Duplicate symbol-> Exchange png

Hello

could someone help me please:

I created a symbol on the timeline. In this symbol (video clip), I use a png!

Now, I want to reuse the same 'clip '. So I duplicated the symbol.

When I change the png in it now, it will be changed in the two symbols, but I want to change in the double.

Hope you understand what I'm looking for,

Sorry for my bad English,

Thank you

You can swap the image with:

SYM.$("imagesElementName"). CSS ("src", "images/ImageName.png");

  • How can I active names change for images exchanged in duplicate symbols?

    I have what seems to be a bug in cc2014 driven on-Board under the following circumstances:

    1 duplicate a symbol

    2. drag the symbol duplicated on stage.4

    3 Rename the symbol

    4. Click to edit the symbol

    5. Select an image inside the symbol

    6. in the properties panel, change to reverse the image to use for this instance of the duplicate symbol (I need to reuse this symbol several times and not being is not able to change active names is a real problem!).

    7 names for the asset in the chronology and elements was automatically generated at the time of the duplication when trying to change the names they go back to the auto-generated name.

    How can I overcome this problem, which is clearly a bug or an evil thought thanks to some highly competent programming by another adobe edge animate tesm

    I thank in advance

    David.

    You can assign IDS and classes of symbols with attr ('id', 'newIDName') and addClass().

    So let's say I have a symbol that contains other symbols - I had to first give an id to the outermost symbol, then drill down to other internal symbols. So since I can remedy directly, then I can do what I want with them.

    When I want to create several symbols, then I run a loop so that they have the same name with an index.  Here, I'm not add an id to the internals, but you could use the same principle. You can also assign names of classes.

    example:

    create buttons in a div. navigation bar

    for (m = 0; m<>

    var buttons = sym.createChildSymbol ("button", "navBar");

    Buttons.Element.attr ("ID", "Button" + m);

    SYM. $("#button" + m) .css ({'position': 'absolute', 'top': 5, 'left': (distance += 50)});   Make sure you have the # in front of the name of the new

    sym.getSymbol("#button"+m).$('bg').css ({'background-color':'white'});})

    sym.getSymbol("#button"+m).$('number').html (m + 1);

    };

  • cRIO LVRT duplicate symbol

    I created a cRIO system I duplicated and tried to run it on a second system of cRIO.  It seems that there are questions for the cRIO LVRT start.

    I will be to reinstall the software on the controller and will let you know if it solves the problem - I was curious about these errors.

    Bootlog copied and pasted below - it's only a small fraction of the duplicate symbol errors that were returned.

    VxWorks is when loading that connects that means all global functions and variables are placed in a symbol table when the library is loaded.  If a symbol name already exists in the table of symbols then the warning "Duplicate symbol" will be generated.  For more information, see http://www-cdfonline.fnal.gov/daq/computing/vxworks/symbol_table.htm.

    My guess is that somehow a binary file is loaded for the second time, the controller implementation in form and re - install the software should solve this problem but I would like to know if it isn't.

  • How can you easily swap palette animations without too much duplicate symbols?

    This is to be exported in a film, so not a matter of Actionscript.

    I do a parody of a fighter game scenario.  A character like Subzero and the other as Scorpion.  They are the same models, but we need to be colored differently.  They are composed of symbols such as the arms and legs to make a greater animation of characters in all.  There are several animations of them, kicked, punched, shaky shots, etc.  Now, I know that if I went and edited the colors, that all instances would change accordingly.  Duplicate symbol does not work because they share the same internal symbols.  Is there a method for breeding "deep"?  I go about it the wrong way?  A tint does not work, because essentially, I want to just change the color of some components.

    create two torsos or copy the vest and neck movieclips to each character of movieclip (instead of using a shirtless movieclip to each character).  If you do the later, each character can have a color different vest/neck.

  • Copy a duplicate symbol acts

    Hello

    I'm a newbie, trying to take a Flash existing game and change it to my own selfish goals.  I'm duplicating symbols and try to preserve all their actions, so that I can then share on my own symbols.  When I swap, actions are preserved, but I ran out of symbols to swap, so now I'm trying to reproduce the rest symbol so I have more to share with, but when I duplicate actions are lost.  I adjusted the code actions to accommodate more symbols (or at least I think I have).  Any help would be appreciated.

    It depends on what your functions do and how you link the objects on the stage. And which version of actionscript you are using. In all cases, you need to name each new object with a unique name. Then you can assign the function. In AS3, you can assign an event listener and that it points to the same function as other objects use. In AS2, you could reproduce one of the functions assigned to another object and use the name of the instance of the new object in the case. Can you show the code you are using now?

  • Duplicate symbols

    I created a symbol that contains certain text fields, then I duplicated this symbol on the stage. The problem is when I edit text in a single symbol, the other is change eather.

  • Lines / white space between symbols and png using grid

    Hi all

    I am having a frustrating problem:

    I am importing a bunch of images png 64 x 64 pixels. I have my set grid in place to be 32 x 32 pixels. I have snap to grid on.

    I created my scene with a bunch of these tiles 64px and everything seems perfect and lined up in the editor.

    When I debug, however, as I move around the screen, sometimes I'll see a space or a line to the intersection of the two tiles.

    Is this a common problem? Does anyone know how can I fix?

    Thank you

    Ryan

    So, I figured this out. Incase this help anyone in the future:

    I was getting caught upward in the fact that the tiles were not perfectly aligned, but it is in fact my object camera was inbetween pixels, and this caused cracks between the tiles. Before I put in the position of the camera, I just used Math.Floor and looks like it has solved this problem.

  • Symbol of the Exchange

    Hello

    I am trying to share a graphic symbol for a clip in a sequence previously animated the chronology of high level. The symbol appears to swap - and when I double-click on it see the animation - but he does not play the clip. See also the symbol retains the icon of the graphical element next to the title 'Stage 1' above the scene.

    Thanks for the tips.

    Chuck

    Insecto salvation,

    It is as expected. When swap you a symbol instance on the stage, the symbol Exchange but the type instance and all other initially applied properties are preserved. So even if your graphical symbol is exchanged with the movieclip on the stage symbol, it still behaves like a graphic instance.

    You can simply change the type to Movieclip and get your animation works the way you want.

    Hope it makes sense.

  • Animate the edge - how to duplicate a symbol?

    Hello

    I am facing some problems in duplicating a symbol in busy border.

    For ex - symbol-1 have a circle and text. then duplicate the symbol 1(by right click the symbol-1 and convert to duplicate) symbol-2. When I change the symbol 2, than even the change in symbol-1.

    What is just way to duplicate a symbol?

    Concerning

    E.

    Select the symbol in the symbols... right click Panel, and select duplicate...

    If you duplicate this way you actually make a new symbol...

    If you select in the assets Panel and the duplicate there is just a copy of this symbol

  • Can I break association of the symbol to its original parent duplicate?

    I guess this has been asked before, but I can't find a clear answer.  I want to duplicate a symbol that contains text, but when I change the text in the duplicate symbol, text of the original change too.  It's really annoying.  Is there a way I can 'break' this association originally symbol then the duplicate becomes independent?

    Thank you

    David

    You will need to reproduce the text as symbols.

  • Creation of multiple versions of the same symbol

    I am currently using Adobe Flash CC on my macbook pro. I am trying to create different versions of a symbol. The one I have now has a walk cycle. If I duplicate symbol and start working with it, the changes that I have to him affect the original! How can I make different versions and chronology with the same symbol without them affecting one another? I need to know as soon as POSSIBLE, because it is a project.

    Right click on the symbol in the library and click on duplicate.  This will create a symbol that can be modified independently of the original.

  • Change the symbol

    Hello

    How can I change a symbol and save it as a different symbol without changing the original symbol?

    I know not how to edit a symbol, but the original symbol and all instances are changed also.

    I have to have a lot of similar symbols and don't want to create them from scratch.

    Jürg

    Duplicate symbol in the library of symbols and what you want with it.  If you duplicate in the assets Panel, then if you change the other changes too. If you duplicate the original rest symbol that it is in the symbol library.                                                                                                                                                                        `

  • Problems with duplication of symbols

    Hi all!

    Strange things happen when I use ctrl-D or alt-make slide: some of the glued symbols almost always has become tiny or invisible. Is this normal? I'm going on my project the wrong way? I have duplicate symbols in my Stadium cos I want to reuse the animation while simply changing their positions. Should I rather be sliding from my library every time?

    Also, I noticed that performance significantly slows down I start to make more duplicates in addition to symbols. I will probably have at least 100 + symbols in my page at the time I'm through (if I do), but currently County is ard 50 and it already starts to bog down, although I haven't noticed any errors or warnings in addition "svg files require appropriate server web MIME type configuration.

    Is it possible to allocate more memory to EA, just like the PP or PS?

    THX!

    Hello

    We are able to reproduce the problem in the latest version of edge animate CC 2014. This issue is tracked in our internal bugs database. Thanks for reporting this.

    Kind regards

  • Changes made in a symbol appear in another

    I have a symbol called "a". I needed 2 copies, so I duplicated A and renamed the new symbol to B. I have now have A and B, identical copies of each other.

    I've sailed inside the symbol A where I entered another symbol, 'A1 '. Inside > A1, I removed an image and added another image. No problems so far.

    Then, I returned on the stage and sailed in the symbol B > B1. To my surprise, the same image change, I did has > A1 already appeared in B > B1 (even though I duplicated A * before * this change).

    When I change the image inside B > B1, this same change is this back to A > A1.

    It's as if these two symbols, A and B, are mirrors of each other, even after modification. Problem is, I don't want mirrors. I need that they are slightly different.

    I thought that duplicate stage may be my problem. I started on (by unscrewing several steps and by closing and by creating a new document entirely). This time, I copied A and stuck on the scene. I came across the same problems.

    OK, then guess: this time, I went in a symbol and copied its elements/sub-symboles. I went back to the scene and they stuck here. Selected items/symbols and converted into a new symbol. Same problem!

    I'm puzzled. I * really * don't want to recreate each element/sub-symbole. There are many of them, and it would be very tedious. Please help me to avoid this!

    You need to duplicate symbols in the library not in the assets Panel. This way you can modify them as you wish.

  • Editing an item on a copied symbol

    Hello

    Currently, if you convert a rectangle (which includes, for example, a book title) into a symbol and copy this symbol, you get the same items (same title).

    I want to change that title of the book in the copied symbol, but any changes in the copied symbol replaces the original at the same symbol.

    How can I make changes to the elements of symbols copied so it won't affect the elements in the original symbol?

    Hope it will be possible,

    Thank you, well in advance.

    I was looking for exactly the same thing. The answer is here: http://forums.adobe.com/message/5735280#5735280

    Full text:

    Duplicate symbol in the library, not the assets Panel. In this way, you'll have to similar looking symbols but they are 2 unique symbols.

    Otherwise, if you duplicate in the assets Panel, you can just use this:

    sym.getSymbol('yourDuplicatedSymbolNameHere').$('YourTextNameHere').ht ml ('your new single text here');
