Color settings: colors of the monitor (Monitor RGB - PA302W, calibrated)
    4. Save for Web, convert to JPEG, incorporate the sRGB color profile
    When you work in Photoshop the reds appear very well. When registering for the Web and previewing "Color Monitor" the reds are intense, when previewing 'Internet Standard RGB (No. Color Management)' the reds appear very well. The final appearance of fine recorded images with the exception of when displayed in Internet Explorer, which supports embedded color profiles - color management.
    Shooting JPEG can certainly be beneficial for the size and speed, although with improvements in conversion raw in a few years it becomes harder to justify.  But if you expose just conversions in camera can be very beautiful.  The camera manufacturers do a decent job in their chips.
    Your sounds of workflow practices, but one thing you know may not be not is IE use NOT your monitor profile, so what you see in Internet Explorer is incorrect to 100% of the time.  He only reads the profile of your image.
    In other words, Internet Explorer is not properly managed by color, unless you have a monitor set to display accurately in the profile sRGB IEC61966 - 2.1.  Microsoft seems to have no intention to fix it either, which is a shame.
    I suggest to view your images in Firefox or Safari, who read your color monitor profile as well as the profile of the image.  Firefox can even be configured to display the elements of the web page in a mode of color management.
  • Export to Iphoto from Lightroom 3
    I want to export my photos done for Lightroom to Iphoto to create a slide show for a DVD.  I would use a plug-in or create a pre-series that would allow me to do.  Has anyone created a workflow that works well?
    I'm not familiar with the i-products beyond a flirtation with iPhoto in the early days before moving to Lightroom. Assuming that iDVD needs to get the stills of a collection of iPhoto, which seems reasonable. And I remember iPhoto has the ability to watch a folder and automatically import.
    I guess you could make that a collection of services to publish in Lr if you automatically manage which photos you exported in order to do a movie. However, at the time where iPhoto got his paws on it this could simply confuse Lr. So a simple export to iPhoto is probably easier.
    As to how to get that in iDVD, or if it's the right workflow to make a movie from still images, someone else will have to help with this.
    One thought is that the CIO should not question what it is displayed on a screen. To JPEGs sent to iPhoto, I expect that the DPI setting to be essentially that you can ignore it.
  • Was a change made? : before the jpeg photo showed up at the upper-left corner of my screen, with a white background for the screen. The image now appears in the center of the screen, and the rest of the screen is completely black.
    By the way, when I put the url in Safari, it's the same as before, namely the image appears in the upper left corner, and the bottom of the screen/monitor full is white.
    You can try it with this URL to jpeg:
    Yes, it is a new feature in Firefox 11, which was designed to improve the readability of images. You can install the https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/old-default-image-style/, which restores the change if you don't like it.
    I have a Qosmio G30, model No. PQG32C-AV605E with BIOS Version 3.40.
    I want to update 3.90, but I can't get into Windows.
    How update the BIOS without windows available?
    If so, please send and I will download it or send me an email on where to download.
    The G30 that I has vertical lines blue on the screen when the computer starts in VGA mode entering into Windows for the first time.
    But the machine can not get into windows, it freezes and dumps and restarts before that.
    I replaced the RAM with new RAM, but it has no effect.
    I ran the diagnostics utility and hard drives are OPTIMAL in RAID 1, so no errors there.
    Toshiba technical support told me that an upgrade of BIOS fix it.
    Thanks for any help.
    Hello
    have you tried to plug the external monitor? If it still shows blue vertical lines, the reason is a failure of the graphics card. (You can also reinstall Windows to check the related issue of f it's Os). Otherwise, contact the after-sales service.
    Hello
    In general the BSOD is the product of the problem of hardware or software problem. To check if it of software or hardware associated with deliver its necessary to reinstall the OS and check if the BSOD will appear using the new OS preinstalled.
    Of course, it s painful to do that because the recovery procedure would format the HARD drive and therefore the data backup is necessary!
    I don t think that the different input voltage might affect the functionality of the laptop computer because the laptop uses the universal adapter that supports entry 100V-240V.
    BSOD can be caused by faulty memory modules so I think that this test of memory could be useful also
