Qosmio G30: blue vertical lines and crash dump blue screen

I have a Qosmio G30, model No. PQG32C-AV605E with BIOS Version 3.40.
I want to update 3.90, but I can't get into Windows.

How update the BIOS without windows available?
Y at - it a utility BACK?

If so, please send and I will download it or send me an email on where to download.
The G30 that I has vertical lines blue on the screen when the computer starts in VGA mode entering into Windows for the first time.

But the machine can not get into windows, it freezes and dumps and restarts before that.
I replaced the RAM with new RAM, but it has no effect.

I ran the diagnostics utility and hard drives are OPTIMAL in RAID 1, so no errors there.
Reinstalling Windows went well: I can't do it in VGA mode without lines.

Toshiba technical support told me that an upgrade of BIOS fix it.

Thanks for any help.

Hello

have you tried to plug the external monitor? If it still shows blue vertical lines, the reason is a failure of the graphics card. (You can also reinstall Windows to check the related issue of f it's Os). Otherwise, contact the after-sales service.

  • Qosmio G10: Blue screen shot and later endless reboot

    Hello!

I found similar topics on this problem, but they were locked and left unanswered.

My problem is this: I have not changed of _anything_ in the BIOS for a log time. I have not installed new software or hardware lately. And I have not damaged my computer or anything like that. A few days ago I read a Web page when my computer turns off suddenly. It turned on automatically, then it asks me how to restart... count up to normal restart... the blue screen of death... restarts, wonder how... I choose "Safe Mode"... BSOD. I press F8 and try all possible options, but the result is always the same.

A blue screen indicates: "MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION" or something like that. I'll send more information about blue screens later and more machine ID.

If someone has any idea what happed and how this could be fixed, do not hesitate to write.

I can't access Windows and I won't use CD recovery (yet) because I need to save some data to the HARD drive first.

I say it's all simply amazing. Graphics card a year ago broke down (blue/green vertical lines, fans are going full throttle) and now this! This is the 2nd time in two years when Qosmio brokes suddenly.

Ok. Here's some additional context information.

My laptop Qosmio G10-105, model PQG10E-01D016FSR. After disassembly I was not able to access the windows more - not again. Several times that I managed to get into SafeMode so far, I was able to see the text "Safe mode" in every corner of the Welcome screen, but then it crashes. Once or twice the same in normal mode, Windows on the Welcome screen appears, but then it crashes immediately. In these crashes, blue screen says "MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION" or 'PFN_LIST_CORRUPT' and landfills fysical memory on disk.

If she does not get there and computer falls down at the beginning (even if the Windows loading screen) it restarts all computer instantly. Sometimes, he does not screen blue but says the following file is missing or corrupt: \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM. This error can appear four or five times in a row then it tries to start normally, but blue screen crashes again.

I can't find any logic in the accident, nor a way to avoid. It seems that various errors appear randomly. I would like to know if it is a crash HARD drive or something else. Other information are also welcome.

  • Qosmio G15: Green vertical lines on the screen

All started an ordinary day, when I was playing music on my iTunes.
All of a sudden my screen went black and the music stopped, but my power button is always blue. Since then, whenever I try to start it, it goes on the Qosmio screen and Windows XP screen and plays the startup sound, but there all those green vertical lines on the screen. And then it goes black and tsays in this way.

I was able to use Windows VGA (whatever that means) with lines all over the screen, but I am not able to start normally. Does anyone have any suggestions or have had the same problem? Please help me!

  • Qosmio G10 has vertical lines on the screen

I have a G10 which I use for the last 15 months since I bought it.
However, there are now 4 vertical lines on the screen, 2 Purple (magenta?), 1 yellow and 1 cyan. Other than these lines there are no other problems, it never fell down or something like that.

The lines are still there, they do not change in any way and are always in the same place. They appear on the screen at first power up, before the Qosmio logo lights up.

They have not all appear at the same time, they all appeared individually in the past two months. I've seen the last of them disappear briefly, then stay on.

I guess that my screen is dying slowly, I guess to be an expensive item.

Any advice thrown my way would be greatly appreciated!

I took a picture of the screen you will find at:

    Hello

I suggest you connect an external display to check if it's a graphics card or a display problem. If cela pipes appears also on the external screen then it could also be a problem with the graphics card.
If these lines do not appear on the external display while the display of the laptop has a malfunction.
However, this does not change your situation. I recommend you contact the Toshiba ASP to solve this problem.

  • Qosmio G30 - shaded black lines on the screen

    Hello

I bought the Qosmio G30-116. Great set, but it is a question. On the bottom of the screen there are two dark outline shaded (the brighter the background color is more wisible it gets.)

It is very annoying, I bought it mainly for movies. I took it to the shop where I bouth it but they said it is normal and have all the toshiba 17 "screen. But I saw 3 other models with 17 "(qosmio résolution reste la même) and none of them did."
What should I do? Is it really normal? Thank you

Puuuhhh. Hey pitorek, it's really not easy to tell if it s a malfunction of the display.
But I think that this question could be answered by an authorized technician.
I think you should contact the service partner in your country (I guess you are just the Poland ;)) and explain the situation guys.) I think that you need to send this screenshot.

Eventually, you will get a replacement. But I put t know if it could be an inverter fault or fl display or something different.

  • Qosmio G30 - fan was blasting and evil

Yesterday when I got home I started my Qosmio G30 and I think that the fan was blasting and struggling to be honest, although I only realize that afrer do some reading this morning. In any case, I have used the PC for about an hour and then left running with 1 application running while I went out.

Back a few hours later, the laptop didn't stop it yourself, but there are two generic boxes that had arisen indicating to stop the laptop and return it for service.

By the sounds of it the fan had stopped working together and the computer has been deadly quiet. I restarted and still once the fan wasn't working at all, and even if the laptop loaded in windows, I immediately stopped him again.

I am afraid that the laptop has not closed itself down when the fan is not, and if she has not done this, any damage likely to be caused, even if he did load in windows?

Looks like fans have a great generation to the top of the dust or the fan has failed.

Send the laptop to an ASP, they can check the fans and remove dust for you.

  • Vertical lines and darker screen on Satellite P30-109

    Hello

I have a Satellite P30-109 running on Windows XP... But my screen is slowly becoming bad. It's getting vertical lines from the top of the screen down. In addition, the colors are much darker than before.

But when I plug in an external display, there is no problem. So I do not think that the video card problem? He spent the period of warranty.

    TNX

    Haris

You are right; If the same question doesn't appear on the external monitor then it s certainly not a GPU problem!

I think it might be a problem with the LCD itself or with the small role as a FL inverter.
I think you should communicate with ASP in your county for a check.

Maybe if you're a lucky man, only the small part malfunctions and the replacement wouldn t be expensive.

    Good luck

  • Bluescreen and crash dump

My computer returning guard on a blue screen telling me that Windows has detected a problem that could damage my computer and preparing for a "crashdump". What is c? What can I do about it? Thank you.

    Hi Denis,.

This is very probably a hardware, hardware driver, or operating system of any kind problem and I sincerely doubt it's due to malware (if that is still possible) and certainly has nothing to do with MSE.  Please tell us your version of Windows (for example, Vista Business SP2 - 32-bit and Yes, detailing a lot).  In addition, what is the manufacturer, brand and model number specific and comprehensive (not just the series) of your computer?  Did you recently change (added or removed to any software or updates, added or removed at any hardware or drivers or whatever it IS) and if so, exactly, what did you do?  When did start?  When does it occur (at the start, when you do something specific, random,...) and how often is it (every 5 minutes or every hour or once a day, every time you start or sporadically, every time that you try to do something specific or only sometimes)?

Blue screen problems generally provide a lot of information such as patterns and names and long codes and so forth.  Can you copy it and give it to help identify the problem?  All messages are the same or that they do not change?  If they change, please provide this information for each of the different types you get.

See the following thread: http://www.vistax64.com/crashes-debugging/282419-blue-screen-death-bsod-posting-instructions.html.  Please follow these directions BUT, since you cannot attach files in this forum, please post them on your account SkyDrive in a folder where everyone has access and then post the link to this file so that we can information.  From there, it may be possible to identify the cause.

Without the above, I have no further suggestion at this point, except this:

If you prefer, you can repost this question where it really is starting here: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/system?page=1&tab=all&tm=1308174963631 but the selection of the version of Windows in the drop-down menu towards the top to join the forum appropriate for your system.  It experts that will be happy to help you.  If you do this, try to give them what I asked above because it will help them a lot to get a jump on the search for the cause and what needs to be done to solve it.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • Pavilion dv9910US Moving display (FWD/BKWD) causes of vertical lines and color changes

When moving the computer screen forward or backward through 90 degree open point causes fine vertical lines to the display, the background becomes bluegreen and the black test becomes dark red.  Any ideas what causes this?

There is a connector loose somewhere. It is most likely a problem with the connection cable of the LCD Panel. There is really no solution other than to have the machine.
